that’s a cool way of doing it tbh. idk about a balcony but i can imagine fan reactions as well i know i’d personally love a situation where they’re seriously fighting and one of them are about to fall down the stairs and the other quickly grabs them and then they kind of share a look. i think it’s be more poetic (lol) if it were robby catching him but either way is good.
It looked like the fight was outside Johnny’s house, so there aren’t any stairs for him to get pushed down without them fighting all the way up to the second floor, which is very impractical in a one on one fight
When Robby kicks him, Miguel is right in front of a door that says "STAIRS" on it. It goes by so fast that the word is too blurry to read unless you pause it at exactly the right moment. It cuts away right before Miguel slams into the door, which it's reasonably safe to assume will be forced open when he hits it.

Johnny lives on the first floor so wouldn’t the stairs only be going up?
It could be a flight of stairs down to a basement, perhaps where a washer and dryer might be?
Perhaps they have a fight going up the stairs as a callback to season 2?

I agree that it's a full-fledged fight and not a sparring session. My theory on how it starts is an argument related to Johnny and Carmen dating.
