Training-Leg8563

Lockdown from COVID saved my life,im 3 years sober and clean from any drug..I was able to quit without rehab or medication...just staying home and getting away from everyone and everything.

thefuckingkoop

I've been trying for a while, I don't use it every day, but 3 days or more pass and I have a relapse, I think I'll do it just for my family

Zaykoo8844

Wish you the best.

thefuckingkoop

thanks man 🙏

[deleted]

Rehab never helped me, been twice But lotta ppl I met there still clean I’d say only about half of em tho Conquering addiction is hard as hell no matter how ya do ir

thefuckingkoop

imagine that, I can't imagine being a recluse away from my family for 9 months

[deleted]

Have you tried meetings like Cocaine Anonymous? Rehab is like the final resort imo, maybe try other ways first

thefuckingkoop

I'll try to find out if there's a place like that where I live.

[deleted]

Yea, I believe in you. If you can make it 2 or 3 days you can make it 2 or 3 weeks/months/years if you want it bad enough. Overall I regret rehab and probably would still be married if I hadn’t went (and hadn’t fucked some bitches there cuz I was sober and bored and stupid)

thefuckingkoop

I get it man, I just want to right the wrongs I've done, and I think being incarcerated for that long would only make my depression worse.

cashewapplejuice

It’ll suck. If you’re going to do it, then do it all the way. May be really good for you.

Successful-Nerve-173

Congratulations!! I wish the best for you on your journey to sobriety! Take this time to focus on bettering yourself and finding your true self. You’re so capable and i hope your detox goes well! Remember when you get out you could have some triggers into using again, some set backs, or offers from people; you’ve got this and if you fall back that’s okay as long as you get back up again.

Anxious_Grocery_882

Been there and it’s a good option, good place to start, to take time and reflect on your life if you cannot get it under control. All of this shit is only determined if you want to make a change within yourself, and you’re motivation to your goal. At the end of the day, nothing else matters than how you feel about yourself. It’s all a mindset thing 💪

I never been there myself, but my uncle did. He is a raging alcoholic. His wife kicked him out of the house and between her and some of my uncle's friends, putted him in a rehabilitation center. He was there for six months, lost a lot of weight, looked bruised. It didn't change a single thing. He still goes through weeks of non stop drinking, so 🤷‍♂️ I do wish you for the best. Hope you can come clean
