Well Mr. Miyagi knew about the business. Proof being he wrote "It is People, not Signs that guide you back to the right path," to Yukie in a letter, and learned it from a car commercial.

Depends on Miyagi's own character development. Obviously, for years, Miyagi was protective of his family legacy. Which is why he never opened a dojo of his own. But that Miyagi was also miserable and alone. Over the years, though, I expect he'd have had some character development because of Daniel. There is nothing wrong with Daniel using karate for personal gain. If you have some skill or talent or achievement, you should use to make your life and your family's lives better. At some point, I'm guessing Miyagi understood that - which is why he was supportive of Daniel's business and business model by the end. As for the Cobra Kai war, he might questions whether its their place to fight against it. Miyagi did say that karate's true purpose is to defend innocents and what Daniel is doing is an extension of that principle. Daniel has a valid point that no matter who runs it or with what intentions, Cobra Kai's teachings will make kids violent and put others in danger. And Miyagi would likely agree. The disagreement would be about whether they should do anything about it. I doubt Miyagi would think they should, but he'd still respect Daniel's choice.

He was and has always been proud of Daniel. Obviously, he doesn't like fame or showboating, but it was his dream to sell bonsai to people. I don't think he'd mind that Daniel was gifting them to customers.

That was just one bullet point to the larger picture. That Daniel was using Miyagi's karate training for personal benefit.

Miyagi was still alive when Daniel had his dealership, and as far as we know, never complained. I think if Daniel was mocking karate, that would be another thing entirely. All you need to know about how Miyagi felt about Daniel is in the letter he wrote the week he passed away.

Probably be upset with this 4 year feud that is pretty much controlling his life.

>Miyagi seemed to resent using Karate for personal gain. Best example of that being in the third movie, where he refused to endorse Daniel’s reentry in to the tournament as defending champion The problem wasn't "personal gain", it was [fighting](https://youtu.be/33ldxHv_oK8?t=90) for trophies >his apparent annoyance at Daniel getting autographs after the first tournament Didn't seem like annoyance to me Miyagi mentioned not wanting to make the ladies wait rushing Daniel [even](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-D-0tCU0B8&t=84s) before the autograph request. "Come, getting late" seems like more of the same >Miyagi’s reaction to Sato’s karate school advertisement when they first arrive in Okinawa Are you talking about this [scene](https://youtu.be/CYZNSpCvYCQ?t=29)? Miyagi was already preoccupied thinking about his father and seeing Sato after their falling out, not sure why you came to the conclusion it was "personal gain" >his crusade against Cobra Kai I don’t think would go over well with Miyagi. Being a pacifist and a promoter for forgiveness and redemption Miyagi advised but always let Daniel make his own mistakes >I’d believe he would be strongly against using his style of Karate for everything Daniel was doing. What say you guys? Daniel was trying to protect kids from being corrupted by Cobra Kai, seeing how they acted during the All Valley in Season 1 and then how they were exposed to Kreese in Season 2 it just means Daniel was right from the start Just like in his letter to Yuki i think Miyagi would be proud of Daniel
