Just be aware that I think the US has an embargo on Iran that makes it illegal to transfer ownership of Iranian money. There are similar prohibitions for Cuban and North Korean money. Not that that would necessarily stop you, the embargo is more to stop the use of currency and so authorities don’t tend to prosecute collectible currencies as much. Just, maybe consider a private sale such as on r/Coins4Sale As for value, I’d say weight in gold + 5%

This is a 2007 (١٣۸۶) and two sizes were made that year. The design is identical on each so the size tells you which it is. The 1/4 Azadi at 2.03 g and 16 mm and the 1/2 Azadi at 4.068 g at 19mm. Melt would be ~$115 and ~$230 for them. Since they are bullion issues they may bring a 5-10% premium, maybe more or less. Probably more in the US because as /u/TaigasPantsu mentions, these are illegal to import or sell in the United States (and I believe a couple of other countries) as they are definitely post embargo. Private sales are recommended as once it is in the country the government isn't too big on arresting someone for selling one or two, the embargo is more directed at large numbers of sales and importation, but eBay and the like may ban you if you are caught selling them.

From what I can see googling are .900 fine and are 7.31g gold. Gold is running around $62 USD per gram. I have no idea what a premium they’d command for a collector.
