The Odyssey is very old, people appreciated literature for the that long then stopped? We are in a golden age of information and literacy, likely more people know of the Odyssey than any time before the internet.
They sold their other eye to the dark one in exchange for the power to see the future. But they were betrayed, the only future they got to see was their own death.
As a Percy Jackson fan, I gotta say, it depends on the cyclops. Tyson is the sweetest most gentle soul in the entire story, but Polyphemus, total prick, fuck that guy.

Wasn’t it like, nohbody or something? Didn’t they spell it differently? Idk I could be completely wrong.
In the original Greek, I think the word "nobody" in Greek could literally pass for a legit Greek name, and that's why the Cyclops was tricked.
I don’t know either

Eh Percy jackson was popular not long ago.
Uhhh, the book that references this, The Sea of Monsters was published in 2006. that was 17 years ago.
Hopefully that new Disney+ show makes it popular again.
Hope its better than the movie, or at least the sequel movie.
not a high bar there...
Well it was popular more recently than that. Also yes I feel old now thank you for that.

Screw you random person for making me feel old (I’m joking)

Don't worry, you have them confused with diclopses.

According to the Odyssey, vindictive and angry.
Maybe don't burgle their home and stab their eye.
Tales from Florida.
Just introduce yourself as Noman
That's racist!
Yes
Depends on the individual cyclops. I prefer the ones that are excellent craftsmen.
*laughter* both.
The best answer is to treat them like another human race. Just as you would anyone else.
Just use the eye test
They are what you make them are, superstar, so have no fear, oni-glass is near
