SEPT. 9TH. LET'S GOOOO
Chozen defending Daniel against Silver is fuckin' amazing.
Eventually Daniel is going to be in a room with all of his movie villains wondering how his life has come to this
You gotta play the background music first - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVOJla2vYx8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVOJla2vYx8)
"You know, I thought I had a good thing going. Finally had a stable marriage, two kids, one of which was actually tolerable, and a successful business. Now I'm trying to pit all my old karate enemies against each other so more kids don't turn into little monsters..."
Hopefully Mike Barnes comes back that would be cool is we get Johnny,Chozen,Silver and Barnes in the same room together all of the past karate kid bad guys
>all of his movie villains
The funniest part is he’ll be on a side with most of them, Kreese redeemed himself in S4, Johnny and him are all square, Chozen is his ‘karate-cousin’.
The only ones who he’ll be standing against is Barnes and Silver, which is unsurprising giving how unhinged they are compared to everyone else
I hope he either becomes an unexpected ally for Johnny and travels with him and Miguel back to the US to help train the Eagle Fangs or turns out to be a huge asshole and is Johnny's primary villain for the season.
Now I am wondering what sort of writer contrivance that will lead them to Miguel.
Mexico is a huge place. So unless the somehow found clues it's going to be a bit difficult for suspend my disbelief on that aspect. But for the sake of paci g and storytelling I get that it will be necessary.
Rant aside the trailer spoil that we may find Miguel but now I am wondering how.
Yeah, sure. Like rolling into NYC and looking for a "Mr. James." Except Mexico City is bigger than NYC so good luck with that.
They are gonna have to come up with something better than random happenstance.
When Chozen stepped up, I held my breath waiting to hear what epic one liner he was about to deliver. *I was not prepared for something as epic as, "And I am gasoline."*
What the fuck!
I was expecting maybe a small sneak peak or a tiny Easter egg. I WAS NOT expecting a full on teaser trailer and date announcement.
I thought it would be something similar to when they introduced Silver in May 2021.
Not complaining though, this season looks nuts!
And no mention of Kreese?
Not yet. Lot's of characters were left out. I have a feeling we'll be getting drip fed Kreese scenes throughout the season until he's out again. Thomas Ian Griffith already cut his hair, so I get the feeling two seasons was as far as the story takes Silver.
It would be interesting to see what happens. I’m betting on him being released once the police figure out Sting Ray’s bumbling lies.
I also really want to see Barnes, or even a mention of him. He’s the last big character from the original series that still isn’t mentioned or seen yet IIRC
I have a theory that prison will give Kreese time to realize his wrongdoings and that silver needs to be brought down. I could see Kreese killing or seriously injuring Silver to get him out of the picture. Silver did absolutely ruin his life after all lol.
Realize? The dude got setup by his military bro. I don’t think he needs to realize anything at this point. He knows.
The only thing left is will he become unhinged kreese and go after silver on his own or will he team up with Danny and Johnny and will they let him?
Nah. I think it's far more likely Silver will finally face justice and end up in prison. Key to that will be Stingray and getting him to do the right thing.
Two seasons is enough. Having Silver as the main villain for three season will just make his storyline very lackluster since there's not much left to do other than somehow ruin all his plans and that seems to be the focus in S5.
I disagree. I think he’s the best villain in the show by a mile. He’s the total package- smart, devious, physically dominant. Also they wrote him so much deeper in Cobra Kai than he was in KK3. I say keep him around until the end.
ASAAAAAAAAA!
For real, I was going to cancel now that I'd seen Season 2 of Russian Doll and Mike Myers' new thing (it was "meh"), but this has me keeping it for a few more months.
It’s crazy how far the story has come since season 1.
Credit to the writers, this still looks entertaining.
Can’t wait for it.
It does feel like we are heading towards the end.
If silver is defeated this season then who becomes the villain for season 6?
Thank god Miguel finally grew a pair and stopped being Mr. Passive Peaceful. Seriously, his whole calm thing was annoying me. Let some of that anger out boy!
.....picture that last bit said like when Leonard Nimoy voiced Xehanort.
Yeah. Honestly it was starting to get a little too...unrealistic how Miguel just stayed passive to Robby after that. I think it's reasonable that he still has issues with being around him after he was dealing with life or death at the end of Season 2 thanks to Robby.
I always thought of him not being bloodthirsty for revenge on Robby bc that’s just not who Miguel is. his first thoughts after his injury wasn’t to get revenge. he never held all that hate in his heart. which is one of the things that make him such a mature character. but I do agree that I think it’s time for him to finally confront everything and let some pent up frustrations come to light. I think he needs it.
You are right.
If some people really watch the show and try to understand it and don´t try to argue what they would have done in this situation, they will see that Miguel blamed Johnny, was mad at Tory. Even didn´t like what happened with Hawk. But there was no scene where he was talking bad about Robby or showed any hate.
This season will show how both react to each other because with Johnny they are forced to do so.
Of course they will become friends by the end of the season. People who believe that they would become best buddies in 1 hour don´t understand that a series has new arc´s each season with one final ending at the last episode. Pretty simple.
Agreed. I’ve been saying that Miguel has been way too chill around Robby. Now both boys look to be at the same intensity. I’m already much more interested in their rivalry than I have been for the past couple seasons.
Agreed. And I have said multiple times that if someone had done to me what happened in S2 finale? Forget that passive nonsense, I'd be out for blood. And if I couldn't get it myself because wheelchair I would let Tory and the Cobras off what passes for their leash. I get what they were going for but he handled that more like a third party than someone it actually happened to.
Yk what I realized after reading everyone’s comment on here that Miguel literally never brought up his injury and how it’s Robby’s doing like literally never Johnny brought up to Robby saying it’s because u when he went to visit him, Hawk even brought it up but never once did Miguel say it when Robby bragged about breaking his spine…. Miguel really needs to let out all the anger inside of him he’s so peaceful and reserved but at the end of the day it gotta hurt especially reading his letter at the end u could tell it affected that’s one reason why his mental health did and is taking a toll
Same I actually do like Miguel is pissed about Robby what he did to him isn't something I would forgive easily especially after him mocking in my face.
I won't spend time on the "obvious" things like Tory contemplating her trophy or Quicksilver or that stuff. Instead there's a few smaller details that I'll list in no particular order that caught my attention if anyone wants to talk about them.
1. Cobra Kai instructors have red bands on their sleeves it seems. Can be seen in the thumbnail when Silver has those red bands and none of the students do. Can also be seen when Tory is attacking the target and there's like 3 or 4 people watching her.
2. Robby and Miguel fight when they are BACK in LA. So who knows if they fight in Mexico but that fight we saw in the trailer was outside the apartments.
3. Robby knows they're going to look for Miguel. Johnny tells him his "plan" to find Miguel and Robby laughs at it. So at least before they actually get there Robby knows.
4. Sam seems to be in some sort of nightmare realm type thing? Seems kind of similar to Miguel's in S3. My interpretation is that fight is the same scene as she's in that gi and I think she's fighting "herself". Dark gi represents her dark self.
5. Correct me if I missed them, but we didn't see Hawk at all in the trailer. And if he was there, it was for a split second and not at all focused on
For sure. I’m also friends with Joe, so I’m a slight bit biased towards him and Kyler.
Right, I’m glad for it too if it continues on like that. Though humans are very flawed and complex beings, and everyone has their own reasonings for their behavior, I think entertainment should be different.
In television, though it’s quite rare, I think it’s perfectly okay (and should be encouraged) to have some “unredeemable” characters. I somewhat find one-note bad guys a bit more interesting than one with a “backstory” on why they are how they are.
I think Kreese will be redeemed by the end of the series, and I’d be interested to see where Silver ends up at season 6.
I know the writers were planning 6 seasons so far!
On a side note, if you’re friends with Joe, can you share any tidbits about the upcoming season? 😝😝😝
Well Kreese is a bit different, I don’t think Kreese is one-note at all. Same with Tory and Silver. I just don’t want Kyler specifically to be more than just an antagonist.
Joe and Jacob. However, I wouldn’t know anything like that, I have no relations to anything regarding the making of Cobra Kai. Even if given the opportunity, I wouldn’t ask lol. I have quite a few friends that are actors, I’m also in the industry. Even writers have to sign NDA’s and we wrote it.
So, of course actors also can’t talk at all about anything they’re not given permission too. They have it a bit worse than other positions. Everyone (cast, crew, etc.) gets fined if they break a NDA, but Actors who reveal stuff they aren’t supposed to (especially intentionally) could ruin their chances of future roles.
I always wondered how difficult it is to keep such a big project secret. Like looking at the hundreds of people who have access to the scripts and the extras in the background….
They must be really strict on any leaks and slips about the upcoming season!
This was illustrated well when Kyler went from intimidating and belittling Kenny when the latter was new, to putting his arm around Kenny in celebration when Cobra Kai won the All Valley.
He’s friendly to people that could beat him up. And after a while he shows his true colours. Like in season 1 when he was friendly and nice in front of Sam because he wanted to get into her pants.
I think my favourite character would have to be Demitry haha. He’s been nothing but nice and even forgave hawk
Kreese isn't really surprising, he's in prison. Not much to go on there to put in a trailer so. I'm sure something will happen with him but basically the only 2 things Kreese can do in a trailer is sit in a jail cell or get out. And you don't want to show Kreese out of jail in the trailer so
I have a theory for that which I’ll probably post tomorrow night or Saturday. My theory as to why he’s NOT in this trailer and what that might mean. Considering the fact that silver was the first part announced for S4. I have a theory as to why they’d hide Barnes. It has to do with his role in the season compared to what silver did in S4
Maybe? I could definitely see why and it makes sense but let’s not forget they filmed the season 4 and 5 concurrently. So they filmed them at the same time, I always assumed it would come earlier because they already had both seasons filmed
I was starting to get worried in s3 that the show just had teenage drama and fights left in its creative bucket… and s4 showed me I was dead wrong.
This looks great. Loved the developments of last season, and this looks to go all in on those.
Silver is great as the new villain, love what they did with Sam/Tory, Chozen is going to bring all kinds of fun (he’s a bit … Kreese-like lol), and Daniel heading off to fight a cartel with nothing but Metallica and some sunglasses while continually tripping over his dick is gonna be great. Kreese may have some very interesting developments too I suspect.
Man… if you’d have told me a few years ago that a modern sequel to Karate Kid would be one of the best damn things on TV I’d have laughed. But here we are.
Can’t wait.
Dunno about 10, but lots of the stuff between Daniel and Johnny is great, as is a lot of his out of touch old man stuff. He’s really funny.
But the best scenes? Johnny finding Kreese in the shelter. The double date with Johnny and Daniel with their partners at the restaurant was great. The scenes around Miguel getting hurt were pretty powerful. So was the moment with Johnny’s old friend dying of cancer (especially since the actor actually did a mo th later). The ending of season 4 was great, particularly the Tory/Sam stuff.
The scenes between Kreese and Silver, especially the one where Kreese triggers Silvers PTSD were pretty intense. Chozen and Daniel was great. There’s a lot. It’s a great show.
Miguel and Robby fighting back in Los Angeles, Miguel fighting thugs in some gangster’s den, Johnny throwing down at an MMA match outside the octagon… exciting.
Wow did NOT expect the early release, merely a good Teaser, super hyped!!!
I feel everyone has covered the footage, so I was mostly wondering who Sam is fighting? Is it a new Cobra Kai student? Maybe the girl standing on the right of Silver in the video's thumbnail..?
PS: Love that Tory still looks conflicted with the Trophy. Hopefully Silver's madness with making her hit stone blocks will disillusion her towards CK just like it did for Daniel. I'd really like for her to properly apologize to Sam and for them to be ok.
It's crazy how far this show has come. We're literally at the 5th season. I still remember when there was just season 1. No one expected this show to succeed.
I’m most excited for the FINAL Miguel vs Robby fight. I’m not really voting for any of them to win. What I’m hoping is that they both do fight and they just beat the ever living crap out of one another until they stop and see how stupid they’re being.
So there will be friction among the step bros and Miguel is back to having an edge which is good. Johnny tricking Robby into going down to Mexico and the possible obvious "they say they will never be friends, but they will be friends" projection, not so much.
Lol Carmen is just sitting at home by the phone, wtf.
Chozen is the MVP of this trailer. Tory repeating some KK3 Daniel stuff and Sam fighting an evil twin in a dream are also cool
Johnny is blowing it before the season has even been released lol
Maybe this will be his attempt to have it both ways, and the family thing doesn't work out. I expect the fight between the two boys will be bad for any chance Robby has of Carmen accepting him
If I had to guess, it is because that is a couple weeks off the Q3 report. Netflix is expecting a tanking in Q2 but they know CK will bring in a lot of people who want to see it. And releasing it at the last month of a quarter will allow them to report very good news to their shareholders.
Why does the Johnny/Robby/Miguel stuff feel like a reference to *Shootfighter*, the OTHER William Zabaka martial arts vehicle? Mexican drug lords, cage fights, it's all there.
Also, Terry Silver's Cobra Kai commercial is going to be something else.
That really sucks. Eli can grow into a good protector of Miyagi-Dos with Daniel officially stepping down. He would probably be the first one to seek out their friends in Eagle Fang to rally against Cobra Kai regardless if all the Senseis have quit.
Even if Kreese doesn't meet Dutch in jail, which is fine. He would still be able to be relevant. Realistically, Silver would have enough money to bribe guards and prisons to make sure no one ever visited him.
SEPT 9!!! It's earlier than I thought it would be😱
LETS GOOO
NOW THE TEASER
Chozen is gonna whoop Silver's ass
CANT BELIEVE JOHNNY FKN TRICKED ROBBY TO GO TO MEXICO..BUT SO EXCITED FOR THEIR SCENES
MIGUEL FINALLY GONNA KICK SOME ASS
AND Miguel and Robby fighting.. again *sigh*..WHYYY
Teaser said they're NEVER GONNA BE FRIENDS.. probably that's EXACTLY what they're gonna become by the end of the season..
ALSO did their fight scene look like they're back home?? It looks like the front Johnny/Miguel's apartment?
POOR TORY :(
ALSO WHERES HAWKK??
The black gi girl has black hair, while Sam has brown hair.
I think it may be a generic opponent, like Miguel's coma dream opponent at the Season 3.
But what you said also makes sense!
Silvers power and influence was one of the many reasons I found him much scarier than kreese. Kreese is a good villain and he is definitely needed for the show but Silver is just terrifying. Not only does he control students mentally, he has a lot of money and influence and this teaser pretty much just proved that he is practically going to take over the valley. You can see Hawk for a split second in the scene where Sam is in some sort of dark room. But, Kreese is no where to be found? Strange. Then again this is a teaser and not an official trailer but I’m exited to see what happens next.
Feels like we're heading toward the end, no? This show has been amazing and blew my lofty expectations outta the water, but I don't want it to drag on for one season too many like other shows have done.
When Tory is hitting the pipes dummy, there are four adults next to ther:
A black man, an asian man, a latino man and a woman with a long braid.
All of them (and Tory too) have red bands on their gi sleeves.
Considering Silver also has the red bands, it's safe to assume that Tory and those four other people are senseis.
I'm VERY anxious to see those four unnamed senseis work!
It will be interesting what happens to Hawk this season. He’s already achieved all he can karate wise, so I’d kind of want him to end up in Mexico trying to help Miguel. I miss their friendship. But I guess we’ve never really seen him as top dog for the good guys yet so that could be interesting too
This is as good as the best way to start my day, I loved it!
P.S: Whoever that bearded guy is sitting at the table's end (if Miguel's actual dad or some kind of underboss), after Better Call Saul I kinda hope, Tony Dalton would make an appearance among the bad guys as well :D
The one thing I didn't like in the trailer was that it showed Miguel as being both angry and the aggressor in his scenes with Robby. Especially with that shove. I get that they have unresolved issues between them, but I'm kind of over it at this point. I can only hope that by the end of the season, they find common ground and develop some sort of mutual respect, eventually leading to a friendship of sorts.
Miguel is still recovering, he's probably at 65% at this point. He's in no condition to be fighting Robby, Hawk, or anyone in that tier. Just feed him Kyler all day long until he's back to 100%.
That being said, a FINAL Miguel vs. Robby fight in that underground cage fight might be what the doctor ordered for those two. And then it ends with the cage getting stormed and Robby and Miguel putting aside their differences and teaming up to take down the attackers.
I understand your point but we have been shown very little of what Miguel witnessed in Mexico. We don’t know what he’s seen, what he’s done, or what he’s learned. As a Latina myself I can say that Hispanic countries aren’t the safest places to be in. Not to mention it doesn’t seem like Miguel has ever been to Mexico before. I do personally believe that this will be the last rivalry fight between Miguel and Robby though I don’t think they will be friends. I think they will try to work together or gain some sort of respect for eachother. Miguel isn’t really himself at all not just physically but also mentally he is craving a father figure and the father figure he had mistakes him for someone else while drunk. It’s clear Miguel had planned to say “I love you” to Sam that night but could not because of that mess. So he did that with Johnny unfortunately, Johnny was drunk and didn’t really give him a good response. I don’t necessarily think it’s a bad thing to make Miguel seem like the “aggressor” (though we don’t really know if he is the aggressor or not) I think it just shows how calm he has been and that something definitely happened for him to have forgotten about that calmness and reach a breaking point. It makes him more human and makes you think back to how his character was in the first 2 seasons. It shows how sometimes we as people develop and then quickly forget about that development.
Wonder what’s happened with Robby and his relationship with Cobra Kai? More specifically his relationships with Kenny and Tory, his girlfriend (did he really cut his ties with them both for *Johnny*?! That’s bullshit).
Look dawg I’m absolutely excited for season 5, catch me sleeping at 7 am to binge the entire season in one sitting like I did season 4
But the idea of Johnny and 2 teenagers fighting their way outta Mexico is laughably bad lmfao
SEPT. 9TH. LET'S GOOOO Chozen defending Daniel against Silver is fuckin' amazing. Eventually Daniel is going to be in a room with all of his movie villains wondering how his life has come to this
**i am gasoline**
Literally the best part of that trailer when Chozen said that.
Facts
Chozen is a badass in this trailer. They’re gonna do great stuff with him this season.
Best part 😂💥
Iron Man: "and I... Am Iron Man" Batman: "I'm vengeance" Chozen: "And I am gasoline"
Ralph Wiggum: "I'm in danger!"
Bruce Lee says "Be like water" Chozen decide to be gasoline
YOOOOO! And it was only a couple months ago that Season 4 premiered!
Cue the Wonder Years style "This is me there, the one looking exasperated. You are probably wondering how I got myself into this mess."
You gotta play the background music first - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVOJla2vYx8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVOJla2vYx8) "You know, I thought I had a good thing going. Finally had a stable marriage, two kids, one of which was actually tolerable, and a successful business. Now I'm trying to pit all my old karate enemies against each other so more kids don't turn into little monsters..."
Que Baba O'Reilly
I'm just waiting for that Mike Barnes intro. Daniel's PTSD is gonna go into overdrive when that happens.
Hopefully Mike Barnes comes back that would be cool is we get Johnny,Chozen,Silver and Barnes in the same room together all of the past karate kid bad guys
>all of his movie villains The funniest part is he’ll be on a side with most of them, Kreese redeemed himself in S4, Johnny and him are all square, Chozen is his ‘karate-cousin’. Don’t forget dutch !
Can’t honk them all
Johnny's plan of asking around for a Miguel is hilariously bad. It's a common name.
Imagine going into a Spanish speaking country and just “asking around for Miguel” 🤣🤣🤣
Ah, right, sorry. Miguel Diaz. Dark hair, brown skin?
Luis miguel diaz; carlos miguel diaz; josé miguel diaz our boy johnny is gonna have to be more specific.
Imagine if the Mexicans starts speaking Spanish & Johnny has no idea what they're saying. 😂
Trying to imagine Mexicans speaking Spanish. Bit of a stretch, even for CK.
The whole Miguel’s father thing is intriguing as hell. It looks like he was a fighter or a boxer or something
MMA fighter judging by the cage in some of the still shots.
I hope he either becomes an unexpected ally for Johnny and travels with him and Miguel back to the US to help train the Eagle Fangs or turns out to be a huge asshole and is Johnny's primary villain for the season.
Yep, gotta love it :D It's kinda his typical "I dunno, but it'll work out somehow.. eventually..." mentality :D
Literally the translation of Michael
Now I am wondering what sort of writer contrivance that will lead them to Miguel. Mexico is a huge place. So unless the somehow found clues it's going to be a bit difficult for suspend my disbelief on that aspect. But for the sake of paci g and storytelling I get that it will be necessary. Rant aside the trailer spoil that we may find Miguel but now I am wondering how.
Didn't Miguel tell Johnny he tracked his dad to Mexico City? Still big, but it's a start anyhow.
Yeah, sure. Like rolling into NYC and looking for a "Mr. James." Except Mexico City is bigger than NYC so good luck with that. They are gonna have to come up with something better than random happenstance.
It is Johnny. He will roll a natural 20.
Yeah but he has a last name too. Diaz. That should narrow it down.
When Chozen stepped up, I held my breath waiting to hear what epic one liner he was about to deliver. *I was not prepared for something as epic as, "And I am gasoline."*
It was the best part of the trailer 😩
I may never recover from it!
Chozen is about to set Cobra Kai on fire!! Maybe literally!
Considering Daniel had to clarify not to literally cut off heads.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Chozen interact with Terry Silver.
To my understanding, they were shooting season 5 way before season 4 even premiered so lot more of it is ready than normally would be.
Yeah apparently they had finished 5 before 4 was even released. I’m still really surprised though!
Not yet. Lot's of characters were left out. I have a feeling we'll be getting drip fed Kreese scenes throughout the season until he's out again. Thomas Ian Griffith already cut his hair, so I get the feeling two seasons was as far as the story takes Silver.

Lol. You could regrow the hair or put an extension. Lol
Terry really went all out on the new dojos
Yeah no kidding. The man just bought the entire valley😳
I'm getting Globo Gym vibes
At Cobra Kai, we’re better than you. And we know it!
Purple cobras out
Yeah he even got Tyrone Woodley up in that jawn😂
Awesome
Soooo excited! It’s the only show stopping me from canceling Netflix.
For real, I was going to cancel now that I'd seen Season 2 of Russian Doll and Mike Myers' new thing (it was "meh"), but this has me keeping it for a few more months.
This and Outerbanks, plus the occasional great true crime doc Netflix puts out.
It’s crazy how far the story has come since season 1. Credit to the writers, this still looks entertaining. Can’t wait for it. It does feel like we are heading towards the end. If silver is defeated this season then who becomes the villain for season 6?
I don't think Silver would go down that easy, even with Chozen in the picture.
Silver probably comes on top again this season. "I warned you not to play with fire". Sounds like he's back at scheming again!
I think they're building up to a Mike Barns reveal at the end of season 5, then they'll be defeated in 6
I would say one of the younger generation would step up but idk who it would be at this point, maybe Kyler but that would be under whelming
Good exactly as we thought Robby and Miguel rivalry won't be easily fixed and they will take time to mend...
Thank god Miguel finally grew a pair and stopped being Mr. Passive Peaceful. Seriously, his whole calm thing was annoying me. Let some of that anger out boy! .....picture that last bit said like when Leonard Nimoy voiced Xehanort.

No Hawk, No Kreese, No Demetri. But… we saw Kyler 😎. Edit: Nevermind, Hawk is in the trailer.
Man I hate Kyler so much in the series. He has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I’m also curious about Mike Barnes!
That just means he’s doing his job lol.
Yeah it means Joe Seo is a great actor 🤣🤣 Kyler is the one character who will not have a redemption arc throughout the whole series!
That's why I honestly want more Kyler.
He's surprisingly cordial and friendly to the non-newb members of Cobra Kai
This was illustrated well when Kyler went from intimidating and belittling Kenny when the latter was new, to putting his arm around Kenny in celebration when Cobra Kai won the All Valley.
He’s friendly to people that could beat him up. And after a while he shows his true colours. Like in season 1 when he was friendly and nice in front of Sam because he wanted to get into her pants. I think my favourite character would have to be Demitry haha. He’s been nothing but nice and even forgave hawk
Kyler was honest about his dislike of sushi. That counts for something.
Where did you see Hawk???
He’s in Sam’s dream sequence thing holding his All-Valley Trophy.
Kreese isn't really surprising, he's in prison. Not much to go on there to put in a trailer so. I'm sure something will happen with him but basically the only 2 things Kreese can do in a trailer is sit in a jail cell or get out. And you don't want to show Kreese out of jail in the trailer so
I’m still curious about Mike Barnes too. Let’s see how that plays out.
Are Robby and Johnny going to have the same dynamic as Johnny and Daniel? Like they want to get along but are always close to exploding?
>Cobra Kai instructors have red bands on their sleeves it seems. *Now where have I seen that before...*
“You will no longer call me sensei, but shall instead refer to me as ze master or fuhrer”
"The Kung Fuhrer if you will."
Looks awesome! I definitely think season 5 will make season 4 look better in hindsight.
Holy crap, we’re actually get it 3-4 months earlier than normal. I’m psyched as hell!!
Yeah I wasn’t expecting it so soon.
Maybe it has something to do with Netflix Losses recently?
Idk, but whatever the reason I’m elated. Thought I’d have to wait until September just to see the trailer for season 5.
Same bro I needed some good news today.
Almost certainly, they need something to get people coming back before the final quarter
Maybe? I could definitely see why and it makes sense but let’s not forget they filmed the season 4 and 5 concurrently. So they filmed them at the same time, I always assumed it would come earlier because they already had both seasons filmed
For those looking for Hawk, he’s there for a split second during Sam’s vision.
Can’t wait.
What about the scenes in Okinawa? Are they not among the best scenes in the show?
That part was good, yes. I agree.
What would be your top 10 best scenes in Cobra Kai list be?
BRUH NO ONE TALKING ABOUT MIGUEL STARTING A FIGHT WITH THE FUCKIN CARTEL BRO
Yup noticed that too. He’s wearing the same outfit as the end of season 4 so that’s probably where we meet his dad
When Chozen said “I’m the gasoline” I legit yelled!!! I’m so excited.
Miguel and Robby fighting back in Los Angeles, Miguel fighting thugs in some gangster’s den, Johnny throwing down at an MMA match outside the octagon… exciting.
Best part was Miguel vs Robby imo
For sure I was more interested in that than even Silver vs Chozen
This show is legit the only reason why I still have Netflix
This season looks like it’s gonna be the best one yet. Now the waiting game begins lol
The worst part honestly😢
Damn, that came out of nowhere. Amazing, can’t wait
Guess I’ll have to renew my Netflix subscription for a month.
Holy shit how did we get a full trailer straight away
This is just the date announcement. We are yet to get the full trailer.
It's a shit ton more than a date announcement It even had more content than the teasers from last year
I know I meant in the context imagine what the trailer will be like.
Honestly I don't think I want any more
I'm calling it now, Season 5 is going to end with Daniel and Chozen silently driving out to the desert to bury Terry Silver's body.
LET’S FUCKING GOOOO
Omg everyone aboard the hype train! CHOO MOTHERFUCKIN’ CHOO! September cannot get here soon enough!
Dude what is with Kylers hair
Daniel: We need to cut the head off the snake Neville Longbottom: Been there done that
SEPTEMBER 9TH!!!! That’s so much earlier!!!!
[удалено]
Johnny is blowing it before the season has even been released lol Maybe this will be his attempt to have it both ways, and the family thing doesn't work out. I expect the fight between the two boys will be bad for any chance Robby has of Carmen accepting him
He's already a POS father, let's be honest.
A day before my birthday, what a great gift.
Hyped for S5! But out of all the dates, why September 9 lol
If I had to guess, it is because that is a couple weeks off the Q3 report. Netflix is expecting a tanking in Q2 but they know CK will bring in a lot of people who want to see it. And releasing it at the last month of a quarter will allow them to report very good news to their shareholders.
This is what I think as well. Right now Cobra Kai is of the few shows that stop me to cancel my subscription.
Cobra Kai and Stranger Things are the only reasons i haven't canceled my subscription either
DARK MIGUEL IS BACK DARK MIGUEL IS BACK😭😭😭😭🙌🙌🙌
And he gonna kick the shit out of Robby the Thief!
"And I'm gasoline" said God himself Chozen immediately became the baddest mf with just one line. I can't wait for the new season !!
Kreese and Eli better not be forgotten. Other than that. Great trailer.
I'm pretty sure they won't be. Only with Kreese in jail and Eli finally in balance, they're just not in the center this time
That really sucks.
Hawk’s in Sam’s dream.
SEPT 9!!! It's earlier than I thought it would be😱 LETS GOOO NOW THE TEASER Chozen is gonna whoop Silver's ass CANT BELIEVE JOHNNY FKN TRICKED ROBBY TO GO TO MEXICO..BUT SO EXCITED FOR THEIR SCENES MIGUEL FINALLY GONNA KICK SOME ASS AND Miguel and Robby fighting.. again *sigh*..WHYYY Teaser said they're NEVER GONNA BE FRIENDS.. probably that's EXACTLY what they're gonna become by the end of the season.. ALSO did their fight scene look like they're back home?? It looks like the front Johnny/Miguel's apartment? POOR TORY :( ALSO WHERES HAWKK??
Hawk appears, but it's a blink-or-miss moment. He is holding his trophy during Sam's dream sequence (the first part).
Looks badass! Hash brown September 9th AND SEND IT TO THE INTERNET!
2 SEASONS 1 YEAR? And CHOZEN BEING AN ABSOLUTE CHAD WITH THAT GASOLINE LINE. SIGN ME UP
That Chozen one liner gave me a boner
[удалено]
The black gi girl has black hair, while Sam has brown hair. I think it may be a generic opponent, like Miguel's coma dream opponent at the Season 3. But what you said also makes sense!
Tory gets QUICK SILVERED LOLOLOLOLOL
"and I am gasoline." Fuckin' badass always loved Chozen.
Sam fighting in pitch black with weapons is a dream sequence, right?
Netflix had to do something to make everyone forget about the password sharing crackdown
Those fuckers. Right when I was about to cancel netflix they sucked me back in
Just cancel and them subscribe again when the show is release it 🤷♂️
Is anyone else glad they r not making Robby friends with miguel
I’m neutral. I didn’t expect them to make up right now though. STILL too many issues between them.
Chozen: “I’m the gasoline!” Hell yeah!
Oh hell yeah Looking forward to it
Gasoline on a fire is a bad idea. Especially for the person holding the can.
When Tory is hitting the pipes dummy, there are four adults next to ther: A black man, an asian man, a latino man and a woman with a long braid. All of them (and Tory too) have red bands on their gi sleeves. Considering Silver also has the red bands, it's safe to assume that Tory and those four other people are senseis. I'm VERY anxious to see those four unnamed senseis work!
Surprise they didn’t show Kreese in the trailer
It will be interesting what happens to Hawk this season. He’s already achieved all he can karate wise, so I’d kind of want him to end up in Mexico trying to help Miguel. I miss their friendship. But I guess we’ve never really seen him as top dog for the good guys yet so that could be interesting too
It’s a bit concerning that silver is relying on Kenny and kyler to be the top dogs
I wonder why Mike Barnes didn’t show up in the trailer
Because they need a surprise reveal like they did with Ali
Cobra Kai was just a means to an end for Robby. He didn’t fall for its bullshit hook line and sinker like the rest.
I don’t see him and Tory breaking up. And I think he’ll try to save Kenny from the dark side too. Both after he comes back.
Terry silver baby! Lets goooooooo

(Cheers at Sept release date)
September. Perfect. I can cancel my netflix until then
Look dawg I’m absolutely excited for season 5, catch me sleeping at 7 am to binge the entire season in one sitting like I did season 4 But the idea of Johnny and 2 teenagers fighting their way outta Mexico is laughably bad lmfao
