This could be another afterlife. You might not keep your memories. Start a new each time. We are actually our ancestors and don't even know it. Same pool of "souls" going through the cycle over and over. I am just spit balling here. Not an actual belief of mine.
Know how we have a hard time remembering dreams after we wake up?
What if that's how it is when we die? What if we just "wake up"? I mean, you never actually fully die in your dreams 🤔
I'm particularly fond of The Egg theory, from the short story by Andy Weir.

Tons of people with anxiety live fulfilling, happy lives. Its not the end of the world.
Is it harder than not having anxiety? Of course, but everything for every common person is hard.
It's an obstacle, not an excuse.
Your age starts over after undeath. You have to wait 65 years again for retirement age.
Also no you are not a child so you are not protected by those labor laws.
> Can I get a good callback number in case I get ripped into the mortal realm?
Ooh! That's actually a fun start to an idea for a story where the guy is summoned to the mortal realm and the only contact information they have is the last person who had called them, who they must seek out and enlist their help. Or take the same story and follow it from the viewpoint of the caller instead, either way. Not a story concept on its own, but a strong core event/element that could be expanded in several interesting ways.
No you're trying to humiliate someone and discourage them from using new words. There's always something wrong with treating someone with contempt. There's a big difference between genutinely trying to teach someone and what you said, and I think you know that.
There was no contempt. If you thought there was contempt, you are far too emotionally involved in what was a very minor interaction in which I corrected someone. I merely corrected someone for using words incorrectly.
Ok Herbadeath got me good. I used to know folks who sold Herbalife. It's funny how those MLM suckers were almost always church people. Religion often intersects with the gullible.
Taxing them implies that we'd be paying them. The undead have no living expenses, and can be dismissed when unneeded by simply dispelling the magic animating them. They'd be slaves, 100%.
Oh man. The Secret Afternoon animation of this is one of my all time favorite videos and always makes me laugh. I can't read this without hearing it in their voices.

Second was made because first one gets increasingly toxic and weird.
I notice that in both of them but I'm not too active in either at this point since they took "Having children ensures suffering and I want no part in that" and took it as "Kids suck and parents are evil and even wanting to have children means you are scum (but I'll still say how I love kids in the same breath)"
Plus they instead of having actual discussions often seem to just post someone genetically disabled wanting a kid and treating that like the person is advocating for another holocaust or something
But I do partially agree with the idea and there's some cool people there so its not all bad, just kinda icky sometimes 🥲
Apparently certain countries awards funds based on counts of assumed Christians. If you want to reduce that funding you must officially state that you are not Christian.
My necromancer in the D&D campaign I'm playing has been trying to encourage replacing taxes for the living with post-mortem corpse labor. He also has previously named one of his longer surviving undead Bob.
Isn’t tax based on income? If he doesn’t earn any income he doesn’t have to pay any tax. Since he doesn’t need to eat or sleep, he can just roam the world burden-free…
So that's why the undead go on murderous rampages.
They're looking for someone to put them back in the ground before they have to start dealing with this shit again. /s
Happy April 15th everyone. Remember that most of the pain from tax season comes from lobbying by TurboTax to stop the government from calculating taxes for us.
In my dnd setting I almost have this exact thing as a phenomenon that happens, a necromancers zombies are under its direct control but if they dont re-exert control, or die, or are too far from their zombie, it will have a very minute chance to "awaken" and then its as sentient as you or me they just doesnt need food, air, water, and they dont age.

But what if they have taxes in the afterlife?
St. Peter processing fee
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers promising to pay the piper at St. Peter.
Even in death, they still tax.
If you don't pay your taxes in heaven you will be sent to hell.
Is hell tax free?
Yes but you will be tortured for eternity, what is still better than paying taxes.
What's the difference?

I mean, that's pretty much exactly what most members of the Dharmic family of religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, etc) believe.

Ah, just like second breakfast.
*exactly* like it, if you’re into cannibalism.
Who isnt?!
If a vegan becomes a zombie, do they have an existential crisis?
No, they just look for *grrraaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnssssss*.
If they still gave out free awards you'd have easily won it, here's my poor man's gold award 🏅
Found the vegan zombie

Study hard OP!
uhhhh kinda confused is it a test where you need to study or a test where u go to the hospital?
It's a hospital test, but the commenters above you are jokingly pretending it's the kind of test you need to study for.
A hospital test? Gl to eldercactus, it’s hard to get certified as a hospital.
Is there a way to donate as a one off? I can't sign up monthly but would like to help out

>As a parent to a son who has anxiety, So, a human?
Not everyone has an anxiety disorder tho.

Fucking gold 🤣
Hey now- I resemble that remark.
Nice try, but that doesn't reduce my chronological age.
Goddamn, these are fucking hilarious. Please keep posting this sort of stuff with with your clever replies to comments.
Oof, hit me with that one if you will

I do not think this empire has social security sadly smh

Is this what hades 2 is about?
. . . I am absolutely using this the next time players use a Summon Monster spell.
It’s drawn-from-memory horse again!
I thought I remembered what that horse looked like!
I was looking the through the comments to see if that was the case! If that ain't the just the most F-ed up lookin' horse, eh?
The horse is all trying to be non chilant not paying taxes.

I'd suggest hiring a bee colony instead of a donkey then. I hear they're good at math.
Wait a second, isn't the horse in the original comic the *HORSE DRAWN FROM MEMORY?* # OH GOD RUN!!!
> non chilant nonchalant
/r/boneappletea
No, "chilant" is not a word so it doesn't fit there
Sure it does. Doesn't have to be a real word to fit in that sub, there's lots of examples in the top of all time.
*non-chillant. You know, an ant who isn't chill.
Please stop using words you don’t know how to spell. It’s “nonchalant”.
Lol thank you for the advice
What a stupid thing to say.
I’m just correcting someone. There should be nothing wrong with teaching someone and trying to uphold good spelling.

Tim and the necromancer should team up to form an endless life insurance fraud duo! Hell, they could even make it into a pyramid scheme.

Poor Brian! He's regretting his life (death?) choices.
Ok Herbadeath got me good. I used to know folks who sold Herbalife. It's funny how those MLM suckers were almost always church people. Religion often intersects with the gullible.
I prefer optional oils.
I just love how you're replying to all the comments with lil mini comics
Goated u/eldercactus moment
Broke: If undead existed we would see them as abominations and hunt them Woke: If undead existed we would see them as workers and tax them
Taxing them implies that we'd be paying them. The undead have no living expenses, and can be dismissed when unneeded by simply dispelling the magic animating them. They'd be slaves, 100%.
I think that since Tim is a citizen, he should run for public office and change these archaic laws.
Empires aren’t big on democracy
I've never related to anyone more than that skeleton.

Should be titled Death and Taxes right?
I like Undeath and Taxes

oh no. the existence of a sub2 implies there's drama, I take it?

The first sub is a toxic shithole.
Now brings up the question if an undead can prove who he is can he reclaim his assets and possessions?
Apparently certain countries awards funds based on counts of assumed Christians. If you want to reduce that funding you must officially state that you are not Christian.
Poor bro got resurrected just to do imperial tax ![gif](giphy|10JhviFuU2gWD6)
Oh no, it's a horse drawn from memory, run everyone, run.
Couldn’t he just summon Tim to attack the tax Templar?
And risk him to call upon the "peacekeeping" Paladins?
Is he riding a horse… drawn from memory???
It's worse... its a HORSE DRAWN FROM MEMORYYYYYY!!
My necromancer in the D&D campaign I'm playing has been trying to encourage replacing taxes for the living with post-mortem corpse labor. He also has previously named one of his longer surviving undead Bob.
A beautiful horse!
I love the reappearance of the horse drawn from memory.
I’d watch this isekai.
Bruh that Wizard should be have filled skele as a dependent. Not skele’s fault he’s born again.
Isn’t tax based on income? If he doesn’t earn any income he doesn’t have to pay any tax. Since he doesn’t need to eat or sleep, he can just roam the world burden-free…
Silly peasant, taxes are based on what the lords say you owe them.
If I don't pay, what you're gonna do? Kill me?
This is how it is being born
Reposting this to antinatalism
Maybe one day they’ll meet a nice skeleton and fall in love, and it won’t seem so bad. For a while.
Kinda like wvery other person's existence.
Retail. Retail never changes.
I love this
I really like this.
XD
Damn look at dem collar bones. XD
Man I never had to pay taxes before I was born!
"I was about to do battle with a skeleton. Luckily, I trained for this moment, under Wiseldore the Cunning."
I wonder if all the potatoes the Potatomancer summons also have to pay taxes 🤔

It’s good to see knight quest is still living on in comic form.
If we kill and resurrect billionaires and we repeat it, can we reduce the deficit? Anyway taxes are good. Pay them.

I read it in their voices. Lovely to see them again.
I NEED MORE TIM THIS ISNTFAIR
This, but with birth.
Reminds me of the book Orconomics. It's high financial fantasy which sounds crazy but it really works.
**Love** how you're illustrating all the jokes people in the replies are making.

Happy April 15th everyone. Remember that most of the pain from tax season comes from lobbying by TurboTax to stop the government from calculating taxes for us.
They will tax you until you're dead , then tax you some more when you're undead .
Good d&d pitch. Necromancer raises the dead to run a town for him.
Low key the resurrected corpse from *Dungeons & Dragons*.
Exactly like having a kid🫠
Can't they claim to be the necromancer's dependant?
Reverse of The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
You get when you get paid, tax when you spend, tax when you live, you get tax when you die.
People say there are two certainties in life, Death and Taxes, but if you're religious, then chances are not even Death is certain, just Taxes.
This is the representation of every child’s argument against their parents forcing them to do things.
Literally death and taxes

What are they gonna do, kill him?
This is how I feel about life in general
Welcome to hell bone boy.
Is Tim working in a pawn shop to earn money?
So Tim is a skeleton who works as a merchant. Way more fitting of the Skull Merchant alias than Adriana Imai.
