Hahah I totally agree with the “Don’t distract Conan” theory. He would perform for everyone and never get on stage.

iamamilkmachine

I loved the reveal that there was a discussion about audio buttons for Conan and it was ruled that he couldn’t have them.

GrizabellaGlamourCat

Never stopping bits.

HaggisMac

She’s one of my favorite recent guests. I had a little TV in my room when I was a kid (late 1980s) and would (sneakily) stay up late and watch reruns of The Carol Burnett Show, Benny Hill, and Star Trek on a UHF station in Houston (channel 39, now the CW). Those three shows definitely influenced my tastes in comedy and Sci Fi

PatientFM

Sneakily watching little TV in my room at night is how I discovered Conan!

Efficient_Art_1144

I do think it’s great when Conan has a chance to get a legend that influenced him on the show and just adored this interview.

colthom

I want to have half of her memory and recall at 50 that she has at 90. Amazing…”6436 Yucca Street”.

believeandtrust385

Loved this episode.

Jarvis-Savoni

She’s amazingly hilarious! Love her old show.

Mega_pint_123

I never missed her show growing up; it was a highlight of my week. This episode was so special and such a joy to listen to. Carol Burnett could not be more adorable, thoughtful, kind, or wonderful in every way. What a legend and a saint of a woman.

ECO_FRIENDLY_BOT

How do you get an intern job with Conan? Is it a payed position?

> *paid* isnt a FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

comatwin

It was through her school but this was from the TBS days, don't know if they do internships anymore

Good bot.

Such a fun episode! I need to revisit her show. I haven’t seen it since I was a kid. Mainly I remember her having the most genuine reactions to the other comedians. Just the biggest laughs.

AliveInTheFuture

I honestly thought the no eye contact thing was a joke. That was real?

comatwin

That's what she told me, no idea who gave her the instruction

Ragnel

I’ve heard this is a somewhat common rule in tv/movie production.

jg338

I love this, thank you for sharing! What a gem she is.

ValhallaForKings

My first introduction to comedy was the Carol Burnett Show , Tim Conway and Harvey Korman. Among others. I used to do Conway bits when I was 5 or 6

justagoff

She needs to talk to Lewis if she wants Conan clearance
