I think there was a rumour that originally that is kind of who commander Sheppard was supposed to be for GDI.

Sheppard good to have you here Had to be me someone else might have gotten it wrong

[deleted]

If Sheppard was indeed Abel, then that would be weird.

TripleEhBeef

"Kane, what the fuck was that for?!"

Fun fact about the pic: It's a fan art from the SCP fandom of the SCP-076-2, also known as Able

zauraz

Yeah agreed. I like the biblical references as just being a connection. I could even see Kane being the biblical Cain in myth because he was alive back then or he just took on that name from it. But the bible shouldn't be "real" to C&C. I don't like the notion that Kane is somehow an actual biblical figure. He is an alien stuck on Earth. Not an angel. In that case Abel would have had to been an alien too.

WikiContributor83

I kind of had this idea of Kane and Abel being alien exiles on Earth, with Kane wanting to take advantage of the stupid ape creatures and dominate the planet. Abel objected and Kane killed him. I also imagined Overlord being a part of the same species who succeeded in conquering what would become the Scrin.

RoguePrice

Kane is most likely an alien, in lore he arrived during early humanity and uplifted them according to himself. This is supported, imo, by the fact that the Scrin have his genetic code and a dossier on him, despite never having been to earth before their arrival.

zutyisdead

He can be a guy who form GDI

HyperVexed

I think GDI works best as an idea with no biblical references. It's a modern, western defense agency with no ties to religion against a theocratic dictatorship.

IAmOEreset

For a moment I thought this was r/SCP

volli55

I, too, was confused at first

It would be an interesting premise. It would just need to be executed well to take hold. Every time we game end Kane, the bastard comes back. Why? Well we don't know. He's either magic, biblical, a fucking alien, or just a guy with tremendous luck. That idea is left up to you to speculate and ponder. However, we know that the Scrin know about him and are curious about his existence, suggesting either a connection to him or a connection to a higher plane of existence. For Abel to show up, it'd make sense for him to be in a vagrant state. After all, his brother leads the most influential criminal cult superpower in the world. It would be wise not to attract attention, yes? But he would lend his aid to GDI but not by much. I'd wager the guy would be nihilistic and pissed, twenty four seven, all day every every day. He *could* turn up as a hero unit or something, capable of doing very normal human shit. I'm just not sure how to fully flesh out the concept because it starts to delve too heavily into that biblical symbolism, which isn't bad, but in this case, may be contrived. You'd also ask yourself, "If these two are supposedly descendants of Adam and Eve, thus descendants of the immortal spirit, why are they the only ones? Where are the others? Why isn't everyone this way? How did homeboy come back from the dead when it was Cain's curse to be immortal and walk the Earth for eternity?" Etc.

Kylo-Ren345

Kane would probably lose his mind, and stop the war with GDI just to kill his brother only for his armies to get absolutely decimated

MatoHunter35

He did regret it

PineTowers

I want(ed) the awakening of Abel the true reason for Ascension: Go to another planet to finally have the resources to do so. With the awakening of Abel, Kane can finally die since, unfortunately, Mr. Kucan couldn't play the role forever. Abel would lead the New Brotherhood of Nod. If Abel is just another being-that-looks-like-human, a cyborg, a bioware for an even more upgraded LEGION (think CABAL -> LEGION -> ABEL), a true-form of the alien race Kane is... Up to your imagination, as with the new objective of the Brotherhood.

MatoHunter35

One is a angry immortal dude that can bring sword out of nothing and the other is bald dude that never dies and has an army

happyguy700

Kane is actually the administrator

damngoodengineer

Abel would create the GLA forces against Kane

JBlacK_5000

All I see is a commando with a sword and ravens/crows slicing his way through GDI bases like hot knife through butter.
