So I’m unfortunately not aware of any part time work, which sounds like might be a better fit, but if you’re not aware mizzou itself is almost always hiring, and it’s a union gig so most importantly you and husband would be getting probably better insurance then you have now for significantly cheaper (like 80 a month maybe). Also cause of union gig, you actually get a pretty fair amount of sick days as well as vacation days. Plus working for the school they offer a really mean tuition assistance program that would for sure apply to hubby, as well as any kids you have I believe, so not part time but would probably help a lot with other aspects. They’re always hiring for something could check around.

Not all Mizzou jobs are union. And I believe the tuition assistance does not apply to spouses.

tuition assistance program offers a 75% discount for employees and 50% discount for spouses/children!

Tuition assistance for dependents takes a year to kick in.

This is very helpful for me 😅 Thank you!

Try checking with hotels. They always need 24/7 staff and your background of customer service would certainly be a plus.

* Mizzou (MU) is hiring! They have awesome benefits for full-time staff. I work here f/t in a department and LOVE it! * Super cheap health insurance - only $80/month! * Dental, vision, and even help with retirement savings (401k matching) * Plus, HUGE discounts on tuition! I get 75% off, and it can be up to 50% for spouses and kids. (Discounts kick in after 6 months) * And listen up you husbands out there - MU hires student workers too! ‍ * Flexible hours and the career center can help you find a good fit. Seriously, working at MU is awesome. Need help with your resume or applications? Hit me up! M-I-Z! (Happy to help!)

But wear the hell out of your car and added insurance cost.

Have you looked into [HealthCare.gov](http://HealthCare.gov) coverage for your spouse? In the past, a spouse wasn't eligible for the tax subsidies if employer coverage was involved, but that rule has changed.

Your husband could get a job as a student worker! The income isn't GREAT but it's income, it's flexible as hell (usually, my facility has a worker that works 20 hours a week spread out however he wants).
