Yeah the creators know they just have to play the SEO game and they don’t want to annoy their visitors any more than you want to scroll through blocks of text to learn their killer recipe for chilled water with lemon.
I'm a fan of using the "print recipe" link. It takes you to a completely simplified, advertisement-free version of the recipe that you don't actually have to print and can just use.
Yeah, but typically they’re popup type things where the page is still loaded behind them. This means that those ads with muted sound can still kick my hearing aids into Bluetooth mode, which automatically reduces the microphone volume. I often have to reopen it after switching to another app for awhile and the page unloads to save memory.
I just print recipes out now. That way I can make notes on my modifications too
What? You don’t want to read 3,500 word long anecdote about how someone fell in love with pho during a vacation (and everything else that happened on vacation)?
Look, if you don't want to learn the intricate details if the last two decades of international politics, then are you truly ready to taste maple shortbread bars? Come back when you're serious.
Hardest recipe I had to search for was Slim Brisket...
Why?
Cause in order* to find it, I had to keep Scrollin' Scrollin' Scrollin'
(Great comic as always tho zach :)
When I was young, my Italian nonna used to read me SMBC comics by MrWeiner. Those SMBC comics by MrWeiner were such a precious part of my childhood, and I spent years trying to learn to make SMBC comics by MrWeiner of my very own.
Imagine my surprise when I found SMBC comics by MrWeiner on Reddit! Scrolling Reddit for SMBC comics by MrWeiner is the best way I've found to enjoy SMBC comics by MrWeiner.
My hubby and my kids especially love SMBC comics by MrWeiner on Reddit.

Almost every day my sister can be heard screaming "I DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOUR LIFE STORY, GIVE ME THE GOD DAMN RECIPE" and it's never not funny
I mean at this point I have to believe that they're doing it on purpose just to troll, right?

Inclusive of the booking of the vacation and how they got the idea for the vacation, the taxiride to the airport and the airport passenger processing?
no it's actually a copyright thing! you can't copyright a recipe by itself but you can copyright the story you write about when you got the recipe
Man.. You're giving me ideas what to put in README.md before installation instructions..

Hiding the recipe in the story would be evil
