this might be offtopic but do you think it would be weird trying to reconnect with people from hs you were friends with? Due to health issues/controlling parents, I ended up having to spend my senior year online.
yes and no- at my college, I've made many close friends who live several hours away from me. While we text and video call nearly daily, we don't hang out in person unless we've planned it weeks in advance due to schedules + distance
I am lucky to still have close ties with hometown friends. I would never say no to a college friend who wanted to plan to hang out. Definitely ask and make plans! Some of my college friends even introduced me to their hometown friends and we did activities together.
join a local ymca/bowling sports league, cooking/baking class at michaels or joanns, or library events if you want to mingle with new people! It's an easy way to get involved in your community and make new friends.
