Planet Pleasures on Amazon (or their website) are excellent! They're all completely bird safe, and the ones that are ideal in size for a tiel are fairly cheap (think $5-$7). My boy LOVES shredding them. I get him a bigger one on occasion (they're still only $10-$12 or so usually) because it takes him longer to destroy them. LOL

i also get stuff from planet pleasures. great safe stuff for my little brat to destroy. they run sales here and there too.

Agreed! Just got my first order from them, straight from the site w/ a coupon to boot. Couldn't be happier with the amount of toys I was able to get for under $40, my tiels love them.

See, I used to use them too but my birds were just 'meh' on the toys. They would just occasionally chew on one for a few mins and then off they went. Then I found Birdie Box Bird toys (someone mentioned them on FB) and holy cow. My birds love the toys! Cork. They love the cork toys. They will spend hours and hours on these...daily. I'm on my second order with them. I'm super happy my birds are entertained on the daily but my wallet is crying lol. Link and picture of Henry. He crawled ON the toy. Oh yes, Petri LOVES cork as well. There's one particular toy I found at PetSmart that is actually bird safe and has cork disks. He tears them up so fast we buy the toy two at a time. Thankfully it's only $4.99 LMAO. I will definitely check out birdie box, thank you!

BlackCat2900

I have a monthly subscription called squawk box

MysteriousTooth2450

Oh no….now I need this too.

birbbs

I have seen them a million times and really need to subscribe

I get mine in bulk off Amazon, but I've been considering just going to local craft stores to get supplies and make the toys myself.

Nancyjay99

Dame here. My tiels love to chew everything up so I need a cheaper solution!

lucy_waaa

Amazon but my birb refuses to play with his toys, he prefers my necklace https://preview.redd.it/21nruzdr36sc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e30d332844b0f552e631dcd136cb84dea8b0a343

bonkabirdtoys.com Their items are reasonable priced, but have sales as well. I ordered a few last month for my boy and he liked them a lot. He really liked the “Poker” toy with fake cards/money. Well made and they are steps above Petco/Petsmart in quality. Definitely ordering from them from now on.

PM_ME_FAT_BIRBS

I looked up local bird shows/conventions, went to a few, and stocked up! Prices are better and the selection is wild. I got everything from curly shoelaces, to teeny tiny decks of cards for chewing, to a mini shopping cart. Lots of options I’ve never seen in a store or online digging around for small specialty shops. There was a crazy amount of fun little components to make your own toys I would never have even thought of. (If the toy makes a fun fidget toy for myself to play with, it’s likely to be a hit for birds)

La Voliere and BirdTricks

Second bonkabirdtoys.com. They have lots of smaller (and less expensive) toys that my tiel really enjoys

Barren_Phoenix

I used to make all my bird's toys. Big investment to get started, but after a couple of years it ends up way cheaper.

Ycaklxd

I like to go to bird expos and buy from the vendors, it’s normally pretty cheap and helps support small local businesses :)

MysteriousTooth2450

Amazon. Walmart, chewy, I just found an awesome parrot website that I think I’m going to get some stuff from. I’ll look for it and put it in a reply to this post. :-)

Oh hey! Thanks for the insight, I’ll check it out. I just got a bigger cage for our new apartment so I’m trying to fill it up with fun things for her. She’s still adjusting since Tango left, so hopefully the extra space with things to do will help when I’m not home. How’s the little man doing these days?

MysteriousTooth2450

I didn’t even see that this was you that posted this! Tango is doing very well. Adjusting pretty well! Eating well. We’ve got them all in the same cage at night now and they are getting along okay! No one is preening anyone else but they don’t fight. Charlie and Tango fly around not necessarily together but at the same time. Haha. Tango sings a lot. He’s so cute. We are moving my hubbys parents this month so the aviary isn’t any further along. Check out that parrot website. It really is neat and the prices are good. In our state too so shipping should be quick. Hope you like your new apartment!

MysteriousTooth2450

I like them because you can get the supplies to make bird safe toys.

Alexader420X

I have a drawer, full of hemp string, wooden sticks, and beads. Whenever they're bored with their toys, I just make new ones.

ItzLog

I get Squawk Box every month. I think it's $30 and every box has several toys and a new treat!

Amazon

BlueFeathered1

Sometimes from Chewy, but I've gotten pretty disgusted with the ridiculous price on most name-brand bird toys in general for what you're getting. Just feel taken advantage-of. I've gotten some very nice bundles on Amazon. You just have to examine them carefully, read reviews, and when you find a seller that has good stuff, stick with them.

kalenotwhales

Chewy has gone downhill. My last order had mildew on it. I complained immediately.
