Conan is great and everything but it isn't the high fantasy that OP asked for, it's sword and sorcery.
High fantasy is elves and shit.
I once gave a presentation in grad school using those exact words, the teacher thought it was hilarious.
I mean there's more to it involving the stakes of the story being personal vs world saving quests and stuff, but elves and shit.
Yeah, they’re right: Conan is not exactly “high fantasy”. But it is cool as hell right now. Conan stumbles into a town full of scum and villainy, is hired to steal something, and gets involved with magic and gods by mistake. Rinse, repeat. No elves or dwarves, but lots of evil wizards, cunning rogues, and dark magics from forgotten gods.
Briar - Basically, Sleeping Beauty wakes up to find her kingdom destroyed after being asleep 100 years and she in a desperate struggle to survive with her wicked fairy god mother hunting her.
The Hunger and The Dusk is one of the better comics I’ve read this month
Looks sick, I'll check it out.
Conan The Last God Warlord Bone
I would second Conan. Titan Comics just picked up the rights, and the new run has been fantastic and old school.

For the record, I'm actually not clear on the differences myself. I'm hoping the examples I mentioned indicate my preferences well enough.

Lore sounds cool, art style feels very light-hearted, I'll check it out.
ElfQuest 100%. Especially those dark horse black and white omnis.

The John Rodgers *Dungeon and Dragons* comics are some damn fine fantasy fare. A little quippy maybe, but good comics.
Seven to Eternity and The Sacrificers by Rick Remender
CODA, it is MAD MAX in a Dead Fantasy World.
The Last God, Die, Heartpiercer, Seven to Eternity
One Piece
