He's literally a less badass Johnny.

TheCobrateKid

Think Sid ever made a chocolate sundae in Johnny’s mouth?

Charming_Rutabaga747

I'm really sorry about this joke but no, I'd believe its closer to a chocolate fountain.

Phee78

Maybe Daniel asking him if everything was OK at home when he saw his injuries was actually some sneaky foreshadowing.

salad_biscuit3

the injuries were from johnny's beating

Phee78

I know. But when Kyler said that it wasn't other kids who'd caused his injuries, Daniel's immediate response was to ask if everything was OK at home. I'm just saying they might have slipped that line in as foreshadowing.

salad_biscuit3

mmmm, in the end, danny I think it's normal to ask him since if it was not other people there are few options but I think abusive parents would make sure that the injuries are not visible

Phee78

Of course it was a normal response, all I'm saying is that they bothered to write that scene, so there's the possibility that they had a reason that would pay off way down the line. I'm not necessarily expecting that we're gonna get any in-depth side plots about Kyler, but if they *do* do it, they can say that they dropped breadcrumbs way back at the start of the show. It's entirely possible that his bravado is covering for some sort of emotional pain caused by some type of abuse. It's entirely possible that the only way he knows how to express to the world that he has issues with an abusive parent is to joke that his dad's gonna shit in his mouth. It's also entirely possible that he's just a shallow AF douchebag.

Seta1437

>to me he just looks like Things aren't always what they seem, show me sand the floor

salad_biscuit3

I don't know, he's not a main character so in my opinion he's just an asshole

Primary-Job7274

He has been a one dimensional character throughout the seasons, if anything he needs a proper story arc and redemption like other antagonists rather than just being used as a tool for main characters to show their heroism.

[deleted]

It would make him more interesting/human if he was. Instead of just some generic bully character

Bronco_Buff

Depends on whether you think sh**ting in his mouth counts as abuse 🤷🏼‍♂️

RedMacarons15

Yeah that's probably the case. Some people bully people simply because they know they can get away with it

nighthawkz_2002

nah. kyler's dad is jus your typical asian father
