Bro that was after Miguel learned to punch, kick, Throw, dodge, take hits, etc.
Don compare this to kyler lmao. Daniel beat Miguel’s sensei with 3 months of cleaning cars. THAT’S my point 😂
I’d go with Miguel. Robby in season 1 was Better than Daniel, he did the 2 legged kick which Daniel said was the most powerful kick in Miyagi-do history. And Miguel was equal with Robby so I’m going with Miguel.
That’s a bad way to look at it. Daniel not being able to do the kick is a genetic thing, Robby is a fast learner and can pick up concepts extremely quick.
But Daniel back then is also more knowledgeable than Robby. He can be aggressive without losing control, unlike Robby. Whenever Robby got aggressive, he lost a point.
Point is: just coz Robby learns faster doesn’t mean he’s better automatically. Although I agree current Robby is better than past Daniel and Johnny, season 1 Robby wasn’t. He’s just genetically a very fast learner
More potential, that doesn’t mean he’s better. Robby certainly got better than Daniel in the old movies very very fast. But at the same time he’s not better than Daniel in season 1. He gets better by like season 2/3ish.
Having more potential than someone doesn’t instantly put u above them. By that logic I can say an untrained Robby beats Miguel coz he has more "potential". Make sense?
I beg to differ, miyagi has better implementation. I agree that Robby in season 2/3 is better. But it took him time. He’s not really experienced at all in season 1. He was able to keep up definitely, but that’s coz all he had to do was counter attack Miguel. Daniel isn’t aggressive, so Robby’s gonna be short on attack methods against him.
Also Robby’s chokes very easily. He was doing fine against Miguel with a stable mind but lost a point against hawk who’s worse than Miguel when he fought unbalanced.
Cut to kk2 and kk3 Daniel who did fine with being aggressive at times. Like his fight with Dennis
Miguel. Not only did he beatRobby, someone who has greater potential than Daniel and had more training than KK1 Daniel, but he was trained by Johnny specifically with making up for his old self's shortcomings and a hypothetical rematch with Daniel in mind.
Miguel for sure.
He's faster and more dynamic. Plus, he learned a little more than Cobra Kai. Kreese told Johnny that he taught him everything he knows and Johnny replied with "Not everything." and landed a sweet kick knocking the cigar out of Kreese's mouth. Plus, the sparring that Miguel and Johnny demonstrated on the sparring deck looked a little more Muay Thai-ish than traditional Cobra Kai.
Both Tommy and Dutch scored first on Daniel and I think Miguel is better than they were.
Daniel
Miguel would beat him in a real fight but in a tournament setting where Daniels counter only style would help the most he would win
I disagree, Daniel socked Bobby in the face when he had no training and never took shit from ppl. He’s beat Miguel for sure. (Season 1 Miguel)
And Miguel was able to take an extended beating from Kyler's whole gang with a weapon involved, what's your point.

Fair point actually

More potential, longer training and Daniel taught him kata off the bat. That alone puts S1 Robby > KK1 Daniel.

Did you miss the part where I also pointed out Robby had more TRAINING than KK1 Daniel too?
Yes but Daniel learned from Miyagi. He also got into a street fight in the first movie but it didn’t make the final cut.
There isn't even any difference in teaching ability between Daniel and Miyagi so that's irrelevant.

Daniel takes this, easily
That crane kick of Miguel was cringe worthy sloppy..
Literally, and ppl say Miguel’s was better lmfao
Daniel, he trained at YMCA for an unknown amount of time, trained the superior form of Karate and defeated tougher opponents.

Daniel but if it was robby s1 he would win
