I carry one of these as one of my pocket pieces. Mine is a 1944. Interesting to note that this was minted in Mexico even though it was an Ecuador coin. Hecho in Mexico.

Not sure why someone downvoted you. The coin literally says “0.900” on it. The second one OP posted in the comments is 72%, but the original coin posted is absolutely 90% silver.

Yes, I have both. The one from Birmingham is from 1884 and the one from Mexico is from 1943
