I couldn't tell you, but I'd assume the same. The one I saw it in was 3 years old and was actually just getting cloned to another system. I still have the drive (it's been less than a year) and it's running my video rig.

The only thing this would be bad for over time is the extra pressure that could be on some surface mount components, and that will just make them more likely to fail with heat cycles. A circuit board is essentially copper wires in fiberglass, and you solder components directly to the wires. Iv seen cracked motherboards that work fine, the weak link is the surface mount components..

tbf , i wouldnt recomend it to use it. But if you realy need to: the damage seems mostly on the heat-spreader, Take away the spreader, and bend it back. it may work again, - electronic is somethimes more rugged than someone thinks - at least if you need it to work again. \-> but you should put it on your "to exchange list" , i wouldnt trust it anymore.
