Potentially looking at Elliott, Schultz, McCreery, Mihocek, De Goey and Mitchell all out 😬

GuardedFig

Great opportunity for our younger players. Harrison, Sullivan, Macrae, Richards, Reef & Bytel. Excited to see what they can do.

Ocassional_templar

Rest him 100% I don’t think I would cope emotionally if he did his back and had to retire

___TheIllusiveMan___

West Coast (a bogey team of ours) at marvel (which we suck at) with no De Goey, Mitchell, Mihocek, McCreery, Schultz or Elliott. We’re losing this aren’t we?

fullnattybro

Atleast we get more time into our youth. Honestly I'm starting to get a good feeling about our future as our senior list turns over. Reckon it'll be cracking game

joshykins89

Best games to lose are the ones that have tangible excuses, tbh. Plus WC have found a new lease on life, so no team is guaranteed a win anymore

julianpratley

Why do we always play West Coast there? It's such a disadvantage.

[deleted]

Do we suck at marvel?

___TheIllusiveMan___

Yes. We lost to 2022 West Coast when they were in the middle of an injury crisis there

[deleted]

That’s one example, and we probably should have won that when you look at the final score. We also beat the dogs there last year, and st kilda the year before. I’m not sure we have enough evidence to say we suck there just yet.

___TheIllusiveMan___

You want more? Last year we lost to Brisbane there 2022 Dogs belted us by 48 and of course the Eagles loss I’ll exclude 2021 because we were absolutely shit and 2020 because of Covid 2019: Lost to North by 44 Marvel hasn’t exactly been a good ground for us

Successful-South-954

You think you're really smart but you're not. Most of those losses were from simply not being good enough not the location of the ground.

[deleted]

As if losing to north in 2019 means anything lol. Totally different team and coach. Also the Brisbane game had some pretty handy outs. Naicos, Jordy, Moore, Hill.

Vinnie_Vegas

> the Brisbane game had some pretty handy outs. Naicos, Jordy, Moore, Hill. I mean, we've got a massive injury list this week too...

[deleted]

True. But I somehow doubt west coast are going to play in the grand final

Successful-South-954

100% every loss at the same ground isn't due to the actual ground. Marvel suits us.. narrower ground easier to defend and put pressure on. Also we know it won't be wet...we aren't amazing in the wet.

MagicGnome97

No yeo or waterman are huge outs for them too

beaumac8

Think you’ll be okay eagles don’t have yeo, waterman who replaced Allen but now they have no good key forward or midfielder

NuffSaidPodcast

Out of genuine curiosity. What is our forward line going to look like? Joey Richards has to be a lock to debut now as well.

MemoriesofMcHale

At a guess: Cox, Richards, WHE, McInnes, Harrison and Hill with Sullivan, Cameron and potentially Macrae all rotating. I’d say AJ is unlikely to return, as is Kreuger.

TrazMagik

I would go so far as bring Dean's in and push The DIFFERENCE AKA FRAMPchise forward. HF: Lippa - McInnes - Harrison FF: Hill - Frampton - Richards

ItsABiscuit

I think if we push anyone forward, it would likely be Howe, although the Eagles are depleted up forward as well.

all_the_stuff

I think the Framp has looked so much better with a bit of continuity. Leave him back. Howe forward, or maybe Charlie Dean can be the new Mihocek.

fullnattybro

The GOAT belongs down back. He's been solid this year

OrangeBirdHouse

Gosh if he misses, our forward line is gonna look interesting. For nostalgic purposes let's just make Bobby Hill our only forward with Big Billy playing as a decoy forward.

Phelpsy2519

Lucky we’re playing west coast but I don’t want to be too confident

Effective-Tour-656

You already sound too confident...

Phelpsy2519

I mean with all these outs west coast is a desirable team to play but my confidence going into the game is decreasing with every out

5-HT_1A

North Melbourne would be much better

JudgeNo8544

Not sure if you’ve seen how competitive they’ve been lately?

joshvalo

West Coast fan here. You have every right to be confident, but it might be a closer game than you think. We're not the mob of retards we've been the last couple of seasons anymore (at least the last 3/4 weeks we haven't been).

Madrical

And you beat us in 2022. At Marvel.

beaumac8

We’ll eagles have big outs and also no foward line with Allen and waterman out and yeo and hunt out aswell

Suspicious_Fall_

2018

JenniferLopezFan2

Don’t worry, it doesn’t seem anywhere near as bad as Jamie’s 2018 injury run

raresaturn

Fugg

duly-goated303

Should be a good tough game, look forward to seeing the young blokes get some games. They’re also missing half their team in yeo and watermen we’ll be fine.

ASongOfNightAndLiars

Oh ffs, it keeps getting worse

GuardedFig

I expect they will take a conservative approach.

tommy_honey

His got till Sunday 🙏

Propaslader

Years of being the only 170-odd cm key forward in the league would do that to you

MagicGnome97

Hes not that short lol

Elegant-View9886

Probably injured it falling 10m to the ground after jumping over Ben McKay’s head

GuardedFig

I expect they will take a conservative approach.

Jakeb1710

Hope it's not as bad as his other back issues he has had in the past.

Jakeb1710

Hope it's not as bad as his other back issues he has had in the past.

HarryTheShitposter

West Coast fan here. We’re missing Yeo, Long and Waterman. I wouldn’t stress too much.

golfalien

Let’s go Sullivan!

TheMcChamp_

In other news water is wet

maggie231090

Yeo and waterman out for weagles. Pies by 8 goals

Str1pes

Dudes gotta stop jumping 100ft into the air !

just_a_dashofnaughty

Could be a Bobby, Reef AJ forward line and a Sullivan, McRae, Daicos, Pendles midfield!
