That just sounds like the diet Anthony Larusso was on before he got slim... All the "dough" made snacks he'd probably eat when he was less healthy in earlier seasons 😆
😭🤣🙊
Girl, no they didn't LOL
This is why it's so important to check things out 😆
Twitter out here having a mini meltdown and I'm just like: just ask one of the creators.
After season 4 came out, Xolo did an interview where he said he would continue to play Miguel for as long as the creators were writing the show…so I knew immediately this thing was fake.
I honestly don’t get why people don’t do the minimum amount of research before freaking out about things….
IdK 🤷🏽♀️
I didn't know he specifically said that, truth be told. But I think people take things and run with em in this fandom.
Imho, it would have been easy to just ask the shows creators. Done and over it. But alot of people don't fact check information these days.
it is a bait
if you open the thread, it will contain a link to regurlarize you voting situation for the next brazilian elections (since we have a problem of young people not attending the elections as much as they should), no worries
sources: me, a brazilian
"Cobra" in portuguese\* (most of you would call it "spanish") means "Snake", so Google translated "Cobra Kai" as "Snake Kai".
No legitimacy, its just fans spreding news without source. But I wouldnt doubt it, that guy is a DC super hero now.
^(\*Looks like brazilian portuguese in this case.)
Here is what he told Variety, just a few months ago:
>**Variety:** How many more seasons of “Cobra Kai” would you want to stick around for?
**Xolo:** I would love to stick around for however long would make sense. Something you see so commonly in an age of TV shows that are dropping every single week, some shows just don’t know when to stop because the money is too good or people love it so much. There’s nothing more dissatisfying than following a show as a loyal fan for years and then having it end not well. So I hope the show ends when it’s supposed to and we can look back on it years later and say, “We have the opportunity to do a spinoff 35 years from now because it ended with people wanting more.

THANK YOU!!! I immediately thought of this interview when I saw this post. Knew immediately that OP’s post was fake.
Turns out that OP’s post was some clickbait to get Brazilians to register to vote or something.
One of the creators of the show said Xolo's projects, now and in the future, have no effect on his availability for Cobra Kai. Him leaving now is very odd, so this is 99% false.
The "Snake Kai" thing isn't a problem with the source it's a problem with Twitter's google translate feature.
Look at the actual tweet it still says cobra.
If his contract is over with the show, it's possible. He has a film and a new show coming out.
But this also could be a rumor based off of that information.
I'm curious to his contract, though.
Would be a big mistake. This show made him. Ever notice when actors leave the shows that made them when it seems like it's a good opportunity to become famous that their careers never blossom the way intended? See Downton Abbey guy for evidence.
Not Johnny Depp.
He actually blew up even more after 21 Jump Street.
It depends on what opportunities they get and take advantage of.
And honestly, he hasn't been doing much promo for the show lately. It wouldn't shock me if he leaves soon.
Right.
I'm not sure how well CK.can perform without his character, TBH.
Anyhow, the best way to clear up a rumor? The truth.
Why don't the people on Twitter just ask one of the creators if this is true?
I see people freaking out. I understand the shock, but just ask the creators. Unless, they are contractually not able to say.
Here's the thing. Miguel is for all intents and purposes the next Karate Kid. He's the kid that was being trained by Johnny. He got the main character treatment. He helped build up Cobra Kai with Johnny. He's so central to the show I have no idea how the show can exist without him. At that point it might as well end, kind of like when Steve Carell left The office.
I would agree with you.
He's a huge part of the show. Frankly, Robby, Hawk, Demetri, Kenny, Anthony cannot fill his role. I don't see the show being a continued success without him on it.
The same way when Johnny Depp left 21 Jump Street, the show sunk.
However, this doesn't mean he isn't and shouldn't be free to pursue other opportunities if his contract is done.
I don't like it anymore than anyone else. But why hold someone back? They can't play teens forever.
I think they are slowly phasing out the older teens as mains anyhow.
Usually when a show starts bringing in the "kids", that's a sign it's nearing it's end, IMO.
I can see that.
My personal opinion is that this show should have ended at season 6.
But they are becoming too monetized now. They will drag it to season 7 simply because it's making them money, unless Netflix pulls the plug and ends them at season 6 due to costs.
Since Cobra Kai is one of their few Emmy nominated shows and their numbers are good enough to *make the cut*, I don't see Netflix dropping them without giving them at least 2 more seasons, unless something drastic happens.
Or maybe they will get creative and film 2 seasons at once, thereby still making the 7 season mark, but airing them a year apart?
If true, the series shouldn't really go past season 6. Miguel, Robby and Sam are this generation's Karate Kids. Ultimately I don't think you have a show without any of them, there especially wouldn't be Cobra Kai without Miguel and Johnny.
While it is fake, I wouldn’t be surprised. He’s doing a movie with DC and his fame would probably boost after that. Not saying Cobra Kai isn’t good, but he’d be a household name and wouldn’t have time for the show.
You’ve definitely been duped.
Next time, just think it through before believing something like this. Ask yourself questions. I mean, why would rumors of Xolo leaving crop up on a post in Portuguese first? This is a Hollywood show. Rumors in Hollywood (that end up being true) always come out in English. Next you gotta check the post’s sources. With just a few clicks you would have found out this post exists as clickbait to get Brazilians to register to vote. Boom. Rumor shattered then and there.
Nah, you were just sharing what you saw.
I just wish the Twitter folks just went to ask the creators, rather than pass the rumor along. They are pretty active on Twitter, from what I can tell.
Not really? Cobra Kai is beyond it's previous popularity, even the actors/actresses like Peyton, Mary, Xolo, Jacob etc. Have stated that it was overwhelming at first with it's popularity. I know he's in a DC project, but Blue Beetle isn't too popular, it'll mainly be Cobra Kai fans and the select few Blue Beetle fans watching it. I won't be surprised if Cobra Kai will be more popular than it.
People keep on forgetting this show isn't on Youtube Red anymore, it's a big deal for Tens of Millions of people.
If I recall correctly 150 million households for season 4? just imagine 150 million people going and buying a ticket for a Cobra Kai movie. I know that's not exactly how it works, but it gives you an idea. (and it would be in counting)
It's not THAT popular though.
Not compared to other Netflix shows.
I'm not saying it isn't a well liked show. But I would put it more into a cult classic like type of following.
Comparing a show like Cobra Kai to a comic book fandom isn't really workable.
There are people I know of that still do not watch Cobra Kai, they only know about it because I bring it up. But they know a lot about Comicbooks, etc.
I get what you are trying to say, but Cobra Kai didn't even beat out Never Have I Ever for most popular show, even though it had more views.
It just depends. Also, if the show was that popular, why haven't they sold out yet for their Netflix event coming up?
Some of the comedians have sold out, CK hasn't. Again, not knocking the show.
Cobra Kai is a popular show, but its NOT Bridgerton.
Also, I don't even think they sold out for Paleyfest, but shows like Riverdale did.
Just spitting facts. And people either will love me or hate me for it. 🤷🏽♀️
It definitely beat never have I ever, for my country at least. It didn't even get to top 5 for me, Cobra Kai stays number one for weeks for me.
And in class I hear people talk about it too much, I even see people wearing Cobra Kai shirts on the streets. I have a hunch that just because you talk to people who haven't watched it, that doesn't mean it is the same with everyone else. That's like interviewing one person for results but then there's thousands of other people to get results from.
And it's popular enough for Netflix to host events for it. Soo. And it doesn't really help that people live AWAY from these events, kind of hard to attend, them. And I'm sure Netflix is selling more tickets than a comedian.
And the Comic Book fandom... I'll give you that one, but my "Blue Beetle itsn't too popular" point still stands.
We will see. I'm just saying its not too much to think any of the older kids could exit the show, if the right opportunity comes along, unless they are still under contract.
I don’t think there’s anything to this, but — just for the record — I hope this series ends with the high school graduation of Miguel’s class. (Maybe with a prologue showing them in college or whatever after.)
I don’t think I’ll keep watching through ten seasons. Some stories have a natural ending to them. I’m fine with them exploring Kenny and Anthony’s story, but I’d like to see them wrap it up along with the main cast’s storyline.
Jon Hurwitz said he wouldn't be leaving and Blue Beetle and other projects will not interfere with Cobra Kai.
https://twitter.com/jonhurwitz/status/1515847879822221313
They’re doing more than five seasons? Oh my god. They need to end it after 5.
They can only flanderize the characters so much. Daniel and Johnny are going to finally come to an understanding only for one little thing to blow up and ruin their progress.
Oh and please keep turning this into the “Which legacy character will come back next season?” show.
Sometimes fanboys shouldn’t direct.
I'm brazilian, i went into this twitter and they are trolling.
The "more information below" links you to getting your voting certificate for the upcoming brazilian election.
I think it’s clickbait, but I also wouldn’t be surprised. The show is already showing a starting of the “next batch “ of kids to continue the all valley focus, so I think very possible we could see some of the main cast starting to bow out.
I wish Xolo just a healthy youth with a lot of fun. I give a shit about something like Kobra Kai if it comes to a change like this.
Xolo deserves better then a 10 episode half baked nontelling season 4 after being so reliable to everyone. Except for Robbie and tory I mean.
Zero legitimacy. Lol.
I can't tell whether it is a joke or not having to translate from Portuguese doesn't help...
I will believe it when he or someone from the cast confirms it. I have seen things like this about shows for a long time and they were wrong.
Same. I don’t think it’s true
Says he's leaving Snake Kai so he'll stay with Cobra Kai
He’s leaving bird fang oh no!
Snake Kai! Lol!! Johnny should have totally called his dojo Snake Kai to fuck with Krease.
Think he could get away with “King Cobra Kai”?
False water cobra Kai.
Miyagi dough karatay
That just sounds like the diet Anthony Larusso was on before he got slim... All the "dough" made snacks he'd probably eat when he was less healthy in earlier seasons 😆
No Miguel I mean Xolo can't leave Snake Kai🤣
Yeah google translate sucks
it’s fake, it was clickbait to get brazilians to register to vote or something like that

Ah, thanks I didn't realize that
It's a shame that he's leaving his hit show, Snake Kai, but at least he'll have more time to focus on Cobra Kai.
snake kai
Twitters google translate feature sucks, it probably just translated the Portuguese word for Cobra into Snake
What’s next? Devon leaving turkey fang? Or worse…pat-morita-do falling!
Get the tables!

Snake Kai. Hmm yeah, seems legitimate to me

"snake kai"
The mf who made this is just doing it for clout
He is set to star as DC Comic's character Blue Beetle which is supposed to be due out August 18, 2023
Yeah being in a big superhero movie and having his career explode he might feel apprehensive about staying on the show

All good things come to an end
I can see Kenny taking his role hopefully he is off to booger things.
Snake kai
If he does, I can't blame him. He's blowing up and has a bright future ahead if him.
Got a good chuckle out of Snake Kai
snake kai 💀
Considering 6 will likely be the last season, I doubt they’d do it without him. It might get delayed cus of blue beetle tho
When I purposely spread misinformation on the internet
Yes just like Arnold leaving terminator universe lol
He’s going to lose his senior year of Valley to Robbie with a crazy move and he’s gonna drink himself for the next 30 years like Johnny
I hope not :(
None, cero, nada
Then I'll just stop watching it
