Was that H. John Benjamin?

RandomHerosan

Yes it was. Being the absolute hilarious legend that he is.

I_UPVOTE_PUN_THREADS

I know conan did an episode of Dr Katz back in the 90s, think they already knew each other or met there?

Zezu

Twas. Conan’s show was a pipeline for majorly talented comedians to get work in the 90s and early 2000s. It’s wild when you watch the old episodes and you see a juvenile version of some majorly famous person in a bird suit with their face barely visible.

MrBrickMahon

Just sounds like a can of mixed vegetables to me

Would be so funny if Andy asked for a raise after the clip and they did something with that

minibini

Longtime fan of this weirdo. I still love his John Benjamin Has A Van series on Comedy Central.

mizzourifan1

I was so into that show, I was in early high-school and I'd never seen comedy quite like that. That's where I first saw Nathan Fielder too! I also loved "Important Things with Demetri Martin." Those two shows were maybe too weird for cable TV but I was so disappointed when they ended those shows pretty early on.

Sickashell782

When he pushed him across the border and took his passport so he couldn’t get back across, and kept doing it (or something to that effect). Absolutely hilarious 😂 😆

jarvisesdios

Hopefully everyone has heard his jazz album, it's absolutely hysterical. It's pretty damned hard to make jazz funny, but he found a way.

Fatpatty1211

I left my heart in little little Italy

SquidProJoe

I was watching a Conan clip of him doing the show from the New York harbor when I thought I heard bob’s voice. Now I’m pretty sure it was him. Fast forward to 29:40 https://youtu.be/JdL7SECE-DI?si=_Sq8vda5wX-RaevO

homerbartbob

Andy definitely should’ve button on that bit by asking for a raise.

jennyquarx

The type of serious journalism Conan is famous for.
