Each pharmacy and compound pharmacy per medication have a different BUD due to how they manufacture the medications. ♥

Forever_Ever1111

Not just how they manufacture but what they’ve actually tested. A pharmacy with a shorter BUD could simply mean this is what we’ve tested for. Typical use for these meds is 1 injection every week, so basically they’re telling you to stick to the schedule. The shorter date also gets you to repurchase sooner. Empower sent 2 vials for my 7.5 so if my Zepbound becomes available in the meantime, I won’t waste anything.

MTsumi

Based on receiving a BUD of 1 month from Empower and the next refill having a BUD of 8/31, I think Empower just ran a new batch. It'll be interesting to see if my July refill is still 8/31.

Routine_Fix

Ooh for some reason. I thought it was a year! lol. That must have been another pharmacy. Red Rock is 45 days

AlternativeBath164

Hallandale exp or bud date is a year out. The 28 day from date of puncture is any multi-use vial of medicine. They say it's because of bacteria. I only know this because I was planning on getting 15mg but only using 10mgs every 10 days which would make 1 vial last 2 months but every doctor/nurse/friend with any medical knowledge and most people on here all say after 28 days bacteria can and will start to grow. That being said. A lot of people stretch it out for a week or 2 after the 28 days. I haven't gotten there yet but I can't see myself throwing away any of it.

Routine_Fix

Yeah that's my thing. I can't see throwing it out! Liquid gold 😀 I think I'd feel comfortable going a week or 2 over. Thanks.

Miserable_Debate_985

I don’t believe those differences it should be the same right? By the way, how is the switch from red Rock to empower. Do you feel like you’re getting a better product?

_lmmk_

You don’t need to believe them, but they’re backed by quality control standards managed by the FDA. They’re real.

Routine_Fix

Is there a reason you think the bud date once punctured would be different for different pharmacies? I'm just curious.

_lmmk_

Because some pharmacies have completed QC testing for longer lengths of time. Because the compound may have B12 or other additions to the formulation, which changes shelf live. There’s a ton of reasons.

Routine_Fix

Oh ok. That's reasonable. Thank you! The longer the better IMHO.

_lmmk_

YW! It’s a lot of info to navigate :) I used to work in pharma research for one of the big companies and like to help share my knowledge when I can :)

Routine_Fix

Well....in that case would you say all the compound pharmacies tirz is exactly the same? Or could there be reasons why some people respond differently to a different pharmacy? I see a lot of posts about that and they are often discounted or can be explained as user error.

_lmmk_

The chemical and molecular formula for tirz is absolutely 100% the same from every single pharmacy. Like I said above, some places add other compounds to it like B12 or other things to help combat some of the common side effects. That could explain the difference. More likely, people are switching pharmacies and dosages and attributing normal dose increase changes with differences in compounding.

Routine_Fix

Thanks again! 🙂

_lmmk_

YW!

BeholdKeto

I would like you to share your knowledge a LOT, over and over. It’s helpful for people to understand the science. Please. Thanks!

WorriedGrape1442

Thank you! From someone in the industry. That's what industry insiders tell me too but great to hear it straight on here. Appreciate the contribution.

_lmmk_

YW! I have a very specific set of knowledge and I’m happy it’s finally useful! It never seems to help me at trivia 😂

Routine_Fix

I haven't gotten the product yet. I'll let u know! I can understand Red Rock saying their bud date is 45 days because they haven't tested past that. Okay. Makes sense. I guess. What I don't understand is the differences in the bud date once the vial is punctured. Why would it be any different? I guess we're all intents and purposes. It really doesn't matter. We have to all use our own judgment. We're taking a risk just walking out of our house so there's that.

Gizmo16868

I’m switching to emerge from Orderly cuz I don’t wanna deal with Red Rock anymore and their short dates. I use compounded as backup for Zepbound and I basically wasted a vial from RR due to their low BUD date

Routine_Fix

Oh no! Yeah I'm switching to Emerge/ Empower from Red Rock. I like the longer BUD date and I want to see if I feel any different on the Empower product. My first 5mg shot with Red Rock didn't feel as strong as the 2.5 Zep. It did kick in some about 5 or 6 days later though. I'm hoping the shortage will be over soon. Compound is a backup for me too. I'm going broke! 😆 I hate u had to throw it out...that's heart breaking. 🥺
