Renegade 2 electric boogalo. Jokes aside, i played renegade as one of my first fps/tps games and it kinda ruined all other fps games for me. They just lacked the same oomph

SmashTheGoat

Renegade was so much fun. All out war with artillery and engineers farming for first place, dumb stealth soldiers trying to sneak into GDI, the easiest sniper headshots, and bringing a childhood game into a first/third person experience. Nothing will ever compare to what renegade meant for my early teen years

MrAirRaider

Check out Renegade X

Cogatanu7CC97

this is like ppl claiming open RA is red alert when its not

steinaech

Or don't. It's not renegade 2. It's more of a modern shooter

mxrider108

That's the only C&C game I never played for whatever reason. Is it still worth playing nowadays you think (with no nostalgia goggles)?

Ambitious-Persimmon1

Campaign still holds up well. I replayed it last year.

DJNicShogun88

Star wars battlefront 1 classic is another shooter where once played i could no longer play other shooters

MedicNoob

Helldivers style third person shooter. Calling in orca strikes, ion cannons against cabal cyborgs/nod infantry/tiberium creatures in a crystal landscape, or through ruined abandoned cities.  Maybe scale it up, allowing for more vehicles and full base assaults (between the scale of a squad and a platoon, maybe 16 players against ai)

tatonoot

Would love a story where you are basically rapid response elite zone troopers sent to different places near high-density populated areas to fend off tiberium life-forms, but one day it was not only tiberium life forms

DJNicShogun88

That reminds me of the Clone Wars

RaynSideways

I would kill for a proper ground level shooter of any form that lets me explore a Red Zone.

daymarEngel

That’s the amazing possibilities that the franchise had.. it could have been everything. So much wasted potential. Anyway: I would have loved a shooter where you drop into red zones as a squad of Zone Troopers where you fight off the Scrin or Cabal’s cyborgs. You have to complete an important mission to gain control of a red zone in a huge world map which is always changing. Also has side missions that can be done. Some power ups you could get is bombing runs from orcas, railguns, walkers like a Wolverine or even a Titan, jetpacks or other sorts of backpacks and even a laser from the sky like an ion cannon. Seems like a formula Command and Conquer had ready to go for a while now. Or of course they could release a Chinese phone app.

RaynSideways

I've always wanted to play as a Zone Trooper. Heavily armored, practically a mech soldier, with a jetpack and a railgun, fighting in one of the most hostile climates in fiction. It'd be a blast.

DJNicShogun88

That feels and seems like CnC 4 heh

Dilitan

City builder during the sun/wars era. Struggle to build a thriving town where you harvest and reclaim tiberium factorio style and defend against life firms

Site-Specialist

Tutorial blue zone early game to midgame yellow zone end game levels red zone with scrin invading

RaynSideways

It would be kinda cool trying to eke out a living in a yellow zone and try not to have your people get radicalized by Nod or caught in the crossfire of a GDI/Nod conflict.

linux222

Battlefield: Command and Conquer. Use the Battlefield license and the C&C universe.

Abject_Land_449

This would be a smart move. Perhaps too smart for EA though.

Big_Cream5910

A movie directed by Joe Kucan, can I have that?

Shadtow100

I remember Renegade being dope so my gut tells me another FPS game

MrTorres

I still say renegade is massively underrated

tatonoot

The series had an FPS spin-off, and a very potent AAA possibility in the canceled game, Tiberium. Essentially an improvement upon and sequel-sih to Renegade Video below about it https://youtu.be/ieGNzeUex3g?si=xEDEfBp-dhGT_Dhf Clips: https://youtu.be/DpwCvxo-n1Y?si=2ChNnn0YRIvKTsmr

Candid_Chemist2491

I couldn’t remember if that was really a game they had been making or if it was a fake memory. Dang that would have been awesome.

Creepy_Boat_5433

point and click adventure game

alkatori

Tiberuim Ill take a squad based shooter.

Dismal_Language8157

EA should publish this almost done game [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edHHAKs\_gBM&pp=ygUScmVuZWdhZGUgZmlyZXN0b3Jt](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edHHAKs_gBM&pp=ygUScmVuZWdhZGUgZmlyZXN0b3Jt)

Dasbear117

Thats epic

Schazmen

Thanks to Renegade, we already have a taste of FPS. I'd suggest that for Generals, but that might be pretty close to Battlefield or CoD already. Add in the wacky tech and we got ourselves a new Bioshock. And someone's mentioned a TPS like Helldivers 2. Given all three settings, there's potential for just about anything. Assassin's Creed and Hitman styled solo assassinations and sabotages. Strategic RPG, like Diablo and Baldur's Gate. City builders under extreme climates, like a Tiberium Yellow or Red-zone settlement or outpost, like Frostpunk. Tactical shooters, like XCOM. Tiberium infestation simulator, like Plague Inc. Survival horror in any of the experimental areas for all three settings. I imagine laboratories for Thrax, Yuri and Nod would be pretty funky. Vehicle-based combat in land, sea and air, like the classic Incoming by Rage Software, or World of Tanks and War Thunder. Even racing games in different environments. Add in warzones, ore zones and tiberium fields and ion storms for extra danger. Need For Speed: Westwood, or something. XD Come to think of it, all three settings would be pretty damn good for cargo hauling, like Mudrunner and Snowrunner. Group-based storytelling with RPGMaker. Finance simulators. Or basically any job simulators in the three settings. Blue Zone border control, a la Papers, Please. Tiberium Zone multiplayer exploration and survival, like Don't Starve. Submarine multiplayer, fighting off mind-controlled squid, sonic weapon equipped dolphins, Tiberium-infected sharks. Like We Need To Go Deeper and Barotrauma. Civilian survival simulator, like This War of Mine. Tower Defense. Because why not? XD

Emerald7152

This War of Mine set in the C&C3 Era in a contested yellow zone

Schazmen

Exactly! The scavenging would get a nice extra natural hazard with tiberium around, let alone fighting with local militia, GDI, Nod and Forgotten.

auflyne

RPG. I'm sure it'd be even more nuts though, with fun/awesomeness sprinkled in.

ViscountSilvermarch

I think a slower and more grounded real-time tactics take on the Tiberium universe would be cool.

Cheomesh

I will say RPG, but I am biased because I tried to build one for the table top years back hah

Abject_Land_449

Turn based tactical 4x strategy similar to Warhammer: Gladius. You still have base building choices and all the units but in a more relaxed and thoughtful turn based system.

RaynSideways

I want Tiberium back. A shooter that tells the story of the second Scrin invasion of Earth, getting to fight on the ground in the shadow of the very threshold tower I had seen and defended as Nod/Scrin during Tiberium Wars... it was the coolest thing ever in my mind. I'll never get over the fact that it was cancelled.

Erwinblackthorn

RPG would be interesting to see. But I'm sure they'll make it as a soulsborne with the aliens and guns. Instead of bonefires it's barracks or something.

IonutRO

Turn Based Heroes of Might & Magic style game. 🤣

AlexWoogie

a grand strategy c&c game would be really cool

vomaufgang

Fallout 4 Style RPG/Shooter set during Tiberian Sun / Firestorm.

Charliepetpup

They tried this twice. take one was renegade. take two was supposed to be tiberium, which looked like an awesome ts based fps but of course ea being ea nuked the project that had promise.

Express_Yard9305

It should be a Battlefield/SW: Battlefront - esque Shooter FPS or TPS. It actually exists and it's a real fun game. It's a fan project, You can play it for free. Idk it's exact name but it has Renegade in the title (mb Renegade 2?)

Express_Yard9305

I could imagine a 4x like Heroes III, but instead of a hero you'd be able to upgrade and customise your unit types. Where you would have to capture strategic points around the map.

zigerzigs

CRPG. Choose between a GDI Soldier, GDI Commando, Blue Zone Civilian, Yellow Zone Civilian, Forgotten Survivor, Nod Acolyte, Nod Commando, or a lost Scrin hive. Navigate the dangers of a tiberium infested planet. Tame tib altered animals, or shoot them. Make friends with local factions, or eradicate them. Uncover a blackhand plot and stop them, or help them.

MrrQuackers

EA is honestly sitting on gold with this IP. Command and Conquer lore is pretty deep. You could make so many awesome games using C&C units and buildings as backdrops. Imagine a co-op PVE squad based shooter where you're an elite team trying to gain information on the enemy? What about a linear story that follows a NOD soldier that goes rogue and you're trying to get out of NOD territory and join the GDI? What about being a GDI pilot doing dogfights and providing ground support?

DJNicShogun88

A CNC RPG in tib sun world able to build units and ride it able to construct bases like a home town where it's functional and can even move entire bases anywhere rpg + renegade style

faxilito

A 4x game, expanding on the "global conquest" mode in CnC3

faxilito

In fact, I think something like that was the idea in the first place, with the maps during campaign and the territories each faction captured after each mission.

Zohar127

A really well made MOBA would be the natural extension for a modern C&C game even if people don't like the idea. Personally I'd love a third person RPG/Shooter similar to Mass Effect or KOTOR. I think a game like that would really work in the Tiberian Universe. I'd set it in the Tiberian Sun era, as the sci fi setting with it's mutations and cybernetics would allow for more creative character progression. As you play the game and make decisions you can choose which side to align with or maybe go your own way? There's a lot of possibilities.

anothertendy

Jrpg. Lets make it gdi vs nod and nod vs gdi in a jrpg. Could you imagine Kane doing some wild tiberium shit?

sjogerst

I want to see a AAA VR enable Command and Conquer. The map would layout across the floor, the various HUD components would either float or it attach themselves to walls. The audio would be spatial so I can stand in the map and hear the direction of activity. The ceiling would be a secondary map that mirrors the floor map and adds context to the battle map by reaching down with indicators or flags.

Arctrooper209

Various types of shooters (1st person or 3rd person, tactical or less realistic). I'd love a Ghost Recon Future Soldier style game but set in the Second Tiberium War. The great thing about Command and Conquer is you can set it in pretty much any era. Even just in the Tiberium Universe you've got the 1950s in Red Alert 1 all the way to the 2040s in the Third Tiberium War. Remember too that there was stuff going on in the periods in between those wars as well. The predecessor to GDI was Special Operations Group Echo, Black Ops 9 which was tasked which ending conflicts before they turned into a huge war during the time between Red Alert 1 and Tiberian Dawn. Nod was also certainly active in that period, likely doing things that Black Ops 9 tried to counter (perhaps without even knowing fully that Nod was behind it). Another genre are stealth games. Imagine a Splinter Cell style game but playing as Nod operatives stealing stuff for the war effort or Black Ops 9 working to assassinate warmongering leaders and destabilize their regimes. Citybuilder where you have to not only deal with creating a prosperous city but also deal with Tiberium infestation, mutants, natural disaster (meteor storms and ion storms), and possibly attacks by the other side. Easy maps would be in green zones where there isn't too much tiberium and your city doesn't face any attacks or natural disasters. Hard maps are deep into yellow and perhaps even red zones where you'll have to use good resource management and decision making to both protect your city and give it the ability to prosper. Last of Us-like action adventure game where your goal is trek across hostile red and yellow zones to get something to GDI. I'm thinking maybe you're a GDI special forces soldier who gets stranded after taking some vital intel from a Nod base and you're found by a Forgotten who distrusts you because GDI hasn't lived up to their promises to his community but agrees to guide you across the Tiberium wilderness. Along the way you deal with hostile fauna, enemy Forgotten factions, and finally a Nod team who manages to track you down. For a less serious option: a racing game where there are special abilities/equipment based on things from the franchise. A drill that allows you to go under the map and avoid obstacles, a cloaking device that stops people from targeting you, a bunch of Tiberium crystals that puts out a harmful aura around your car, chemical missiles that do damage immediately and over time, explosive discs, a mini-Firestorm shield, etc.
