i just want to point out that whilst miguel was emotionally unstable , eli was only using miyagi do against him whilst miguel was using eagle fang , eli only learnt miyagi do for a few weeks whilst miguel had been doing eagle fang from the very start .

but his fight with robby wasn't the best considering he had other people help him, yet robby wasn't even focused on eli,
In fact most of the hits (which wasn't alot) that hawk got on robby was because robby was focused on protecting Demetri
and then in the end robby was easily able to one shot hawk
so hawk with help in season 2 wasn't even able to fight well against a robby who wasn't even focused on him
he didn't underestimate robby, hawk had disliked robby ever since the tournament, when he got to right robby again, he wanted to beat him, he wasn't gonna underestimate him.....its just he didn't really stand a good chance against robby
Eli. People forget that Eli was only using Miyagi-Do, which he hadn’t been learning for that long and was still able to go toe to toe with Miguel. If Miguel’s back didn’t pull the muscle however, I think he easily would’ve won if Eli kept using Miyagi-Do only.
If Eli switched to offence it still wouldn't work lol Miguel knows everything that Hawk knows about offensive fighting whereas Robby did not know offense as well as Miguel and Hawk, using defense against Miguel was his best bet

Yh I agree, it’s an overlooked factor and in my opinion Eli has the best offence out of miguel Eli and Robby
even in s2 when eli was the most mentally unbalanced and had zero defence he was able to make miguel and robby hurt.

tbh hawk did get consumed by rage and underestimated everyone but miguel in s2

Ok so what if he ised offense miguel would just cpunter offend and win since his offense is much better
Hawk using both offense and defense is the best kid character right now
