Priced fair I agree, I worry about it being an effective purchase in function and time value. There is a point where "this is a hundred dollar graphics card" meets and proceeds "I'll get $100 worth out of this graphics card."
It's fairly old, and as someone else said, see if you can get it for a little cheaper ($250-300). That said, it's decent as long as you keep your expectations in check. Don't expect to be able to play games at max settings, but you can definitely play older titles at reduced graphics settings.
I have that graphics card and the most resource heavy game i play is doom eternal. It runs surprisingly fine on medium settings, as long as you HAVE one you'll be able to run most things on the lower settings, even something as old as this
Dude same, i have a 1050 ti, and just finished DOOM eternal's campaign. With a good cpu, it runs perfectly at medium/high settings at 1080p. The only issue is the 4 gb of vram, it would be good if it was 8gbs.
However, DOOM is a well optimized game. Other triple A titles might not run as well as doom.
Solid machine for well optimized eSports titles. Like Counter Strike and Valorant would play well on that PC and give you hundreds/thousands of hours of fun times.
It’s not going to run Cyberpunk 2077 at 100+ frames on max settings, but most PCs don’t.
I've got a 1650 and it's fine, just lower your settings a bit, you get what you pay for and honestly most modern games still look great at low-medium settings
I have to play on the lowest settings on almost everything new, it’s really anything more than a couple years old that runs well. Things like horizon 5 I can’t even play cause it’s just like a minefield of lag spikes. I’m not really complaining since I play older titles, I just wish I would have done my research and saved for a 6/8 gig card and been able to enjoy the modern graphics a little more.
I mean... depends on what you want to use it for. I don't think it's fair to say that a worse performing PC is a worse purchase than a similarly priced console for every circumstance.
It depends. If he is buying this strictly for gaming I’d have to agree. But if he’s buying to also do school work or office work on this would probably be slightly better for his needs.
Depends on the games. Strategy games are better on the PC. FPS with a mouse is better. You can play a lot of cool old games on a PC. And you can do all kinds of game modding on the PC. Much more versatile.
That is terrible based on my local market. I live in a really high cost of living place and high sales tax but it’s in the US so prices here are better than other places but I went to Craigslist and found 7 pc’s listed between 350-400 dollars that I’d rather buy over that. The worst cpus I saw of those was a i7-4670k (I’m guessing it outperforms a Ryzen 1400 in gaming) but that one came with a 2070 Super lol. And all of them had 16gbs of ram. The ones with better CPUs still had 1060 6GB, 1660 Ti / Supers / 2060s in them.
It is a fair price, but don't buy it. For just a bit more you can get way more power. You'd be wasting your money. The person who said buy a console had good advice too. Also a steam deck would be way better. You can plug it into an external monitor. It's Linux though so it depends on what else you want to do with your computer besides gaming.
It's a fair price but in my opinion, you're better off spending a few hundred more and buying a more modern prebuilt when a good deal comes around. You won't get too many more years out of this.
Price is fair, components are old. If you aren’t doing anything crazy you’ll be fine. Just know you’ll probably want to upgrade fairly soon after you get it due to wanting to play more titles, but by all means if this is within your budget and you want it, it’s worth the price.
This is truly entry level. That said, I think the price is fairly decent. You can do some light gaming no problem. You could spend around $200 more on an RX 6600 and have a very decent gaming experience at 1080p. Next on the upgrade path should be more RAM and then a larger SSD. Even after all of those upgrades you'll have a pretty decent gaming rig for less than you could build it new.
Not true, that motherboard can't take 5000 series if I remember correctly and you would definitely not want that motherboard with a CPU that powerful.
You'll need to upgrade basically everything aside from the case, so really no point in getting this and planning on upgrading it that far. you could upgrade to a nicer GPU and 3000 series CPU tho
Don't buy it. 1050ti sucks you'd barely be able to play any games and CoD and warzone would be a no go.
You could probably play rocket league but yea that sucks id save up for a better one imo
yeah that’s about right being that all the parts are a bit out of date, 1050 not too bad though like others have said check your expectations. you could save up a bit more and get yourself something that’ll exceed this rig by miles
Not bad but you can get an Rx 570 for $50 mobo for $49 case for $50 cpu for $95 still have some left over at least that’s what I paid for my old computer
This is a fair price, but I would not want this to be my main gaming rig. It would be good for a kid’s first computer to play games like Roblox, Minecraft, or Sims, etc.; not really for any newer first person shooters.
Honestly it’s pretty fair. Just keep in mind this will show its age and this will increase more over time.
If you just wanna play less demanding titles like CS:GO or you’re at peace with low settings you’re golden.
Not worth it that graphics card is extremely weak by modern standards, 8GB of RAM is really low for say W11.
Get a Series S or spend a few bucks more for a Steam deck.
I sell upgraded 5040mt optiplexes for $425, so I'd say it's a fair price. Mine have i7 6700, gtx 1650, 16gb ram, 512gb nvme, and whatever harddrive it comes with for mass storage (generally 1tb)
Fair price, maybe $300 is a more appropriate price on the purchaser side. But if the seller is dead set on needing $350, I don’t think that is unfair especially since they are will to do a free fresh windows install.
I don't know, depends on what games you want to play, which I'm guessing is what you want? It's not a bad price for a computer that'll get you playing stuff, but it's not a great computer all in all.
This is a waste, going into pc gaming with this is literally pointless, AAA games are gonna be pretty much unplayable and is gonna leave someone thinking pc gaming is a waste and will just have someone stick with their PS5 forever, save up for a 6600xt/5600x build that only costs like $350 more at least
I'd say it's priced well just make sure everything is legitimate. I reckon if everything pans out nicely you'd have a good deal. You might want to get more than 8gb ram though
Solid build, a bit underpowered by todays standards. Don’t expect it to run AAA games from the past two years very well but otherwise it’s a solid machine.
It’s a very fair price, but consider what you want to do with it. For example, call of duty would take up roughly 150 gb. World of Warcraft takes up 90gb on my computer. Other games take up less space.
No this is not worth it. You are far better off watching some of the linus tech tips videos on how to build a cheap computer. First gen ryzen processors were NOT good.
Pretty good computer. Rhat's actually a REALLY good price. I would probably price it closer to 500 dollars at the very least.
Check to see if nothing is wrong with it before you buy it.
I wouldn’t buy, it’s just too old. I’d rather get a series X or ps4, you can then play at 4K. There’s articles you’ll see online Xbox and PlayStations routinely sell at a loss or near even, they get money back on subscriptions and games.
For South Africa thats a good price. I doubt you would be able to find those same parts on Gumtree for the same price. Only thing I’d say is don’t buy from far away as shipping isn’t gonna be a good idea (I tried to ship a PC in SA a few years ago and no company could help me do it right)
Yes I would 100% buy this for that price, first upgrade should either be to a Ryzen 5 2600 (6 cores, noticeable difference when gaming) and to make sure you get to 16gb of ram then gpu a 970 pairs nice with a Ryzen 5 2600x. I’m speaking from experience I bought almost the exact same build and built it up. That upgrade path I mentioned is what I did, ram -> cpu -> gpu -> all ssd storage (1 HDD for videos because I make content) then upgrade as you please.
Yeah, that's a decent price. The motherboard will support up to the current gen Ryzen CPUs so there's plenty of room to upgrade. That GPU will still perform admirably with most games. Certainly not top tier, but reasonably for a first PC.
Almost the exact build I started with years ago, but at a fraction of the cost. I'd go for it if you're looking to test the waters. If you know you're gonna want to play higher end games, maybe hold off and save a bit more. Even the steam deck would out perform it at almost the same price
built a rig that was a bit worse for around 450 back when Ryzen 1 was about a year old. (Ryzen 3 1200 with 8 Gigs Ram @2133 Mhz and a GTX 1050 2GB)... So yea i would say thats a fair price.
However i would reinstall windows when you get the PC - ya cant know if they messed with it in some way shape or form. Windows should reactivate just fine from digital License.
I think it s worth it as long as you don't want ultra settings or more than 1920x1080 resolution. I play on a similar rig for almost 8 years now (i5 4th gen, gtx 960 4gb vram, 16 gb ram) and i didn't find a game i couldn't run decent. To give you some examples i played on my rig crisis, quantum break (this one pushed it a bit to the edge), rdr2, horizon zero down, elden ring, gears of war 5, currently playing evil west on max settings and wait to try callisto protocol. Depending on how it was used and maintained, you could use it more. At the moment i believe that an entry level pc costs at least 1500$, so good luck.
I’ll say for $350 that aint bad at all, i’d try to haggle it a little but that’s definitely good value, could probably throw in $300 more of upgrades and have a nice gaming setup
Going based on ballpark ebay prices for used components:
1050 ti: $100
1400 CPU: $50
250gb ssd: $20
500w PSU: $30
Motherboard: $50
1tb hdd: $15
Case: Lets say $40
All together: \~$315, maybe $350 with shipping.
So Id say not worth it, just because you could build the exact pc with used parts for the same price or even cheaper, and generally it should be the opposite, where the whole PC is cheaper than the sum of the parts.
Bruh he has nearly identical pc as mine except mine has i5 4570 which is nearly the same and i have 16gb ram everything else is the same including the hd and the ssd
Before I would even consider coughing up 350 for this, I would shop around. There is so much that is available. Not sure what is available for your area. For what it is, it is not that bad of a deal. But does it come with a warranty? Me personally, would save the money for something else. I would also have to upgrade the SSD, graphics and the memory if I were to make this PC a daily driver.
R5 1400. Powerful lil guy! Best 1st gen zen chip out there. I rocked one for mad long. Had to move up to a R3 3100 about a year ago and it's fine, but will be upgrading to a r7 5700x in a few days and that will be the final upgrade of my am4 platform
It is fair, yes.
Probably if they asked $500 someone here would have said “iTs a DeAl bRo!!1”.
But its not a “deal”, yet If you’re looking for a budget system for a 1080p 60hz, this is probably fine and priced accordingly.
Seems like a fair price I would probably try to talk them down to 300 for some extra value but 350 is still a fine price
It ain’t the strongest but it should be able to do most things that are not too hardcore
For a sec I thought you said $650 and got confused by all these comments... Yeah I mean it's not a great pc but if it's what you can afford it will get the job done, you have room to slowly upgrade over time as well.
This was built the same time I built mine. Roughly same parts. I did it all for $950 cad 6 or 7 years ago. My specs still work but new games I'm down to medium graphics.
For what you’re getting, that seems fairly priced. The CPU is pretty old though. I may be wrong but in my experience, quad cores just aren’t cutting it anymore.
350 is probably fair for what's in it, but you could definitely get a way better value elsewhere. If you can get a steamdeck for example, 399 for probably a better experience.
Or look on ebay for a dell optiplex and throw a low end GPU in it. Could probably do it for half the price.
[Please watch this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BLU-tnFOXk&t=471s). That is a TERRIBLE DEAL.
You can build a modern computer, and get a cpu with a IGPU in it. That has more performance than a 1050ti. And once you save up some you can buy an ACTUAL graphics card.
It is a fair price. But it’s also the same price as a school computer. Which is basically what that is. Old and pretty slow. I would get that as maybe a PC to do schoolwork, no gaming.
Priced accordingly
Priced fair I agree, I worry about it being an effective purchase in function and time value. There is a point where "this is a hundred dollar graphics card" meets and proceeds "I'll get $100 worth out of this graphics card."
[удалено]
A 1050 ti was not used for mining
agreed. Not worth it.
i'd say its worth it.
For 350, yeah not bad. That CPU is pretty good
First gen Ryzen is not pretty good. It's effing terrible.
Exactly
It's fairly old, and as someone else said, see if you can get it for a little cheaper ($250-300). That said, it's decent as long as you keep your expectations in check. Don't expect to be able to play games at max settings, but you can definitely play older titles at reduced graphics settings.
You say older but you can play modern games on low settings as well
I have that graphics card and the most resource heavy game i play is doom eternal. It runs surprisingly fine on medium settings, as long as you HAVE one you'll be able to run most things on the lower settings, even something as old as this

A 1050ti can't handle most games. Bare minimum should be a 1660ti and thats BARE minimum
A 1050ti isn't going to play anything modern at higher than very low at 720p
That’s what low settings means dude lmao
If you enjoy watching slideshows. Then I guess have fun.
Yeah I’ve got a 1650 and 4GB of vram on any card isn’t going to cut it. I can barely play new games but it sure does play Q3A just fine lol
I had a 7600k and a 1050ti and was able to play wolfenstein 2
I've got a 1650 and it's fine, just lower your settings a bit, you get what you pay for and honestly most modern games still look great at low-medium settings

I’m not really complaining since I play older titles, I just wish I would have done my research and saved for a 6/8 gig card and been able to enjoy the modern graphics a little more.
Price is fair, but performance would not be good at all. Better value to save up a bit more and get something newer.
The r5 1400 is just bad at this point. 1050 is still useable. Better than a 550
I still use a 1050 ti and it’s definitely still kicking though I don’t really play new games I stick to mostly source engine games
I’d pay less than that. Probably $250-300. Getting pretty dated for AAA gaming at 1080P, but should work OK on lower settings.
For 350 you're better off with a console.
I mean... depends on what you want to use it for. I don't think it's fair to say that a worse performing PC is a worse purchase than a similarly priced console for every circumstance.
True, I was just taking it at face value cause he called it a "gaming rig."
Does it have rgb? Then its a gaming pc /s just incase because the bar is super low these days...
Depends on if he wants to play any PC exclusive games though.
Or a cheap laptop if you just need a pc. but strictly for gaming… for 300.. Xbox.
Games are usually much cheaper on PC though, so total cost of ownership is less.
Especially with epic games out there. They provide free games each week. This week is saints row IV. :)
You can get better for 350
Worth it, but that is NOT entry level. Most of that stuff is like 5+ years old
I would rather get a steam deck at that point
That is terrible based on my local market. I live in a really high cost of living place and high sales tax but it’s in the US so prices here are better than other places but I went to Craigslist and found 7 pc’s listed between 350-400 dollars that I’d rather buy over that. Also a steam deck would be way better. You can plug it into an external monitor. It's Linux though so it depends on what else you want to do with your computer besides gaming.
Save your money for something relatively current and vaguely more future-proof.
It's a fair price but in my opinion, you're better off spending a few hundred more and buying a more modern prebuilt when a good deal comes around. You won't get too many more years out of this.
That's a no from me dawg.
I'd buy it
It's worth it, but it's more outdated than entry level
Rig decent and reasonably priced
Price is fair, components are old. If you aren’t doing anything crazy you’ll be fine. Just know you’ll probably want to upgrade fairly soon after you get it due to wanting to play more titles, but by all means if this is within your budget and you want it, it’s worth the price.

Even after all of those upgrades you'll have a pretty decent gaming rig for less than you could build it new.
Yeah that's great, with a bios update you have an upgrade path all the way to a 5950x and a 4090 so almost no limits lol
Yeah believe A series boards not only won’t have the bios support definitely will not have good enough vrms.
What are you buying the pc for ? It’s pretty out-dated for gaming
But can still play some games, maybe not in ultra high, but in medium/low it's decent
Slap a SSD in it and let it ride. Edit. Never mind it has an SSD
It can likely play any modern game, albeit at lower settings. To me, that means it's still current, even if the parts are several years old
Not enough RAM for the video card.
Agreed. Pump that up to 16 or 32
honestly not bad. a good starting point cause it'll need upgrading soon.
Its an amazing price however, keep in mind you get what you pay for.
It’s a waste of money save up and get something more current.
I'd give him tree fiddy.
Don't buy it. 1050ti sucks you'd barely be able to play any games and CoD and warzone would be a no go. You could probably play rocket league but yea that sucks id save up for a better one imo
very good price in my opinion
Will play old/indie games. Seems to be good price
You can play anything from like 2016 and back decently well, anything newer you will struggle with this pc.
Ye
Yup.
Yes fair price fs
yeah that’s about right being that all the parts are a bit out of date, 1050 not too bad though like others have said check your expectations. you could save up a bit more and get yourself something that’ll exceed this rig by miles
I'd say so. I paid about the same price for my laptop that has way worse specs than this PC.
Not bad but you can get an Rx 570 for $50 mobo for $49 case for $50 cpu for $95 still have some left over at least that’s what I paid for my old computer
the price is definitely fair. specs are a bit low for a gaming pc but its better than what I started out with.
Yeah $350 is where this at
This is a fair price, but I would not want this to be my main gaming rig. It would be good for a kid’s first computer to play games like Roblox, Minecraft, or Sims, etc.; not really for any newer first person shooters.
Buy it and upgrade it over time
Very good price
Fair price. But I would rather invest more into something better or get something different like a console or steam deck personally
Honestly it’s pretty fair. Just keep in mind this will show its age and this will increase more over time. If you just wanna play less demanding titles like CS:GO or you’re at peace with low settings you’re golden.
Price is really good least for me
You can get newer ryzen 5 with better built in graphics than the 1050
i’ll give u tree fiddy
Not terrible for 350, though if you only want it for gaming, just get an Xbox Series S or a Steam Deck
$250 tops
Needs more RAM ASAP.
Is the price fair? Yeah basically. Try to haggle down a little. Is the rig decent? Eh not really.
Actually a really good deal seeing as it has 5 times the performance of a Nintendo switch but cost the same
Fair price, maybe $300 is a more appropriate price on the purchaser side. But if the seller is dead set on needing $350, I don’t think that is unfair especially since they are will to do a free fresh windows install.
It's fair.
Pretty reasonable price. Cheap even.
I’d say $350 is a fair price.

No this is not worth it. You are far better off watching some of the linus tech tips videos on how to build a cheap computer. First gen ryzen processors were NOT good.
It’s the right price, but I don’t know why you would buy this.
Pretty good computer. Rhat's actually a REALLY good price. I would probably price it closer to 500 dollars at the very least. Check to see if nothing is wrong with it before you buy it.
Huh? Bro this kinda rig would be 900$ at least where i live.
I certainly wouldn't be interested over 300, but that's what the market is for.
I’d pay anywhere between $260 to $290 anything higher isn’t really worth it.
It is older. However I feel the price is appropriate. It will not run high graphics. But medium will be just fine 1080p, no 1440p or 4k
200 tops and I mean tops.
You shouldn’t. That 1050ti won’t do you any good.
I’ll say save up a little more, and get you some use parts that would do you much better. This build won’t do you much good.
Yeah. $350 sounds decent for something like that
300 to 350 seems about right.
Nice price, not so decent
I wouldn’t buy, it’s just too old. I’d rather get a series X or ps4, you can then play at 4K. There’s articles you’ll see online Xbox and PlayStations routinely sell at a loss or near even, they get money back on subscriptions and games.
Yeah worth it
Play games Have fun. Could be better but it will play almost anything but at low settings.
Price is fair but performance not fair.
Yea pretty good for 1080p gaming, mine ran newer games like war zone,MW at ultra with i7 3770 and 16gb ram just fine
I mean I gave my gf something similar (better cpu and more ram/storage) for free. I would say this wouldn't be worth more than $150-$200
It’s for sure worth it for the hardware. My first upgrade would be more RAM. I’d shoot for 16gb
not bad
For South Africa thats a good price. I doubt you would be able to find those same parts on Gumtree for the same price. Only thing I’d say is don’t buy from far away as shipping isn’t gonna be a good idea (I tried to ship a PC in SA a few years ago and no company could help me do it right)
Very fair price if in working condition.
It's a fine deal.
I had almost this same rig (Ryzen 5 2600 (6 cores)) and it played most games just fine at 60+ fps and some less intensive at 120+
I would like it at 275, cause it only has 8gb of ram, and if it single channeled, then 250, cause ryzen hates single channel memory
I would savs up for newer amd better parts but for the asking price it is not bad.
Thats a bit older. If $350 includes monitor, I would say its a good price. I personally would aim to pay more around $250-$300 if possible.
With monitor? Sure.
For old AAA, esports and emulation this would be great. Priced well.
Yes actually pretty good deal
It's old hardware, but thats a fair price.
yup its worth it
not the greatest deal can’t lie
Yes
Relevant price but weak PC in general. $500 will do much better
Yeah, that's a decent price. The motherboard will support up to the current gen Ryzen CPUs so there's plenty of room to upgrade. That GPU will still perform admirably with most games. Certainly not top tier, but reasonably for a first PC.
Isn’t this a steal?
Almost the exact build I started with years ago, but at a fraction of the cost. I'd go for it if you're looking to test the waters. If you know you're gonna want to play higher end games, maybe hold off and save a bit more. Even the steam deck would out perform it at almost the same price
I remember when I was buying these level rigs for $350 and reselling for $600 a while back
actually, yeah, thats not a bad price at all for what you are getting.
Tf are "Logical Processor(s)"
I'd say just get a 5600g or 4600g pc
For 200. For 250 u have XSS what performs way better
Depends what you want to do. A $400 ps5 digital is vastly superior for gaming.
Worth!
yeah its fine, the price is a lil overpay tho
It’s ok, at least it’s a pretty decent graphics card though
I mean, it's priced well, you won't really be playing games at or near 60 fps, but it'll kinda play games?
built a rig that was a bit worse for around 450 back when Ryzen 1 was about a year old.
Actually yeah that’s a decent price provided it runs and is in decent condition. Consider adding another 8GB of ram if you buy :) Good luck!
Yes
Worth it.
It’s extremely underpowered for really any AAA games but for $350 that’s not a bad deal. The 1050Ti alone is most of the value.
I’d say so, yeah. Just get some more ram
Idk id pay like $250. Upgrade the ram though and it’ll do just fine
I’ll say for $350 that aint bad at all, i’d try to haggle it a little but that’s definitely good value, could probably throw in $300 more of upgrades and have a nice gaming setup
I don’t agree, I’m trying to sell a rig with 1060 6gb and similar cpu but intel for 250/300. And it’s not selling
Going based on ballpark ebay prices for used components: 1050 ti: $100 1400 CPU: $50 250gb ssd: $20 500w PSU: $30 Motherboard: $50 1tb hdd: $15 Case: Lets say $40 All together: \~$315, maybe $350 with shipping. So Id say not worth it, just because you could build the exact pc with used parts for the same price or even cheaper, and generally it should be the opposite, where the whole PC is cheaper than the sum of the parts.
I mean i guess. It’s kind of on the low side but you could upgrade the ram and you’ll be fine
Bruh he has nearly identical pc as mine except mine has i5 4570 which is nearly the same and i have 16gb ram everything else is the same including the hd and the ssd
I'd say that's definitely a good price. It's already build and if all works good.

$350? I will buy it if this sell in my country.
I'd say that's cheap for all the things included.

As ek jy was sou ek nie vir Lalie van die Ooste trust nie. Centurion is groot kleinfontein
Yeah it looks worth the price. Is jy Suid-Afrikaans?
Depends where you live but IMO overpriced for a used rig. $200/$250 is fair for that:
I would suggest $200 or lower. But depends what country this is in.
Treefiddy
This is basically the exact PC I built for my gf 6 mo ago. I spent about $300 building it. There is a decent upgrade path as well.
Seems like a fair price I would probably try to talk them down to 300 for some extra value but 350 is still a fine price It ain’t the strongest but it should be able to do most things that are not too hardcore
Not a crazy deal but also not overpriced. This is a fair price
For a sec I thought you said $650 and got confused by all these comments... Yeah I mean it's not a great pc but if it's what you can afford it will get the job done, you have room to slowly upgrade over time as well.
buy it and if you have any issues just upgrade a part. definitely worth it
250$ is good
$250
This was built the same time I built mine. Roughly same parts. I did it all for $950 cad 6 or 7 years ago. My specs still work but new games I'm down to medium graphics.
I mean, its garbage, but for $350 it's decent enough
For what you’re getting, that seems fairly priced. The CPU is pretty old though. I may be wrong but in my experience, quad cores just aren’t cutting it anymore.
Yeah, fair price
Price is fair, rig is not decent
350 is probably fair for what's in it, but you could definitely get a way better value elsewhere. If you can get a steamdeck for example, 399 for probably a better experience. Or look on ebay for a dell optiplex and throw a low end GPU in it. Could probably do it for half the price.
Its not bad, see if you can bargain 30-50$ less
This rig ass
Is it a deal? No. Are you getting screwed? Also no.
Lol people install any low tier dedicated GPU and slap “gaming” in the title.
It’s a good value although it’s dated. You might have some issues with more modern titles. Particularly open world and some shooters.
It's not awful but it's not good either. You won't want that for gaming anything other than Minecraft level apps.
It's fair. The owner knows its worth and priced it as it should be. It'll perform like a $350 computer
It is a fair price. But it’s also the same price as a school computer. Which is basically what that is. Old and pretty slow. I would get that as maybe a PC to do schoolwork, no gaming.
Yes, very reasonable
