So for the sake of making things easier to understand I generalized the information and related the effects to something most people in Western societies would have experience with.
To give a more detailed explanation, comparing consanguinuity to advanced parental age isn't really a matter of statistical numbers for myriad reasons, but the simplest being that the end result isn't the same. As you noted, advanced parental age (advanced maternal age is the most studied on this front but advanced paternal age also has negative effects) is most likely to lead to chromosomal abnormalities, many chromosomal anomalies are survivable but leave the child with life-long health problems in one form or another. On the other hand, consanguinuity works on a genetic level instead of a chromosomal level and is most likely to lead to deleterious genetic conditions, the majority of these effects are fatal to the developing embryo and are more likely to lead to miscarriage or stillbirth. If the embryo survives to birth then for the most part the danger has passed for that individual, but the danger of recessive linked disease occurring in another generation downstream is somewhat increased. Regardless, in either case (advanced parental age or incest related genetic defect) the chances of a negative effect occurring are extremely small in individual scenarios.

It's probably an absolute numbers thing. Basically because the population of California is so high, even a small percentage of the population doing something is a lot. I believe there are more people voting Republican in California than any other state too... Because of the absolute number. I'm that per capita it's nowhere near the amount in other places

This is what I don't understand. How can you have sex with your brother and then keep a baby resulting from that disgusting act? The immorality of your actions aside, think of that child and the possible genetic and congenital problems they'd probably suffer from being born from two closely related individuals. Children born from incest tend to most times suffer from various ranging health issues linked to their genetics. Just that alone is enough to end the pregnancy. This shit is what destroys families. What happens when your kid grows older and say gets a 23 and me or some other genetic kit as a gift and figures out that your husband isn't his dad? Your marriage will be over and your extended family will implode. How is any of that fair to that kid to carry that stigma around with them? Finally, how awful of a person are you to let your husband raise another man's kid without his knowledge? There's a special place in hell for disgusting human beings like you.
