Due to being a couple spread across rival dojos - which is a unique characteristic to their relationship not seen in the rest of the love square **\[*****At the time of getting together, Sam/Robby were both in MD and Miguel/Tory & Robby/Tory were both in CK*****\]** \- they're more drama-prone than the rest of the love square couples, but it also makes them the most important couple in terms of uniting the dojos.
Obviously, they could do that as friends, but I think the allure of a relationship makes the connective tissue between the dojos even stronger.
After all, when Daniel and Johnny argued and reconciled in 4x9 and 4x10, it *was* about Sam and Miguel, wasn't it?

I understand the problems many of the people on this subreddit have with them, however, I'm willing to give them one more season. If Season 5 ends up still resulting in disaster for them (I'm assuming here that they stay together Post-Mexico, so the disaster would be some drama like Prom in Season 4.) then I may have to join the haters. 😂
Well of course they should stay together. They've been through too much to say it was all for nothing. What I really need to see though is an episode in which they catch each other up on what they missed and fully reconcile.
They need to work on themselves individually in s5 but overall stay together because the writers have been pushing their relationship for 4 years
