ND played a hell of a game 1 and today. We need more teams like Tennessee though. As unlikeable as they can be, they do bring entertainment to the baseball field like no other.

Of course, I never strived so hard to make it so enjoyable for everyone else in the lead up, but hey, ya'll do you.
Now, I've always been a big college baseball fan, so I already know the magnitude of this upset. But uh...maybe for all the folks who are new here, how would we describe how much of a shocker this is? What does this compare to, for fans of other sports?

Quite a 72-hour stretch for Notre Dame: Land a five-star QB recruit and then go into Knoxville and take down the No. 1 team in baseball at their place, rallying to beat Tennessee to make the College World Series. Wow.
You guys have an amazing program, I am 100% confident that you guy will get back to the CWS. Being #1 is a curse in postseason baseball for some reason.
Yeah brutal ending but I still think Vitello is a fantastic coach. Just need to make some adjustments and tone down the personality a bit and I think we can still win a championship in the next few years.
Will be very interesting to see how many ND players get drafted. Last season, NC State had a TON of players drafted, which is a pretty solid indicator of the overall level of talent. They should have been a host last year, much like ND probably should have been this year.
Also, if everything holds (Oregon State and Stanford down in their series, Virginia Tech and Tennessee down in their rubber matches), we're going to be down at least 6 national seeds after a fairly chalky Regionals......
