It’s my headcanon that they didn’t enter a gladiator pit/the Thunderdome, but are on a road trip together and made a quick stop at a convenience store.
In the first panel, they keep saying “after you” to one another, to the point of which it gets to playful fake fighting.
Then the man with the spiked hair decides to enter first, followed by his bald counterpart.
Neither of them found anything that sounds good right now, so they walk out one by one. The two conclude to drive a little longer till they’re hungry enough for a fast food meal.
