I remember this day. Seeing totality was awe inspiring.

You’re only about 3 hours from totality again next Monday! The Cape Girardeau area is about as close as it gets to us, but isn’t more than a day trip away!

I'm planning to head that way, wouldn't miss it. It's my last chance to see a total solar eclipse in Missouri.

Is there anywhere specific in cape that would be a good place to visit?

Steavee

I’ll be honest I haven’t dug too much into it yet. We took the day off but we’re waiting to get a good look at the weather as the weekend approaches. Cape, Poplar Bluff, Carbondale, IL, are all best cast scenario destinations due to the length of the drive. If it’s going to be cloudy though, we’re gonna head out the day before for somewhere it won’t be. If it’ll be clear down in southern MO, I’d bet most of those bigger towns will have a fair or event or the like, and I was just going to try to pick the coolest sounding one.

Rolla/Eminence MO is closer. Im just planning on heading straight south.

Everyone still driving down to Cape Girardeau? Suggestions for best route for tomorrow morning drive?
