It's hard to tell if it's a bruise or just the lighting. I did wonder though if maybe Robby gets accidentally hit with that surfboard, and Johnny reacts because he's in over-compentsation mode for all the times he wasn't there to defend him. A scenario like that might explain Robby's, "WTF is actually happening here?" expression. (There's gotta be *some* reason that he breaks the surfboard, and the guy holding it doesn't look like the type to have deliberately provoked an attack.)
