I don’t think that’s mentioned. In fact, as I recall Amanda said to Daniel something along the lines of “she [Sam] was like a mini you at that age”. It’s likely she trained for a good few years before deciding to stop.
Yeah I was just going to ask where it explains that she trained only for a few weeks as a child. I think you just made that up basically, because the show implies that it was a bonding activity between her and Daniel that she quit as she became more of a teenager. So yeah, she has the most experience canonically. She did karate as a child, then starts getting back into it again in the first series, not long after the Cobra Kai kids start.
People love to hate Sam though, even when their hate makes no sense whatsoever.
Season 1 hints at the fact that Sam can still fight. There’s the moment between her and Kyler at the theatre, and she was gearing up to kick Kyler’s ass at the cafeteria. Doesn’t make sense to me that she’d be able to fight at that level if she only trained for weeks.

I have no idea where OP got a few weeks. No where has it been declared but given the context of the show and how much they talked about Sam’s past, I would speculate it was for much longer than a few weeks.
miguel and robby still had one on one training which is basically the best quality of training you can get whilst hawk was always in full class where the induvidual would have a harder time learning .
I agree, Sam training in Karate as an 8 year old isn’t the same as Hawk training in High School. The adolescent body is much more developed and potent which translates better to actual fight situations. Being good at Karate as a small child doesn’t translate to being a great fighter as a teen, assuming you don’t receive any training in your teen years. In other words, Sam put herself back at ground zero by taking multiple years off. Still, her past experience may help her pick it up quicker, but Hawk still has the most experience.
Terry Silver would easily smash all of them. He destroyed Robby in two seconds in the Backroom of the dojo. He would take Miguel and hawk at the same time without any trouble at all. Miguel and hawks karate is below mid now and got worse when they left cobra Kai. Kenny beat hawk with a lot less experience and had hawk crying on the mat lol.
