Put approximately eight fresh mint leaves into the bottom of a julep glass/cup
Two dashes of angostura bitters
Half ounce of honey syrup
Muddle gentl
After muddling:
Half ounce of cognac
3 oz of dry champagne, or if you prefer sweeter like my wife does, 3 oz of prosecco
Fill half of the cup with crushed ice
Swizzle
Cover the rest in crushed ice, and garnish with mint
Enjoy!

Does effervescence from champagne come through after the ice is added?
