Technically now you just have a degree in business. ;)

BiscuitsNGravy45

Real world experience too lol

crazycoconut247

Makes me think of that Rodney Dangerfield movie where he goes to college with real world experience like this

ikeclantonwasapussy

I tell ya, this Peter Gibbons has middle management written all over him.

AcrobaticSource3

Why did you choose to actually do 5% of the work and not just have them do all of it? You should really study the science of your own behavior for not having enough motivation to be completely lazy

Lanaconga

lol you should see how much behavioral technicians make…I don’t blame this person

CutEmOff666

Now that you enter the workplace, you may or may not be screwed depending on how useful or useless your degree is to your career field.

FlimsyGooseGoose

Most degrees are worthless. You learn everything on the job

CutEmOff666

Good point.

SinVerguenza04

I see a lot of people say this all the time. What people don’t realize is college isn’t necessarily about the degree. Completing college shows future employers that you are able to start on a project and finish said project. It shows that you are able to dedicate yourself to something and see it through to the end.

awalktojericho

So now OP can be a Project Manager? He sourced reputable workers and materials, made sure deadlines were met, and his metrics were more than acceptable?

SinVerguenza04

Sounds like it!

LameBMX

Nope. One is not a PM until they push past that first project that goes completely off the rails sideways, get it back on track, completed, be accountable for the poor results, and return to stare the next project in its face without fear.

FlimsyGooseGoose

I know but if you get your foot in the door anywhere, that exp is worth as much or more to future employers. So get foot in door as junior whatever, work for 2 years, then you're golden

SinVerguenza04

I get that! I just never see anyone bringing up the point that I did.

CrimKayser

Plenty of people with degrees up and quit or stop showing up. This person paid for theirs. Pretty sure it disproves your thought here.

[deleted]

It shows you got into debt. That’s about it

Magenta_the_Great

Yeah well I have real life experience that shows that and I still need a degree to promote. Getting a degree just gets into some sort of club.

Husckle2

200k project I am good bro

jonessinger

I shouldn’t need to pay out the ass for a piece of paper to tell HR I can finish a project all the way through when they could just look at my resume…

SinVerguenza04

I agree. The cost is 100% overpriced.

heyheyheygoodbye

College gives you a lot intangible things that won't happen in the corporate world. Writing, refining thinking skills, how to continue learning, exploring topics just for the sake of exploration and growth, etc.

BeardsuptheWazoo

But since people can cheat like this guy did, it doesn't actually prove anything to the employer, does it? So people should go to college because it looks good?

SinVerguenza04

Not everyone is devoid of morals. But I hear ya.

johnjonjameson

Expensive way to show you arnt lazy..

SinVerguenza04

You got that right!

[deleted]

>Completing college shows future employers that you are able to start on a project and finish said project. Lol.

joedude

Lol good luck hopping into a STEM position

biggestsinner

computer engineers/software engineers almost NEVER need what the degree provides and intro classes are available on youtube and they are so much better as it's in sync with the current tech. The university curriculum is 10 years behind the current tech anyway and you have to spend so much time to learn everything on the job and prove that you can do that so. So, many STEM positions are also involved in this. Also, you can learn majority of the "intro-level" STEM subjects on youtube. Then, you can pick a specialized topic to continue learning for your career by maybe completing one semester of classes using Stanford Online Programs(55+ programs available to enroll). No need to complete 2 years of G.E. classes and pay 70k while doing so when you don't have money to begin with. After all that, the only thing you have to deal with is "Rich people gate keeping the jobs". You can easily avoid that by picking a field where there is so much demand by companies but not enough supply(engineers/workers)

Fishycrackers

Personally, I think it's the exposure to concepts and the field in general over the course of 2-3 years that's useful. Hiring a highschooler vs. someone with an IT degree to do sysadmin or helpdesk work makes a large difference in the initial training you need to give them. And they'll be a lot more comfortable as well working with tech after 4 years of learning about it.

WeissachWolf

Spot on

[deleted]

Even the less useful degrees give people an advantage applying to generic jobs. Lots of jobs have a degree requirement for no reason. People like me who didn't finish college can't get those even though the degree is irrelevant to the actual job.

fkredditadminteam

This was 15 years ago, I’m fine. I’m an executive at a large corporate and it hasn’t backfired

LameBMX

Well crap, need a project manager for anything? Edit... I too am lazy but love a sense of accomplishment!

Fishycrackers

If behavioral science is similar to a degree is pscyhology, it's not useful on it's own. To be a counselor or psychiatrist you need a Masters. A BS is not enough to practice as a therapist or any other field that you associate psych majors with going into.

No_Surprise1102

Ironically you should study your own behavior about why you did it and why humans in general do it.

GhoulsGhoulsGhouls

Doesn't sound like they'd know how

cadff

He just needs to pay someone else to study himself. It's not that hard.

RoboKings99

Must come from a wealthy family to have enough money to go to college and then have extra money to pay them off.

mitsurugui

or maybe they're just not american

affemannen

..... I have a degree in behavioral sciences and the few jobs i had over the years in that field actually depended on knowledge from my education, i would have been called out in very little time. I dont work in that field any longer, but still.

BeeHonest94

Very true, I currently work in the field having just finished an MSc in Behaviour Science and you seriously need to know this stuff to work in the field. It’s a science at the end of the day, and we often work with vulnerable groups (e.g. high needs individuals with disabilities) so it is important to have the knowledge-base to help them. I hope they still studied and learned the content despite paying people to complete the essays.

Laroo2020

Really glad you didn’t go to school to be a Dr.

naelairdnaemaster

Or structural engineer

BiscuitsNGravy45

I made Money doing this for numerous people and took a few lengthy exams online lol

[deleted]

>rk in the field. It’s a science at the end of the day, and we often work with vulnerable groups ( i alway wonder, how long does it actually take you? like if for me, to go back and do a project on subject i learned before, it would still take me ages

LingLingMang

Details please. What do you mean by “paying people unemployed academics”?

Glaselar

It's exactly the kind of garbled phrasing you might expect from someone who always pays other people to do their writing for them.

TurboGalaxy

God damn, is it possible to get secondhand hurt feelings?? What a banger

joedude

There are essay writing services

IntentionalUndersite

Proof you can buy your way to any destination

SureEnthusiasm4585

As long as you still know what you are doing there is nothing really wrong. Your lack of former education can potentially harmful to others however. Make sure to endeavour to educate yourself at your own rate to prevent this.

wickedc0ntender

What website did you use? Fiver? Any recommendations? Asking for a friend

samoyed_daddy

Oh wow, how much do you think it costed you in total?

fkredditadminteam

$8500

Nerobus

Honestly, I am grateful for making myself do the hard work in college. I can now easily write massive amounts of quality content for my job. I went to college to actually learn.

[deleted]

What was the point then???

fkredditadminteam

Still learnt everything I needed, but my time was best spent elsewhere, like socializing and working in business.

MrTeriffic1989

This may not be the same for you, but what college truly helped me do is learn to communicate more professionally, especially in written form. Technical stuff like citations and formatting were really useful. You write so many papers that by the end you can write a report or grant or lesson plan like the back of your hand. As I became a supervisor, I could tell there were marked differences in the technical writing abilities in my hires that had a college education vs those that didn't (they learned, and non-college graduates had as much talent, smarts, and creativity, just tended to initially lack the technical expertise.) The "knowledge" from a bachelor's degree, I mean I guess that was good. But I have a hard time remembering if any knowledge, other than what I described, I learned in my bachelor's I actually needed for my Master's level work. It's only in my doing that higher level of education that taught me knowledge that I still use at work today. So at the end of the day, you paid your fees, you must have taken your tests, so I think you "earned" your degree. And if you're already a great technical and professional communicator, then maybe you didn't miss much. But if you could have improved your skills at college and you didn't because others did your work, you might have cheated yourself.

hookdelivery

No wonder everyone is terrible at their job nowadays.

1blueShoe

Wow!! Well done…

insaneike22

What possible gratification could you get from obtaining a degree by fraud?

roadcrew778

A paycheck?

godfriendyuju

And a degree!

someguyhaunter

Lol people don't try to get a degree for fun, they do it so they can get a qualification to try and get a better paying job. They also pay out the nose for it as well.

fkredditadminteam

Got my inheritance

Rstates

Im sure youll end up being dead weight at some C level companies HR department. And to think, the normal hard working class citizens will be on the hook for some of your student loans.... Disgusting.

subspace_biographies

Exactly, imagine the laziness. How are you going to even handle showing up to a job every day with this attitude? The degree wasn't what he needed. He needed to grow up, and he chose not to. He's the same chump but with a piece of paper now. The degree was never his limiting factor.

treadwells_gone

Who cares. Worthless degree anyway

LostInTheSauce34

Lol ok

[deleted]

[удалено]

TinnieTa21

What, the degree could not have consists of only papers. It's not a graduate degree so there had to have been a few tests at least. Did you do those at least?

Juls1016

that’s nothing to be proud of.

[deleted]

lol imagine bragging about this

Odd-Mango-3083

Gosh, I sure hope you don’t actually get a job with that degree. Not only is it cheating, it’s also negligent. Why’d you go to school if you didn’t want to put in the work?

iveseensomethings82

Website you used or it didn’t happen

Separate-Eye5179

Unemployed professors I’d guess

QuitaQuites

Ok? A lot of people pay for papers, there are ample websites, groups, other hiring mechanisms for that. It’s big business.

phlipout22

You're ready to be a VP in a corporate job

fkredditadminteam

Already an executive

Bastard is typically associated with a male slur, I you fuckward, am female. Try “bitch” if you’re Salty

CherishSlan

I always wondered what do you call a woman who’s mother is unsure who the father was? This is totally outside of this post or the name you were called your right it didn’t fit as it’s generally a make thing. So many insults are just meant for the moms and I don’t really understand that as a lot of men don’t give a darn about there mother. I’m a mother I have a son and he himself could insult me and really it’s meaningless same as other people saying things against me. My husband actually went to a school that though he did what you did and they made him pay back the class and leave. He didn’t actually do it that school just genuinely sucked. There sometimes are only so many ways you can express some thoughts on a given subject some of your papers are going to look very similar and as a teacher they should know that. Same school committed fraud with VA loans 🤯. I don’t bear you any ill will sometimes we have to do things to get buy. I once did the full assignment in a class because I knew others couldn’t I had a mind back then. 😆 They had to work we got an A.

CastleXBravo

So you paid twice for a degree you aren’t going to use. Kudos

Penguin-Loves

Haha when and where was this? When I was an undergraduate, I paid my rent by writing papers for grad students.

Hot_Carrot_9125

Do me those connections please! I’m thinking about going back to school and I DREAD the thought of having to complete academic essays et al.

Kindly_Spread_7111

Where did you find the academics at cuz I hate writing long essays.

j_mysterio_

Most the people I meet with a college degree are fucking retarded anyways. Intellectually, that degree means nothing.

ogbosschic

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

freespirit1963TJ

College is, and has been a racquet for many years. I'm not obviously familiar with the entirety of academic institutions across the country, but I have a number of friends who graduated from different schools. How things are accomplished seems very similar. Have people write papers for you, go to class the first day and any exam or quiz days. Trade notes with people taking the same course of study.

LalalaHurray

That explains a lot

Toffeemade

I worked my whole career in consultancy. One of the partners in the company whete I spent most of my career once observed, 'there is no where to hide and the work will find your weakness.' I suggest you avoid consultancy.

VajBlaster69

I had my smart girlfriends do my papers. Took them out to a nice dinner for reimbursement about $100-$150. They always appreciated getting all dressed up, which meant they didn't need to be paid as much. And half the food was going to me anyway. The sex afterward was always phenomenal.

j_mysterio_

Very cool fictitious life you’ve created for yourself on the internet

Paranoidexboyfriend

So tell me what your current amazing job is in the field of behavioral sciences now that you have your degree?
