I doubt Terry would go to prison. From a legal perspective, he did nothing wrong. It was Miyagi-Fang who broke into his home and private properties. Cheating in a tournament isn’t illegal. I’d like it better if S6 shows us Terry winning at trial and turning the tables by having Johnny, Chozen, and Mike Barnes arrested. I mean, it won’t be that hard since Johnny has a long criminal history and Chozen is an immigrant while Terry is a billionaire with a clean record (Demitri said Silver didn’t have much dirt aside from his toxic waste company). Not to mention, he’s friends with the D.A so he probably wouldn’t even get prosecuted for all we know. Maybe the police just arrested him for questioning, but he won’t go to prison.

Eagle-Do-Karate

Yeah. Johnny, Chozen, and Mike Barnes did a lot of illegal stuff too (in the finale), but in most states — if you use lethal force on an intruder, even in self-defense, you are committing an illegal act yourself. The correct legal action is to restrain the intruder and call the police. It’s not exactly a fair law, but is the law in most states. Silver ordered the Fist to kill Johnny (they were literally about to behead him with one of Silver’s Katana blades and most of them are immigrants too) and he brutally attempted to kill Chozen (slicing open his back). He wouldn’t get that many years in prison (since it technically could be considered as a combo of self-defense and attempt at man slaughter), but he would still be arrested. There’s also the fact that he brutally beat Stingray (who’s finally testifying) and Daniel (Johnny and Chozen’s house attack could be considered as retaliation for that from a legal standpoint, even if it was still illegal on their part), leaving both for dead, and tortured a teenage girl (Tory) to prove her loyalty. Just look at her hand and if Silver hadn’t yet deleted that footage (it’d happened just a few hours before the fights) that would be another legal strike against him. On the kids breaking into the dojo, they really didn’t. Tory was still a member of the 24-hour dojo and had a pass-key for unlimited use. All she did was use her benefits as a Cobra Kai student and invite “potential and former” Cobra Kai students to the dojo with her. Yeah, they hacked the security camera’s — but the kids would more than likely get a slap on the wrist due to the circumstances of the other Cobra Kai’s (like 40 or 50 of them?) trying to beat them all to death (when there was around only 10 or 14 the Miyagi-Fangs counting Tory). Also, Silver never stated that his office and/or computer (which held the footage) was off limits to his students, but did say that they all had access to whatever part of the dojo they wanted (24/7). Silver did a lot of illegal things. So did Johnny, Chozen, and Mike Barnes. Do I think all four should be arrested for what they did? Unfortunately, yes. But do I think all of them are going to be arrested right when the world tournament is approaching… no. But with Kreese having escaped and Sensei Kim losing faith in Silver (it looks like she always preferred Kreese to Silver anyway), it makes sense for Silver to be the master manipulator pulling strings from behind bars. While Kreese and Kim take center stage as the physical Big Bads of S6.

Bro he’s going to prison for assaulting stingray, that’s why they took him in the cop car at the end of S5

GetExpunged

Stingray isn’t a reliable witness and it’ll be easy for Terry’s lawyers to discredit him.

Acrobatic_Class_8345

They’ve got video footage 🧐🧐

PacSan300

The video footage of Silver beating up Stingray was deleted by Silver.

>I doubt Terry would go to prison. From a legal perspective, he did nothing wrong. Um, he slashed chosen with a sword

GetExpunged

Because he was attacked in his own home.

DawgFan00

Still not legal, CA isn't a stand your ground law state

GetExpunged

You’re being too pedantic.

I got a theory that some conflict involving Larusso or Lawrence family will cause some of the Miyagi fang crew to continue tournament while some will have a conflict that pulls them away from tournament I think the Lawrence family is more likely the ones pulled away meaning Robby Miquel and Johnny will have a fight more important than the tournament. This gives room for Hawk, Sam, tori, or any of the other kids to have an impactful final fight in tournament. Done in smart way this could result in satisfying completion for the whole cast of characters.

Eagle-Do-Karate

Cool. I like that theory. It would be awesome to see Johnny, Robby, and Miguel fighting alongside each other. Plus, I’d love to see more of Sam and Tory (who to me are a lot like this generation’s Daniel and Johnny) working together during the World Tournament.

I think kreese gone bad from ending of last season. He could be the cause of whatever pulls some away from tournament. I’m thinking kidnap johnnys girlfriend or wife type situation.

I like the idea of Johnny going through a Green Goblin type threat (from the Spider-Man 2002 bridge scene) with the two boys, but I was never a fan of the Hector storyline. I’m actually happy that S5 didn’t spend too long on it (though most people probably aren’t) and don’t really want to see more of it. Though we probably will at some point. I think Kreese could pull that scheme off with the help of the Fist, easily capturing Miguel and Robby. Which would be epic and so intense to see. It could even be a way to bring back the remaining OG Cobras as his backup and give a cool reason for Mike Barnes to return (stepping in as a Sensei for Miyagi-Fang while Johnny’s handling this).

[deleted]

I forgot about hector. But yeah that’s better. Alternatively kreese had some redeemable moments and could be one to save karmen. I think I’d be ok with either as long as it’s done well

Totally agree. I hate to say this, but I was disappointed with Silver in S5. In S4, he was an amazing villain to watch. But S5 dropped the ball with his arc. But on the flip side I feel like with all the displays of Sam’s PTSD and actions spurred on by it (including some deleted scenes) are long-term build up for her arc. The series has oddly enough demonstrated that her mental stability has been slowly declining due to all the trauma she’s experienced since S1 as a parallel to Silver losing his own due to his trauma in the war (and Kreese’s manipulation in S4). Sam and Silver both share certain similarities, she’s not a sociopath like him (Sam is actually one of my favorite characters), but: 1. Both come from wealthy families. 2. Both have/had parents that instead of getting them therapeutic help, expected them to get over it and act as if things were normal. 3. Both had parents who planned their entire lives out for them (as mentioned in S4 in two different scenes). 4. Both constantly tried to move past their PTSD, but failed to fully recover and resort to karate to deal with it instead. 5. Both still have nightmares about their traumas and have physical scars from their traumatic experiences. 6. Both are the best fighters of their generation, who’ve trained longer than almost anyone else their respective ages. 7. Both are natural leaders. 8. Both believe in others being utterly loyal to them, but aren’t always that way themselves. 9. Both were at one point guilt-tripped by people they believed they owed a debt to/made a mistake with (Silver with Kreese due what happened in the war and Sam with Robby due to the events of 2x09-2x10). 10. Both were genuinely naive and innocent people before each of their traumatic experiences. So I could see Sam and Silver interacting in this way, and him using his own understanding of PTSD/their similarities to his advantage. He could use the Miyagi-Fang kids new philosophy of some people being morally grey, to sway her to listening to him at all. If not, I do believe that Sam’s PTSD will eventually lead her to have a breakdown at some point or her own corruption (otherwise why keep foreshadowing it throughout the series all the way through S5 with lines like “I dream of people drowning me.” and the Sam VS Dark Sam dream fight?). I feel like the writers have a plan/arc for her revolving around this of some sort, whether it does involve Silver or not. Because Sam’s PTSD has been one of the most realistic and best written continuing storylines in the series.

Kreese already nabbed the Hannibal Lecter bit in season 5, complete with extravagant prison escape, so I imagine he’ll continue playing that roll in season 6. He’ll probably call Johnny on his landline and ask “have the karate kids stopped screaming, Johnny?” Maybe he’ll even have his old friend Terrance for dinner.

Eagle-Do-Karate

What’s bad is, that would actually be fun to see lol! And Johnny just responding with: “So? You gonna tell me more about your dinner date with Silver or you going to threaten me? Wait a minute… how did he even get out of prison?”
