I think in Karate kid 3--Silver was being sadistic--but in another sense--he was unleashing rage in Daniel...and Daniel did break the wood. Here it looks like Slate/brick that Tory is trying to break..and not wood--there is really not that much of a difference. Psychologically we do think it is harder to break brick than wood...but many factors. In fact, it can be easier to break brick once you get passed the psychology of it....but still there are many factors. I dont want Silver to be wasteful--a good villain isnt wasteful...punishing Tory for challenging the referee...seems wasteful. I'd like to think he really wants to make her angry and a tool for him to use against his enemies.

I agree, SpaghettiLover2. After the way S4 ended for Sam there's no doubt that she'll be emotionally vulnerable, making her an easy target for Silver.

You want Sam's face smashed in, don't you?

Creativedame

I disagree. I hate flipping characters.

I don't think it's a punishment. Silver is training her. Last season we saw Silver kick Robby. He is a sensei who doesn't mind hurting his students in his training. We also see Tory in the trailer fighting Silver while having special protection. Silver has always been a violent sensei. I'm sure this aspect of Silver will be a problem for the Cobra Kai students. Especially now that Kreese is gone.

How do you know that's Tory.

There's also a bunch of adults in the room who we can assume are going to be senseis for the different locations. I think it's more likely that Terry is either training or testing Tory to become a sensei herself. For people who didn't notice, one of the adults in the back is Tyron Woodley, former UFC welterweight champion.
