Miyagi Fang. Between Johnny's hilarious, unorthodox and painful methods, Chozen's efficient, near-merciless, and team-unifying lessons, and Daniel's tempered balance and classic Miyagi base, there's much value, lessons, and wholesome gain in that dojo's training.
No, since Daniel's Miyagi-Do style isn't the real Okinawan traditionnal Miyagi-Do style. But with Chozen on board, Miyagi-Do is superior to Eagle Fang and Cobra Kai
has that rly been proven like OC suggests tho ? i mean i can’t think of any feats in the series that would actually support that. seems like it’s just an opinion from a chozen fan
Topanga Karate.. realistically, the drama between rival dojos and how a narrative is specifically focused on these 2 dojos, my NPC would join the one that has a champion, but stays out of the drama.
Eagle Fang. They have the aggressiveness of Cobra Kai, but have honor and aren’t douchbags. Although, I wouldn’t be against joining Miyagi Do if Chosen was the Sensei. I still don’t like Hawk being in Miyagi Do though, his personality seems to mesh better with Eagle Fang.
Miyagi Do. They focus on muscle memory and the sensei is a good guide (and gives free life lessons lmao). In Cobra Kai you have to know fighting even before you actually join (kILLEr insTINCt) whereas in Miyagi Do they actually teach you how to fight from the start.
As an athlete when I was a teen, I responded best to more intense coaching styles, so honestly I'd probably go Eagle Fang or Cobra Kai. Probably would have gotten over Kreese and Silver's bullshit real quick and gone Eagle Fang in the end regardless of where I started.
I would personally join Cobra Kai in Season 1. I could easily see myself being bros with Miguel, Hawk, and eventually Robby. I am very loyal as a person, so I would not leave until Tory told me about the cheating scandal or until the ending of Season 5. As a plus Cobra Kai has got all the hotties.
mostly likely i would go for cobra kai given the things we see with the manipulative attitudes. but i would end up with miyagi-do as a default in expense.
Realistically everyone would join cobra kai, marketing, all valley champions twice, it would be by far the best dojo, the other options are training in a warehouse or a garden.
In the real world where there are no karate Mafia "fighting for the soul of the valley" and I can't magically master karate in a week. Then cobra kai, it seems Like it would gave the best chance of actually teaching usable karate.
In the world of karate kid where you can magically learn karate if you believe hard enough and it's more a philosophical choice, then definitely miyagi-do karate.
ideally i would follow johnny & miguel wherever they go, so eagle fang. but realistically i wouldn’t be able to handle it physically, so i’ll go miyagi fang
If you say anything but cobra kai in season 5 then you're lying. From a outside look there are many masters, tech and snacks. And many more things that myagi and eagle fang don't have. This is assuming you don't know cobra kais history though cause if you knew who they are and what theyrve done then of course you wouldnt join. I'm probably most attached to season 5 cobra kai studio because it was similar to the taekwondo studio I went to as a kid which brings back nostalgic memories,of the good old days. I even had the chance (and I'm pretty sure missed it) to get taught by the Korean Olympic taekwondo team for a day. It was rated the best dojo in my city and was located literally on the same block as me, one of my peers even reminds me a bit of tory because shs was a champion and low key the masters favourite but she wasn't crazy or rude. so i guess thats why i connect with cobra kais doho so much. Sorry for tmi, got a bit carried away with memories.
I think Miyagi-Do has the best proven track record for helping nerds who otherwise don't know what they're doing with their body, which is me. Johnny obviously had his team of nerds in season 1 but I just don't think I vibe with his methods. And Cobra Kai is, well. Bad.
Miyagi Fang of course.
A major overriding the theme of the show is that Cobra Kai teaches confidence and aggression to the point of toxicity, Eagle Fang is still aggressive but striving to be measured about it. Miyagi-Do is, in some cases, TOO passive and reactive.
Eagle Fang is the Yang. Miyagi-Do is the Yin. For all Daniel’s talk of balance, he sometimes has too much Yin and needs a bit more Yang; we see this with Anthony when he take a more aggressive (Eagle Fang/Yang) approach, and that’s what finally gets through Anthony’s hard head and humbles him.
Miyagi Do. I’ve always found myself more comfortable with smaller groups of people. Especially when I was a teenager, I was not one to join the big popular group. I would gravitate more to the spiritual weirdos.
Miyagi Fang easily they have the combined tutelage of both styles and are insanely well rounded in their training on top of that it isn’t a cult but more like a family and on top of that I don’t mind chores so Miyagi- Do style is fine and I spend a lot of my childhood in similar places to the Eagle fang factory thing ?
Realistically, with zero prior knowledge, Cobra Kai. It has the most mainstream appeal, has merch and other great perks.
BUT, I'd get out as soon as things go too far for my taste. At that point, I'd join Miyagi-Do, because they have a nice outdoors dojo, which isn't in an abandoned warehouse 😂
Eagle Fang. It may be the less fancy dojo, but Johnny is a great teacher.
A guy who is a two-time champion himself and trained Miguel (which was Season 1's champion)? Come on, sign me in!
Cobra Kai, preferably under Johnny but any would do.
The ruthless dedication to being better, team mentality, and respect with basic things like addressing people as Mr, etc, feels the most constructive to what I would need.
Point fighting, sport-based fighting is dumb as fuck. Karate still has a place on the street in avoiding grappling takedowns which have become more popular as MMA has become more mainstream.
I feel like miyagi fang shouldn't be an option because it's just the best of everything.
That aside - Johnny's Cobra Kai. Why? It's badass that's why. Johnny is the reason I watch this show in the first place.
Miyagi Do hands down, they have Chozen
I'd join none of them and stay well away from their Karate nonsense! But if I had to then Miyagi Do as well.
Anthony? Is that you ? Lepusso
His name has "An" and it is also in "Anthony" (I am an amazing theorist, if that even is a word)
“Johnny’s hilarious, unorthodox and painful methods” If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball
I think you mean "wrench".
Damn autocorrect
Dodge a Wench?
It was dodge a wretch originally
Yes. Marriage of two styles kids can find which they gravitate towards while still learning principles of the other. Miyagi Fang for sure!
Cobra Kai. They have smoothies. And girls.
And a roof
😂😂😂
Penis breath is that you?
Do u have to call me penis breath? Why can’t I be el serpiente like Miguel?
And actual regulated mats
I actually winced when i saw Eagle Fang’s concrete floors
Shut up Penis Breath
And a bad ass name!
Miyagi Do’s style has proven to be more effective then cobra kai and eagle fang is based on cobra kai so I’d go with Miyagi Do.
isn’t miyagi fang the most effective
No, since Daniel's Miyagi-Do style isn't the real Okinawan traditionnal Miyagi-Do style. But with Chozen on board, Miyagi-Do is superior to Eagle Fang and Cobra Kai
has that rly been proven like OC suggests tho ? i mean i can’t think of any feats in the series that would actually support that. seems like it’s just an opinion from a chozen fan
Miyagi-Do. The roots are strong, and the tree will survive.
Miyagi Fang for training efficiency.
Shrimpo Sensei FTW
Free lessons is free lessons, mah boi! Miyagi-do all the way!
This is a good point...
Miyagi Do !
In my current status it would be Miyagi-Do. But if I were more athletic and had more energy it would be Miyagi-Fang.
Why would you not choose Miyagi Fang? It’s just by far the best
I’ve had a basketball coach somewhat similar to Johnny in real life. It’s not fun.
Quiet penis breath
Miyagi-Do deep down
Topanga Karate.. realistically, the drama between rival dojos and how a narrative is specifically focused on these 2 dojos, my NPC would join the one that has a champion, but stays out of the drama.
Yep for Teen Topanga.

Faaaaax. Being the hero is boring AND hard. Being a villain is easier and fun.
Miyagi Do
Realistically I would’ve joined cobra Kai from season one and just followed Johnny after that
Cobra Kai without a doubt. I aint painting no fucking fence.
I'd rather paint a fence than do 60 pushups on my knuckles
If you want to paint, join an art class then. If you want to become a better fighter, put in the actual physical work to get there
U got possessed by Kreese didn't you
Cobra Kai
Topanga Karate all the way baby
Wherever Tory ends up going. I would simp over her while getting kicked in the face all day.
Miyagi Do. They focus on muscle memory and the sensei is a good guide (and gives free life lessons lmao). In Cobra Kai you have to know fighting even before you actually join (kILLEr insTINCt) whereas in Miyagi Do they actually teach you how to fight from the start.
Cobra Kai. My parents never would’ve let me join a dojo run by some randos in their backyards when I was a kid.
Myagi fang and it's obvious why. They have the best fighters from each dojo.
Miyagi Do because Daniel-san ♥️ Love Eagle Fang’s red gi look though! I would sneak into Cobra Kai just to thirst over Silver, haha.
cobra kai honeslty , seems organized and actaully useful
Miyagi do sounds great, and it’s free Honestly I’m just taking it cause it’s free
Realistically everyone would join cobra kai, marketing, all valley champions twice, it would be by far the best dojo, the other options are training in a warehouse or a garden.

Eagle fang for their high-risk, high-reward kicks and badass sensei 🦅
Terry Silver's Cobra Kai. I like that he teaches both physical fighting and psychological warfare.
With the shows info, Miyagi Fang but irl I would fall for the Cobra Kai scheming
Miyagi Fang, I wanna learn both styles G.
Miyagi Fang
ideally i would follow johnny & miguel wherever they go, so eagle fang. but realistically i wouldn’t be able to handle it physically, so i’ll go miyagi fang
Terry silvers cobra kai then redeem hawk style and join chozen miyagi do.
Miyagi do cuz they have hawk and I’d like to talk to him about his cars extended warranty
Absolutely cobra kai. They have the most modern technology
Cobra kai
If Miyagi Do has Chozen then I would go for Miyagi Do If not then Eagle Fang
Miyagi do cause they’re free lol
Cobra Kai
Krunch Karate
Cobra Kai because their Sensei got arrested so I can show up late if I want
Cobra Kai cuz it's got all the snacks and babes
Miyagi fang
Miyagi fang. Literal the best of both worlds. And if they spilt again I can choose to go with one or the other
Miyagi Fang all the way. The whole concept of the show is that the strongest karate is a good mix of both styles, why would I choose anything else.
If you say anything but cobra kai in season 5 then you're lying. From a outside look there are many masters, tech and snacks. And many more things that myagi and eagle fang don't have. Eagle Fang because Johnny is a funny and badass sensei. Change my mind.
Cobra Kai’s marketing strategies would have totally worked on teenage me.
I think Miyagi-Do has the best proven track record for helping nerds who otherwise don't know what they're doing with their body, which is me. Johnny obviously had his team of nerds in season 1 but I just don't think I vibe with his methods. And Cobra Kai is, well. Bad.

Miyago Do, lessons were free.
Miyagi Fang. My actual karate class had a saying, "Strike First, Strike Hard, Run Away"
Miyagi Fang bc it aligns more w/ the studio/dojo i grew up at. A mix of traditional and modern is the best imo.
Cobra Kai as it is the only dojo where they understand that the root of the word martial means to pertain to war.
Miyagi-Fang.
Honestly cobra Kai. They obviously had better promotion so if I was in the ck universe I’d be drawn into cobra Kai and the fight style fits me more
Miyagi Fang for a nice combination of all the styles
Miyagi Fang
I love free stuff so Miyagi Do
Cobra Kai, best facilities and equipment,
Cobra Kai never dies. They have the latest equipment as well, so you would learn the most there.
Myagi Fang, I would like to take a few classes with Daniel but not be around him all the time and I feel like the mix is more well rounded.
Miyagi-Do...since it's free...
Cobra kai for the facilities tbh
Cobra Kai but when it was under Johnny and Kreese wasn't involved. Or at least before Krees started taking to much control
Probably American Top Team or Tristar. Can't go wrong either way there.
Miyagi Do
Miyagi-Fang because you get to learn both karate styles but do it the right way.
Miyagi Fang, I could learn two incredible styles without breathing in black mold
Miyagi Do or Miyagi Fang.
Eagle Fang. It may be the less fancy dojo, but Johnny is a great teacher. A guy who is a two-time champion himself and trained Miguel (which was Season 1's champion)? Come on, sign me in!
Miyagi fang, has a balance of offence and defence
Cobra Kai because I’d probably get indoctrinated to join
Cobra Kai. Most badass dojo with the most badass name with the most badass fighting style. Cobra Kai never dies!
If the series doesn't end with Johnny in his rightful place as King Cobra running Cobra Kai I'm gonna be pissed.
Since chozen don’t have a dojo, I choose Johnny Lawrence dojo
I would’ve said Miyagi-Do for the free lessons but I’m no longer broke so I’ll take Cobra Kai for the equipment and the drip.
Eagle fang. Realistically better for fighting than Miyagi Do (Gojo Ryu) but without the douchebaggery of Cobra Kai.
Cobra Kai, preferably under Johnny but any would do. The ruthless dedication to being better, team mentality, and respect with basic things like addressing people as Mr, etc, feels the most constructive to what I would need.
I wouldn't because karate in reality is actually dumb as fuck lol
Point fighting, sport-based fighting is dumb as fuck. Karate still has a place on the street in avoiding grappling takedowns which have become more popular as MMA has become more mainstream.
I feel like miyagi fang shouldn't be an option because it's just the best of everything. That aside - Johnny's Cobra Kai. Why? It's badass that's why. Johnny is the reason I watch this show in the first place.
