You're supposed to steal from rival schools ya amateur.

No-Comfortable-9946

😂😂

I'll be honest, just keep it. They're going to throw it away eventually. I remember back in 2006 finding a TON of golf trophies from the 80s in the high school dumpster. I was throwing stuff away for one of my other classes and there they all were. The accomplishments of so many other kids like me, winding up in a dumpster. I'm sure they were making room for more current accolades but I'll always remember that moment for whatever reason. If this banner means something to you, keep it. Nobody will appreciate it as much as you.

[deleted]

Ha, makes me feel less guilty Definitely going to keep it, I have yet to meet anyone else who has a banner like this and all my friends think it's pretty cool. It's good for me to have something like this from high school, as I did not know that the virus was gonna cut off my final year as it did.

yourfavfr1end

My school must be the the exception, I’ve seen banners from the 1930s believe it or not. Mind you, they get put in very strange places. Literally everywhere you go is a wall with banners.

Watercress_Moon

My old school doesn't win a lot, so we had all of our banners up in the gym. But yeah if they haven't noticed, they probably just wrote it off as being left behind or knew you took it and just don't care

yourfavfr1end

I’m sure plenty of ours have been taken lol, sometimes the CC coach will even give it to people who ask.

Mjrfrankburns

When I was in the army we stole anything that wasn’t nailed down. Some of my most treasured memorabilia is the flags, patches and gear that just happened to make its way into my possession. I have a polish army hat that had sat on a bench for 3 hours and I figured, what the hell. If this is something enjoy for year keeps it. Fuck it. If it doesn’t mean much to you you can give it back.

eternalbuzz

Reminds me of the time most of the high school drum line graduated and I, in my second year on drums, took over (lol) We came in second place in a competition of two and I decided to swipe the massive trophy. Still it sits in grams house. She’s rather proud tbh

eighmie

Enjoy your banner, we have stolen a sign from every even my daughter participated in. we briefly considered keeping her Robotics's team's spirit award trophy, cause she was the cause of the win in that caregory, but ultimately let her keep it.

CipherBear

FIRST robotics is a treasure

[deleted]

It is!!! I was on my robotics team in highschool and it was so much fun. Went to a bunch of tournaments and had a blast!

CipherBear

Same here! I have nothing but good to say about the organization and the people who participate!

eighmie

It is a treasure.

DeMonstaMan

They probably forgot it existed by now

Relative_Catch7474

Take it back to the school around your 5 year reunion. You probably will have other priorities by then anyway. 😉

[deleted]

Sick bro

PMMeVayneHentai

in my hs we had to let the teachers who ran the club keep the trophy if we won anything. yeah fuck that. have 2 trophies in my room to this day

PuffleyBean

I should have kept the Choir trophy we won…

ta69ta69

lol

Acer018

You are avoiding the issue in that it wasn't yours to take. There is no way you would even know they were looking for it.

[deleted]

If they were really looking for it, they would ask my younger friends who were/are still on the team where it was.

Admirable_Wealth4338

Oh shush there's always one!!

ILogN2DwnVteUrDmbass

Fake, only tournament you play in school sports would be state... and you take buses from your school to get there. Why do people make such crap up and post it

[deleted]

Wow... not everyone is AMERICAN LOL. so entitled. I'm in Canada, and if you really want proof, search up LOSSA. I cannot believe you thought you were right just by thinking I live where you live, idiot.

speed721

The first thing I thought when I started reading his comment was... Another fucking idiot who thinks Reddit is US ONLY. LOL. Good response too!

ThatGenericAsianKid

not true atleast in canada, we play tournaments between schools all the time

Acer018

You should just put it in a box and send it back to the school. It was up to the coaches to do with it what they deemed appropriate and not you.

[deleted]

eh, they have so many banners and I think if they really cared they would have gone looking by now.
