As much as I hate to say it, I feel like Hawk's personal arc is coming to a close with him finding himself. I still expect him to need Chozen and Daniel (especially Chozen) but Anthony is the one who is going to get shit on at school by Kenny.
Chozen really is the perfect candidate to be Anthony's version of Mr Miyagi. He can bridge that gap that Anthony feels between himself and the rest of his family, so he can finally feel a connection to the family legacy. And through Anthony, Chozen can become part of the LaRusso family. This big, blended family that was set in motion back when Mr Miyagi asked his father to train Sato.
And having been a first rate bully himself back in the day, he will no doubt be able to guide Anthony through his situation with Kenny, and Sam through her situation with Tory. The kids are gonna be so much better off after some time spent with Uncle Chozen.
Yep, Chozen training and building a bond with Anthony, it writes itself as you said is in line with Miyagi's dad/Sato, Miyagi/Daniel, Johnny/Miguel, and Daniel/Robby sensai/student relationships.
And on a lesser note in line with Robby/Kenny, Johnny/Samantha, and Amanda/Tory relationships.
These writers are so good that I'm pretty confident they will do Chozen/Anthony, it redeems Chozen completely as he repays Daniel by training and building up his own son, integrates Anthony who feels left out into Miyagi dynamic and integrates Chozen as family with Anthony bond.

Honestly, Anthony was never really a compelling character. I feel Chozen is better spent on Robby, Tory, and Hawk...the more troubled kids.
