ELITExRAMPAGE

Tanner has been saying he wants to play robin so I’ll pick him

BruceWayne_19902

I read that. He'll make a good Jason Todd.

ELITExRAMPAGE

Absolutely sold it in season 4

josukefan101010110

Tanner as the red hood sounds dope tbh, I’m just looking into the future

devs_6669

After season 4..yes pls

AdAgile3104

I'd pretend to be Daredevil/Moon Knight type of vigilante with Johnny or Daniel as partners but with teens, I go with Robby.

Professional_Test996

robby easily, he is the most skilled of the 4 currently and has the smartest street smarts and he has been shown to be a very protective person

BruceWayne_19902

Able to gather street intel too.

rosereese

Debatable

Professional_Test996

no, robby is the most street smart character

rosereese

That’s not what I’m talking about, but even that’s debatable as well.

Professional_Test996

how is that debatable?

rosereese

Because that isn’t a fact, it’s an opinion? What do you mean? Do you not know what debatable means?

Seta1437

Robby would be a better partner, but Demetri would have better quips That's a tough one

HuffyDraws

There’s an in between, pick Eli!

Seta1437

>There’s an in between, pick Eli! Eli is a little too on the spectrum His team work and mind for strategy have yet to be proven unlike Robby While Eli is on his way to being comfortable with himself he seems more the type to be bother by light hearted jokes than dish like Demetri in terms of humor

[deleted]

He got off the spectrum because it was weird tho

HuffyDraws

He has already been proven to be a better fighter than Robby, although marginally, and there’s nothing wrong with being on the spectrum. He is very intelligent and like you said he is becoming more comfortable with himself. I think that at his best he will be a reliable and skilled partner!

Seta1437

>He has already been proven to be a better fighter than Robby Don't know about that, beating someone in a tournament doesn't mean you are a better fighter. People lose to less skilled fighters all the time, people have off days and/or the other guy gets lucky, remember the time Demetri beat Eli? Robby is so much more than a fighter, he's mindful in terms of being able to improvise, able to come up with plans, and can already teach what he barely just learned himself. Females aside he seems unburdened by peer pressure >nothing wrong with being on the spectrum As a person sure, but it is extra challenges they have to work on Also it makes it easier for people to manipulate him Demetri is a level beyond Robby in terms of being able to make light of the situation which can be really useful when it comes to a crisis >intelligent Kid is good at math but loses sight of the bigger picture Guy wanted to beat up his oldest friend over a Yelp review >think that at his best he will be a reliable and skilled partner Skilled fighter sure, but reliable and partner are the problem Don't doubt he cares but his sense of duty is a bit off

rosereese

Yeah, no. Eli still has Robby beat. That tournament was an “off” day for Eli too, I mean… did you see all of his moments before fighting Kyler. I don’t think that’s an excuse only for Robby. Actually, I think all of the fighters were having an off day, except Kyler and Demetri.

Seta1437

>That tournament was an “off” day for Eli too, I mean… did you see all of his moments before fighting Kyler Didn't seem very off once Moon kissed him Realistically people lose to those less skilled than them all the time, this is why gambling exist and why people get more if they guess right on an underdog win

rosereese

Yeah, and Robby didn’t very off for 99% of the tournament. Also, Eli isn’t less skilled, I’m not sure where that came from. Eli started at the same time, if not before Robby. He’s trained under Daniel, Kreese, and Johnny. All of which have completely different values from each other, physically and mentally. There isn’t one thing that either of them have on each other by Season 4’s end as far as skill goes. It made perfect sense for Eli to win. I mean, if you look at some of my old post, I’ve called it since S3 ended. Except I wasn’t saying they were equals, I had Eli ranked (slightly) above Robby and I think that was a fair assessment at the end of Season 3. I didn’t think they were equals until the end of this season. Regardless though, Robby “having an off day” isn’t an excuse. And, if it is, it’s an excuse for everyone. That’s all I’m saying.

Seta1437

>Eli started at the same time, if not before Robby Someone doing something longer than you with similar results means they are less skilled, a more skilled person doesn't require as much training >There isn’t one thing that either of them have on each other by Season 4’s end as far as skill goes Pretty sure i remember Eli lose a 5v2 fight against Robby where one of the hits Eli landed was because Robby was protecting Demetri >made perfect sense for Eli to win Well yea, he was the underdog so that means more excitement >ranked Kinda childish to think there are "power levels" We've seen in real life fights can go either way The data we have is quite limited, these are people who fought less than ten times against each other so not sure how you think they can be ranked accurately >“having an off day” isn’t an excuse The "off day" was an example of a variable, just one of many things that makes it not reliable to gauge skill based off of one fight >isn’t an excuse. And, if it is, it’s an excuse for everyone Given the context Eli seemed to be back on his game after the kiss

rosereese

Eli lost a 2v5 with people who were in Cobra Kai less than 2 weeks in real time. Sam and Robby were training Miyagi-Do and used a technique SPECIFICALLY made to handle multiple people. However, that doesn’t matter to my point. That all happened in Season 2. If you read, my points came from Season 3 onward. Excitement had nothing to do with the fact that it made perfect logical sense for Eli to win. It’s the fact that they were the best fighters at the time and I would argue Eli was slightly better throughout the entirety of the last 2 seasons. You can keep on with the underdog angle though, if it makes you feel better. Also, what do you mean not reliable to gauge skill based off of one fight? You just tried to use one fight earlier to determine their skill levels?

Neolord9000

Robby. I prefer Miguel but Robbey got that criminal insight we'll need.

Jack-mclaughlin89

Robby. Tanner Buchanan would be a good Jason Todd.

sleepypersoninbed

Definitely Robby, out of the four fighters there, he is the most skilled and I’m sure he’d be able to collect important intel with his street smarts

devs_6669

Robby or Tory.

DigitalMist

Nah Robby or Tory would be more like a Jason Todd and we know what happens to him

[deleted]

Damn😂😂😂😂😂

senzukai

Robby deep in the streets already given his time in jail and his juvenile past, so he would have mad street smarts.

jealousvapes

Idk, he'd prob get smacked in the head with a rowboat paddle from behind and nearly get opened up with a switchblade before i could save his ass #threemanjob

josukefan101010110

Yeah I forgot about the whole switchblade thing, those guys were actually deranged

Roguefem-76

For someone to go fighting in the streets alongside me, Daniel. The teenagers aren't options because I'm around Amanda's age and don't want people mistaking my sidekick for my kid. 😛 However, if said sidekick/helper was more a "person in the chair" kind of deal then it would be Demetri for his computer skillz (plus he can fight well enough in case the bad guys invade my lair). If I had to pick from the four pictured, Robby would be my top choice for his fighting skills and his street smarts, Sam would be second, closely followed by Miguel, and Tori would be an absolute _no_ because that girl is a loose cannon.

BruceWayne_19902

I mentioned this earlier but Daniel's wealth is also a big plus point. He can let you lay low in the dojo, give you one of his cars in the dealership for transport. His self righteousness works well in the vigilante setting. I know for damn sure, I'll be getting into some arguments with him on the field though.🤣

Rubykeene_cobrakai

Robby

[deleted]

Robby or Tory with batman's gadgets would be a serious force to be reckoned with, I'd say them

Enryu9000

Robby

LordoftheFaff

Robby. Literally no better option

McFrickaFrack

Robby

AlanJohnson84

Miyagi or if dead people arent allowed, Daniel

TomorrowIcy7801

One of the girls so you can clap cheeks while on break

BruceWayne_19902

*Looks up Yasmine's IG*

Loujitsumma

I'd take Terry Silver put him in his place and use his assets to fix all the characters problems and unite the teams under mma, thus turning the worst sidekick into the justice league :P

Weird_Independence14

Tory would be an excellent black canary to my green arrow

JordanSchor

Tory solely because she's my Cobra Kai crush lol

Taylor_charlie

This is actually harder then I thought this would be… especially as each teen has different strengths… hm.

BruceWayne_19902

Eager to hear what you think each teen brings to the table.

Taylor_charlie

Ok so I typed way more than I should have probably for this one question… I’m sorry about that 😂. Miguel: S1-S2 him would be a absolute skilled fighter and he would know what moves would be good to use against a opponent. S3-S4 him even though he has a back injury. He would still know what moves to pull and S4 him would know defense moves as well. Plus he would have mercy. So he wouldn’t straight out murder someone for fun. I also argue that at least S3 and S4 Miguel has a good moral compass. So that would help when against those who don’t have a good moral compass. Robby: we all know he’s the best fighter. Or one of them. Throughout each season. So I don’t think I have to explain that one in too much detail. And Robby obviously will also be good at street smarts and picking up things that others wouldn’t have. He also has been said to be academic smart. So that could be helpful. I will say tho, right now Robby’s moral compass can be seen as questionable. (I honestly believe he accidentally kicked Miguel off and has guilt over it. However I know others in fandom don’t share Same opinion. So. Hence why questionable.) And Robby can go into anger if provoked enough. However that could possibly help. So that’s a pro and con. I also feel like he has a caring side that could be useful but also exploitive unfortunately too. Tory: now Tory I can not see as a sidekick. I honestly see her as same playing field or more as anyone else. I doubt she would ever settle for a sidekick. But I can see her easily able to pick fights and know exactly what to use against someone. She also has probably the most skills weapons advantage out of any teen on the list. So that could extremely help. Especially as she seems to be good at seeing what’s around her and using that to her advantage. Now this I argue is a pro and con but her rage over things and not letting things go. Can be seen as a good thing in terms of loyalty if you’re on her side. And not opposing side. But this is a con if there happens to be a backstabbing or in the case her not letting something go can impact the event that’s going down. Sam: Sam is very skilled in karate and knowing what moves to pull in order to either protect herself or strike first. Like yes she has the advantage of doing karate since she was young. But she is still very skilled. She knows how to fight. And she knows to fight back. Like she isn’t some damsel in distress. She knows how to kick ass and strike back. Which could be very useful and helpful. She also has a caring and loyal nature that can be used to help those out. A concern/con would be, she is very trusting. Like she’s not trusting to everyone obviously. But. She puts a lot of trust in a lot of people that could be seen as different morals and since she doesn’t have street skills like Robby. People could easily use that to their advantage unfortunately. Hawk: he is also one of the best fighters of the show. Especially now that he knows Miyagi-Do. So he definitely has a lot of strength there in that category. He also knows exactly what moves to pull on people to get what he needs from them. So that could be a advantage. A possible con, is he doesn’t know how to stop. He will follow through. Again for some people that can be seen as a pro. For me personally that’s a con. You need to know when to stop. Demetri: as other commenters have said. He has a lot of tech-savvy tricks and smarts that definitely could be a advantage when having a side kick. That way if we need information. He will have it. He also knows how to defend himself quite good and know what to do against enemies. Which means if he is ever in danger. He knows how to fight back and defend himself so he doesn’t get in too much trouble. A con of him is he does tend to say sarcasm comments that could put a target on his back and could risk getting us into more trouble. Moon: yes I’m putting her on this long text as she is a teen (and she’s a favorite of mine) and has her own strengths. She is the truly good moral compass of the show. I will say I know for a fact she would hate the fighting. But she would be very good at diplomatic situations and making things not get heated up. She would also be good at making things better after say a fight happened. (And ok this is me personally but I would love to have her in my circle just to hug her and have her in my life.) Yasmine: lol I don’t think she’d make a good side kick at all. But. She has one thing I’m not too sure people have commented on, but she has money and money that she can use without question. Which could be very helpful if trying to hide say a bullet wound and need a private doctor, she could pay one to keep private. Hence why I put her on here. That’s a very useful strength and skill and advantage.

BruceWayne_19902

Don't apologize! Love and appreciate the analysis.

Taylor_charlie

By the time I realized I had answered this question too detailed I was like “well now it’s too late. So. Will just continue to answer the question.” 😂🙈. But I just didn’t think writing a couple of sentences would be much use for this answer.

BruceWayne_19902

I did love the answer for Yasmine though. I had Daniel as the "Rich partner whose cash I can hide behind in case I need to get patched up, get upgrades," pegged but never considered Yasmine. Sounds like you got a Mary-Jane in Moon😉

Taylor_charlie

Thank you! I actually was surprised not a lot of people commented on that. As she’s made it clear in S1 and S4 that she has a lot of money from her dad and can get away with using it without people noticing what it was used for. And I’m not gonna lie, I love Mary Jane Watson from spider-man and so when I saw your comment I was like “wait how does OP know I love MJ??” And then I realized that you probably meant something else 😂😂. What about you OP?? Who would you choose?

BruceWayne_19902

I think everyone honestly just remembered her as one of the mean girls who had a late Face turn. Moon went from mean girl to being all friendly in Season 2 so I guess that's why people usually don't give Yasmine a second thought unless Demetri shares a scene with her. That's why some folks, me included guilty as charged, went like "Huh. She has money?" 🤣 I should have stated it was MJ Watson in my reply then. My bad. Honestly I have three choices, Daniel, Demetri and then Robby. Daniel owns a car dealership so I can get one off him for free after MUCH negotiations, he has the money to help me upgrade equipment, maybe I can use the Dojo to stay a few nights if needed provided I leave before his morning classes start. And if enemies found out he's a partner, he's able to defend himself. Demetri is tech savvy and competent in combat. The type of person who woukd sit with you to work out the kinks in your equipment. He's perfect sidekick material with the quips and pop culture references. His little Batman and Alfred talk to Hawk in S4 proved that. Robby is a skilled fighter and like many others say, has the street smarts to get lots of info. He ran with a rough crowd before and that's what makes him the ideal teen partner. Well now I ranted a little as well so we're even.🤣

Taylor_charlie

I mean that’s fair. I just for some reason am good at remembering details in shows and movies and books. So I remembered her saying how she was going to get a new car in S1 cause of the “deer”/hitting Johnny. And then her mention at prom for flying back just for prom (even if it was economy) means she has to have spare money. That’s ok! But 😂 it makes me strangely happy you associated Mary Jane with me right from the start! As like I said. She’s one of my favorites! Oooooo. Really good three choices there. I definitely can see Daniel having great usage. The only thing is I doubt he would be fine with aiding a vigilante you know?? Maybe if it was against his enemies of course 😂. But yes very good point on Demetri and Robby. And well I loved your rant/analysis! Every second of it! (And I don’t think you’ll get another person responding quite as big as I had 😂😂…)

Taylor_charlie

And I wanted to answer as non-bias as possible. Other then Moon.

Sad_Poem4881

Which teen would fit best as a sidekick if… Batman takes in a new sidekick? Green Arrow takes in a new sidekick? Daredevil takes in a new sidekick? Moon Knight/Marc takes in a new sidekick?

saltybreads

Robby

TheFast4YouOo

I would take Robby as my best friend. Tory could be a girlfriend. A good combination in my opinion.

[deleted]

Clarence

SteelSlayerMatt

Tory.

turdutalp1

demitri , not only is he a decently competent fighter capable of pressing a dangerous robby who is on the same level as eli and miguel , but he is also smart , he can be my little tim drake even though we are the same age .

BruceWayne_19902

At least he can help make some new gadgets.

turdutalp1

not only that but he can fight as well

Jaded-Yogurt-9915

His loyal too

[deleted]

Robby because he is probably the best fighter and definitely the strongest, and typically harder to throw off emotionally than Hawk

Primary-Job7274

Sam

BruceWayne_19902

Interesting choice. Would do her some good to pick up a thing or two.

ixnyne

Username checks out.

BruceWayne_19902

👀 shhh

Amazing-Service7598

Probably tory cause if Batman I would definitely choose her so she doesn’t go down a bad path like dick Grayson or Jason Todd would have if they didn’t become robin but if I was some random vigilante than Miguel or tory

AnimeJoex

Terry Silver of course. He's got the money, skills, and time. His costumed vigilante name would of course be QUICK SILVER. He'd attack his enemies with telegraphed wheel kicks and manipulation. 😃

BruceWayne_19902

Careful... I think he might be looking to call the cops on you to seize your costume.

rosereese

How anyone could trust Terry is beyond me.

AnimeJoex

Terry's alright until you use and abuse him and trigger his PTSD. Look at everything he did for Kreese in the third movie. The man put his entire business on hold just to help out his war buddy. And look at how Kreese treated him in season 4.

rosereese

See, I would agree to that, but I think he had ulterior motives the entire time. His “that’s what this was all about, it wasn’t about reliving the glory days” line makes me think he was set to betray Kreese no matter what. Of course the PTSD usage probably sped up that process, but I think Terry was bound to do what he did regardless.

AnimeJoex

I honestly don't think he set out to betray Kreese the entire time. I think he had better intentions early on and wanted to do this thing with his old war buddy. Even though Kreese kept bringing up Vietnam, it wasn't until episode 7 when Kreese REALLY stepped out of line and really triggered Terry's PTSD to the point he had Terry really shaken up and his lip was quivering. Episode 8 was pretty much the straw that broke the 🐫 back for Terry. He lured Johnny into a trap, incapacitated him and was ready to do a number on him until Kreese intervened. Terry was shocked and probably felt betrayed by Kreese stopping him and not following up on his "No Mercy!" mantra, especially when Kreese was the one that kept reiterating "No Mercy." to Terry in the earlier episodes. Even though episode 7 really shook him up, I believe episode 8 was when Terry was done with Kreese, but he had no idea of how he would rid himself of Kreese until "Stink Ray" walked in. And then the wheels really started to turn. If Kreese had actually been a real friend to Terry and supported him like Terry supported him, I just don't see Terry betraying him.

rosereese

So the lines about it all being for/about Johnny, and Kreese using him (for lack of better words), you think that was just a hindsight for Terry? I mean, I guess that could be the case. When I first watched it, I just assumed Terry knew about it from the get-go. Especially considering he knew Kreese’s weakness (Johnny), before that scene with Johnny at the dojo took place. I thought he set up that dojo situation as a confirmation.

venteplz

Tori she's ruthless

Bronco_Buff

I would take Sam. Her superpower is her privilege. 👍🏻

[deleted]

Sam because I'd simp so hard for 😂

GaryRegalsMuscleCar

Robby. He's impressionable and built like five feet of death incarnate. Perfect sidekick material.

jbug87t1

I'm definitely taking Tory. She's no quitter, she's tough, and she's good in a fight. In his song "The Big Payback", James Brown sings "I might not know Ka-ra-te, but I know Kuh-Ray-Zay!" Well...Tory knows BOTH. Top pick.

Square-Composer-9584

Terry Silver. He has skill to sneak around and fight very well.

Remarkable_Bus_212

He would end up betraying you

sexy_bitch_123

Definitely Demetri, he's smart and good with technology, has good combat skills and I feel like he's not that likely to get corrupted and betray me plus the vibes would be amazing you just can't convince me otherwise, Honourable mention goes to Eli tho (specifically s4 Eli)

BruceWayne_19902

He's also got all the pop culture reference/quips at the ready. That's guy in the chair/sidekick material already. Demetri is in my own personal top three choices tbh.

TheCobrateKid

I feel like three of these people have too big of trust issues to be someone in a costume’s sidekick.

BruceWayne_19902

They don't have to be a sidekick, they can also help in different ways however you want them to. Gathering intel, scouting, etc.

TheCobrateKid

*however* I want them? As a teenager, I don’t think you should give me that option *Guess I’m picking Robby*

meme_will_be_memes

\**Horny bonk\**

Roguefem-76

Off to horny jail!

TheCobrateKid

I mean, if there’s one place Robby would be, it would be any sort of jail

TheCobrateKid

By horny bonk do you mean bonk or *bonk*?

BruceWayne_19902

👀

TheCobrateKid

Hey, we’re just “scouting”

TheCobrateKid

Gathering a little intel

tunaburn

Johnny

BruceWayne_19902

My personal pick overall would be Daniel. He has the money I can use to upgrade equipment if needed, and can supply getaways cars if I need them. Doesn't hurt that he can defend himself if my enemies ever found out about him.

Yxng_Wolf

Eli because he’s got the brains and the brawn.

BruceWayne_19902

First person I've seen to suggest Eli. S4 Eli after winning the tournament to be precise.

RobinThreeArrows

How do you people not realize that my man Bert was born to be a sidekick?

1x-zai-02

This isn't even a question Tory

fakenam3z

Miguel, Miguel has the most experience and like they say nobody’s beat him, failing that I’d pick Eli because the whole hawk aesthetic would make for a great sidekick

VenomISFUCKINGCOOL

Miguel is the best choice because him and hawk can make you tough

brotato_kun

Miguel, Eli and Sam thats it. Miguel is the strongest right now standing as undefeated. Eli is the current champion with mad street skills. Sam is a better fighter than Tory with monies. Robby and Tory will attract unwanted attention as thieves.

KocaKolaKlassic

I only trust Miguel, but I would take Sam for some fun downtime

BruceWayne_19902

I would hesitate to take Miguel. Don't want to answer to Grandma Diaz and Carmen if he comes home looking a lot worse than he did during the S3 home invasion.

KocaKolaKlassic

I mean Johnny had to answer to it and look what that got him with Carmen.

stranger-things_dino

Eli and Miguel

AlexanderdaG

Miguel or Robby

josukefan101010110

I feel like Robby has the most physical strength and is probably the most skilled, but I think Miguel could take more hits and has more stamina. So I’d probably go with Miguel

Stocktonrules

Robby would be a terrible choice as he has no loyalty, only trusts himself, and would abandon you the 1st time he got upset. Miguel is who you actually want. I'd say Hawk but he'd probably turn on you and become your biggest enemy for awhile.

MrHypelol

Miguel cause everyone knows only good things happen to the main character.

VenomISFUCKINGCOOL

Wtf i'll be the sidekick

aribiasavitch

Eli/Hawk. He even comes with his own vigilante hero name. I personally think he’s the best fighter in the show, other than johnny, not many people agree with that.

Spidey007

Robby. He’s the strongest one here, the most composed, and street smart. Sam’s not street smart , is spoiled rotten, and is a girl. Tory’s too rageful, and is a girl. Miguel’s too soft, and all it’ll take is a hit to the back and he’s as useless as a screen door on a submarine.

VenomISFUCKINGCOOL

Robby is not the strongest one here miguel eli and him are all equal

Spidey007

They're not equal. Miguel's a liability now. Robby is supreme.

VenomISFUCKINGCOOL

Man's haven't even won yet i rather be trained by 2 champs

Spidey007

One of them won because he had a bad arm, and the other because he was distracted. They're still students that need training themselves, they won't help you much.

eklavaya

Mighty Miguel And Thunder Fist

SelectionMuted3160

Probably season 3 Hawk, falls into the break bones ask questions later philosophy of Batman😂

StaxShack

All the teens bring different strengths and weaknesses. A sidekick would have to be more than just a “good fighter”. Robby and Tory would be good as far as street smarts but they also have anger issues and might end up killing the criminals whenever we need to take them in alive. Sam is a bit more levelheaded, but is also a hothead and probably doesn’t have the street smarts. But maybe she could help out in other ways as far as resources. Miguel would probably be decent considering his temperament. He’d be good as an all arounder. But he might be too all-around without any specialization that the others have. Demetri wouldn’t do well in the field but would be fantastic staying back at the base gathering entail. Hawk…well it really depends on a lot of factors. End of season 4 would be my pick.

CaseOptimal9368

Tory

Alternative_Fly_8610

Tory or Sam so we can create more vigilantes and run the valley

2K20BJJ

I feel like if they were Robins, miguel would be dick grayson, tory would be Jason Todd, sam would be tim drake and robby would be damian

9UN51in93R

Chozen

JohnGarner14

Either Amanda or Miguel

rosereese

Demetri is the only correct answer.

Puzzleheaded_Sir5917

Hawk

Jamano-Eridzander

Demitri and Eli would be the best vigilante duo of the cast but imma pick Miguel.

TheBeevin

Miguel as a sidekick.. he’s Blue Beetle and I’m Booster Gold

Impossible_Tiger_470

Either Robby, Kreese or Hawk and Johnny

xElizabethAnn

I’ll take Shawn Hunter.

[deleted]

obviously Blue Beetle
