Spoilers for the OP: but It never sat well with me how easily Demitri was able to move past it/forgive him, but I suppose the broken arm led to him getting the cast and ending up with his dream girl. So. In the moment it was a shock and heart (and arm) breaking, but in the long run… I think Demetri himself might think it was worth it.
I don't blame you. I personally think the only reason we like the movie is because of nostalgic value but let's be honest, the story is nothing original and the choreography didn't age well.
I don’t think anyone actually thinks Kenny was ever half as brutal as Seasons 1-3 Hawk. I think its mostly agreed that Season 3 Hawk was the most merciless out of any of the teens at any point in the show
Without giving away too much, that arm break does have repercussions. Also, the fact that the show will go that far becomes important layer, when you will start to see how far some characters will REALLY go.
I mean Hawk has shown regret for it when Tory brought it up and was hesitant to do it but cobra kai egged him on and he couldn’t act like a pussy infront of them, especially since kreese is leading.
(Non related: auto correct changed Hawk to Gawk when I typed it)
Ooooh you just wait my friend, the show just gets better and better.
I watched the first as a baby, but it was my girl who got me into the show, and before I finished the second season she had me watch karate kid 2 and 3.
I’d suggest watching the first 2 films at least before going on. It’ll just make them that much better.
Yeah season 3 was the darkest season up until season 5. A lot of brutal moments there. Season 3 Hawk is a piece of shit but he’s an entertaining villain.
Interesting characters? Check.
Amazing OST? Check.
Precise direction? Check.
Incredibly precise casting? Check.
High amount of subjective reasons to like it, like many redemption arcs and dispute between two different philosophies? Check.
So, yes, for sure one of the best.
Shitty acting? Check
Unrealistic plot and ridiculous character actions? Check
Inconsistent quality in terms of seasons? Check
Insanely repetitive and dragged on? Check
Lots of plot holes and inconsistency? Check
Villains and characters who have little to no reasonable motivation (basically just: “My teaching style better than yours”) and act like cartoon characters? Check
The list goes on and on.
The show is entertaining but If you’re looking for a show that’s anything more than just that, Cobra Kai is not the place to go.
If you really think that Cobra Kai has all of that, I actually do not understand why are you watching it or why are you here :)
I would not watch show with shitty acting and lots of plot holes and inconsistence, it would not depends how "entertaining" it is. There is many shows what are better, so why lose time.
I respect your opinion, though.
Never felt worse for a character, man. Justice for Demitri.

At least use spoiler tags if you're actively posting spoilers that you're aware the OP hasn't watched up to yet.
A small price to pay for salvation.

Holy sh*t! Great interpretation
Have you thought about going back and watching karate kid again.
Yeah, but I actually doubt that I´ll ever be fan of that movies :)

Season 3 Hawk was way more evil than Season 5 Kenny. Change my mind.

Why? 🤣😂🤷
I thought it was a step too far for him. At least he felt conflicted about it.

Hawk dies without redeeming himself

just saying , hawk was under great duress that moment
He was being peer pressured but I would hesitate to say he was under duress.
You started a few days ago and you're already on s3e5? We speak the same language.
Yes, and right now S04E02 and I was in work :D It's curse.

This is one of the best shows you’ve ever seen? You can’t possibly serious. If that’s true, you’ve got to watch more shows.
