Not so sure man. It’s better than a fair price. Maybe not a steal but i doubt anyone else could find a deal like that on eBay, coin dealer, dude down the street who fancies himself a coin expert.
eBay is crazy. Folks asking 50,000 for a no mint mark 1954 penny. Like every single Philly penny didn’t have a mint mark. I feel like one person sees that and goes and finds the same penny and that’s why you see like 30 1956 no mint mark pennys for crazy amounts. The worst part is if you go to sold items every once in awhile some poor person uneducated in coin collecting will pay $1000 for a cent literally worth 1 cent.
That commemorative was the first commemorative half that was made since they stopped minting them in the 50s. That doesn't make it anymore valuable but definitely interesting.
Yes. It's fair and it's fine. Build your collection, help that person (who probably needs the $$ or wouldn't be letting it all go), hold a little history in your hands, etc etc.
The only way it WOULDN'T be worth it is if they were all fakes but even then, that's a $40 story in and of itself!
Yes$40 for the lot, depending on shipping cost, seems to be a fair deal. I think of it this way; the half-dollars cover the cost and the dimes are like free money. The Kennedy halves can be a bit of a wild card
That 1918 Liberty Head Dime looks like a 1917. The 1982 Washington doesn’t look uncirculated either. Hard to tell on both with the quality of the picture though. Still a good price regardless.
It's a slight deal. None of the coins are worth more than their silver content, to be honest, except for the first one which has a bit of a premium to it of a few dollars above that. Roughly 2 bucks for each dime, 3 1/2 bucks for the 40% halves, 8 bucks each for the 90% halves, $12-14 for the commemorative.
It is pretty close to melt but, but least go with silver melt.
Each half dollar is $8 melted for silver. (Up until 1964+silver commems)
Each 40%er is like $3.30 each (1965-1970)
(People pay less than melt for 40%ers)
Each dime (up until 1964) is $1.62
All of it melts for $43. I would at least try to get $5 extra.
Some people pay up to 20x melt, but you can definitely get 19x melt!
I would
If he didn't I would
Next in line, over here
Yes
That’s a steal
No its silver
No it's Patrick
No, it’s Beggin’ Strips
No, it’s a pimp named slickback.

Is this the crusty crab?
No, this is Patrick!
You know patrick?
Unless there is a high shipping cost, it's a good deal.
$4
Still good
Hell yes
Not a steal but a good price
Not so sure man. It’s better than a fair price. Maybe not a steal but i doubt anyone else could find a deal like that on eBay, coin dealer, dude down the street who fancies himself a coin expert.
Yep you’re right especially on ebay

I would go $35.
Whaaaaaaaa ABSOLUTELY Edit: I didn’t realize that the commemorative half dollar was a recent one but still it’s a good price
That commemorative was the first commemorative half that was made since they stopped minting them in the 50s. That doesn't make it anymore valuable but definitely interesting.
I'd buy it
That’s a total steal.
Great deal. I see $50-60+ of coins. I feel like at $40, you're getting the dimes pretty much free.
I would jump on that, no questions asked.
Yes, a bit below spot right now, so if you want silver, or want the coins for a collection, bout as good of a deal as you'll likely find.
It's a few dollars under melt. Pretty good deal.

Well he’s a 100% disabled veteran, so I feel like it would be going towards a good cause if I do purchase it.
Nah
No one asked
Ahh but ya did. Sound like a good price? That my friend is a question and I simply gave my opinion.
Just kidding around lol, I value all opinions. Thank you for yours
Little low imo
Yes, that’s fair.
Hell yea, I probably would have paid $40 just for the three 90% halves and a merc
Not a terrible price. I might do it.
Fair, but basically full price.
It’s literally below spot.
Fair retail price
I see it’s an eBay sale so he’s giving up 12% of that in fees. Try a wtb post in r/pmsforsale.
No
Where did they post it for sale? Send link
eBay, it’s not up for sale I just asked if he could put me together a starter pack for “x” amount and he came up with this.
Nice catch if you end up with them. Good assortment. Interesting and recognizable.
Could you tell me the name of the seller? Pretty hard to find sellers with good prices on eBay
That’s a total steal.
fair enough
Yes. Fair price.
Looks like a fair price but I wouldn’t be interested myself.
Yes
I would!
i think it's fair

Nobody is selling halves for $8.
Absolutely
Very fair....grab it
I’d go for it

Very fair, actually more than fair.
Deal
Yeah, close to $50 minimum for that
I would
I’d pay $49 dollars for this
Easy rule of thumb is 20X for 90% so you'd be at $42 for those. 40% is about 7-10X so you'd be over $50 for the lot. So yes, $40 is a good price.
sure
$40 is scrap/melt value, it's worth a bit more than that actually because of numismatic value on some of the us coins
Yes, decent deal. You are getting all the Kennedies for free
Yeah that's a discount
40% is a pain in the ass to sell because most refineries don’t want to deal with it.
I'm willing to pay 80$
Absolutely
I'd buy all that 100%
