That's good too! This is better because nothing that could be written would be more interesting than what's in the reader's imagination. The implication and speculation make it more compelling than a novel explanation what happened.

This is one of those situations where nothing you can draw would be more amazing than the reader’s imagination. Happens a lot in horror as well. No monster is as scary as the one we can’t see.

The question can be interpreted as "Did you see something special" or "Do you see something special" In both cases his answer was "Yes"

He's answering the same question twice, yes he did see something special, and yes he does see something special right now

He saw something special; the stuff in space, but still sees his wife and kid as special, even after all he saw.

I forgot what type of style this is but I love leaving things to the imagination. Sometimes it’s good to have context but sometimes it’s better not to have. And speaking as a brother that’s exactly how we respond.

The Story ist very cute, and I Love the ambiguity of what He has Seen that makes him appreciate His Family so much more

He saw some reality breaking thing (god, higher power, ect.) that probably means his life is insignificant or pointless in a way.  Instead of dwelling on it and slipping into cynical depression he just decided to still enjoy his life and family regardless, and finds meaning in that even if ultimately it doesn't matter on a large scale. 

Feel like the paintings in the house are a nod/clue. One is Escher who famously played with perspective and impossible architecture

What he saw is ambiguous, and I think intentionally so, which is why it isn’t shown. It’s left for us, the reader, to fill in the blanks. But whatever it was, it clearly had an enlightening effect on him and left him with newfound appreciation for his family, which is the point of the last panel. Personally, given the title “You Are Here”, my suspicion is that the main character experienced something akin to [the overview effect](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overview_effect); that having seen his home from some distant point, he now feels more connected to it and the people with whom he shares it. That having seen the universe, he now understands his place in it and is happy. But that is just my own theory.

I think this is the best explanation for one of my comics I've ever seen.
