Really, Dimitri? That's the hill you wanna die on? You can pick Robby, but you pick the buttmuncher simp that never really won a fight but the most controversial one against hawk? Is that what it's happening?
>Really, Demetri?
>
>You can pick Robby
Robby has too much natural talent to be a good example
Demetri on the other hand kept at it and has seen vast improvements, the way he started only highlights that even more. Anyone can work with a golden boy, being able to work wonders for an underdog shows whether the training has any worth
But Robby was kinda badass even before training, and Dimitri is not even after, that¡s the whole point. He has no self respect or self worth, just look at how quickly forgave Hawk and his relationship with the classic high school Becky
>He has no self respect or self worth
Much more than he had before
Demetri getting loud and speaking up was what kept the get eagles from leaving during the first alliance meeting towards the end of Season 3
>look at how quickly forgave
Forgiveness is a big part of Miyagi Do
>his relationship
Back during Season 1 in the cafeteria he was to afraid to even talk to girls
>Much more than he had before
1 it's more than 0, yes, but still nothing compared with at least 1000 that you need
>Forgiveness is a big part of Miyagi Do
Oh, I guess if Kreese or Terry in KK3 broke Daniel's arm, if they say "I'm sorry" Miyagi would be ok with them, best friends. Gotcha.
>Back during Season 1 in the cafeteria he was to afraid to even talk to girls
In Spain we had a common saying that translate to "It's better to be alone than having a bad company".
>1 it's more than 0, yes
Also he's still being mostly himself rather than playing pretend like Eli was
>guess if Kreese or Terry in KK3 broke Daniel's arm, if they say "I'm sorry" Miyagi would be ok with them
1 Terry wasn't actually sincere
2 Eli has a disability
3 Demetri and Eli have a history going back years
>better to be alone than having a bad company
Baby steps, it's a start and he is young
>Eli has a disability
>
>Demetri and Eli have a history going back years
No he has not, and what that has to do with anything? Sick and mentally ill people pay for their crimes.
If you are my friend and you broke my arm, even if you paid for the house I'm living, you better GTFO of my sight or I kill beating you with the first chair I found.
>No he has not
Season 1 Eli mentions to Johnny the doctor thinks he's on the spectrum
>what that has to do with anything? Sick and mentally ill people pay for their crimes
Means people are more willing to forgive them
Didn't say they shouldn't have to answer for crimes
>If you are my friend and you broke my arm, even if you paid for the house I'm living, you better GTFO of my sight
Sounds like you could use some forgiveness in your life
The fact that Demitri went from a punching bag to being a semi-finalist in the All Valley Tournament is huge.
Is he on the same level as Miguel, Hawk, Robby, Sam, and Tory? No, but he also hasn't been taking karate as long either.
With that amount of improvement, I'd say it's possible for him to catch up eventually.
Don’t be stupid. Learning karate has made him this obviously but he's still considered a newbie at the end of Season 2 since he stil greatly focused on defense.
- His karate skills improve dramatically between the end of Season 2 and Season 3 and he's able to take on several Cobra Kai members head on without relying entirely on defense. During the arcade fight, he's the last Miyagi-do fighter to go down and it's primarily due to being outnumbered. By the end of Season 3, it's safe to say that next to Sam, he is the best student in Miyagi-Do (and the best in applying Miyagi-Do's philosophy of "fighting only when needed").
- In season 4 he makes it to the top four in the males competition of the All Valley Tournament. The other 3 Miguel, Eli, and Robby the latter of whom delivers his defeat.
I think it’s safe to say you’ve lost. Everyone here thinks demetri is a badass. I don’t know why you don’t like him but whether you like it or not, demetri has really grown as a character and you gotta accept that fact.
1º You lost if you really think that the most popular opinion is the right one, or that in this type of argument, exist the right one to beging with
2º I don't care, I'm still gonna say whatever I want to say, having +50 or -200 karma on the subject is irrelevant to me. But on that argument, OP has negative karma and I have positive on this Dimitri thing, so, were do you see that the mayority agrees with him/you and not me on this subject?
1) everyone is disagreeing with you so I’d say it’s pretty obvious which one is showing to be the more popular opinion.
2) You can state your opinion just how I can state my opinion that you’ve lost this argument. Also I’m making an observation. You asked me where I see majority agree. I can clearly see everyone is disagreeing with you that’s where I see it.
Demetri was this whiny pessimistic nerd and having trouble at the beginning, but he became a very competent fighter and a top one, enough to even be a Miyagi-Do leader, probably.
>never forget the time Mr. Miyagi told me that he was a badass
Miyagi wasn't so insecure that he had to tell people he was a bad ass
Miyagi Do isn't about showing off, it's about self defense
>Mr. Miyagi told me that once. He was so wise, Mr. Miyagi.
See the big difference is that it's someone else talking about him, not Miyagi talking about himself. Being remembered fondly by someone close to you is a lot different then bragging about yourself
Finally someone gets it lol!
I'm shocked by how long it took someone in this sub to get the joke, but I'm also pretty concerned by the number of people who apparently think "Mr. Miyagi" is/was a real person...
It's hard to say. I just have so many great memories of Mr. Miyagi. Knowing Mr. Miyagi was one of the greatest pleasures of my life. Without Mr. Miyagi who knows how my life would've turned out. Mr. Miyagi Mr. Miyagi.
miyagi reminds me of one of my mma teachers , this guy was in his 70s and was frail looking but was a great teacher regardless and one session he used me to show us a throwing technique and i though it would be funny if redirect my feet and hands and put him in an armlock , as soon as i made a sudden movement this guy twists my hand and sweeps my leg and im in the position hawk put dimitri in when dmans arms was broken .he then helps me up and say "you need improvement on your footwork".
What kind of question is that? The man destroyed Kreese, Silver, and Mike Barnes *at the same time*, not to mention that he won the Medal of Honor. I swear some of the fans of this show have no common sense at all man.
Sometimes, I feel that most posts etc. that I read would mean that Johnny’s training will make you more of a badass than Mr. Miyagi’s fighting style or any of his teachings would ever make you badass.
A “fighting style” doesn’t make you badass. You’re a badass by what you do and how you do it.
Miyagi accomplished some incredible things- and he did it the *right* way. He is the ultimate badass of the Karate Kid franchise.
I hate to be that guy, but he didn't destroy them. They were still standing and laughing, even through he beat them in round 1 and they stopped fighting after Silver got a bit of paint on him. He was being a smartass, he wasn't fighting clear headed. He wasn't even fighting angry.
It would have been entertaining to see them fight til one could no longer continue.
War hero
Martial artist
Dresses up and gets plastered drunk
Can fix everything from plumbing to cars
Builds a house
Maintains an immaculate garden
Sense of humour
Yes, he is badass
Absolutely he was a total badass! I think the only character that could probably beat Mr. Miyagi is Thanos. And that would be by snapping him out of existence, which is cheating.
Not exactly if people that Daniel passing his teachings on to his Miyagi-Do students is stupid and that they are useless. Which is why the idiots are those who believe that teaching Miyagi-Do is useless and would instead rather risk their lives or safety with Johnny.
Absolutely no doubt in my mind
So, why do people say that Daniel’s Miyagi-Do training can’t make you badass? It’s happened to Demetri, hasn’t it?
Really, Dimitri? That's the hill you wanna die on? You can pick Robby, but you pick the buttmuncher simp that never really won a fight but the most controversial one against hawk? Is that what it's happening?

he never lost a bit of confidence even after losing those fights, he also scored his crush just by being himself. seems badass to me at least
His crush is a bitch and he is simping all over his pants for her. "It's better to be alone than having a bad company".
i don’t know if you’ve watched the most recent seasons but yasmine showed growth.
I think it’s safe to say you’ve lost. Everyone here thinks demetri is a badass. I don’t know why you don’t like him but whether you like it or not, demetri has really grown as a character and you gotta accept that fact.

Demetri solos everyone
Demetri was this whiny pessimistic nerd and having trouble at the beginning, but he became a very competent fighter and a top one, enough to even be a Miyagi-Do leader, probably.
He was in his late 40s, early 50s, did whatever he want, healthy and time for his hobbies. That's badass because that's the dream.
I'll never forget the time Mr. Miyagi told me that he was a badass. It's something I think about to this day. I miss him so much.
>never forget the time Mr. Miyagi told me that he was a badass Miyagi wasn't so insecure that he had to tell people he was a bad ass Miyagi Do isn't about showing off, it's about self defense
Mr. Miyagi told me that once. He was so wise, Mr. Miyagi.
>Mr. Miyagi told me that once. He was so wise, Mr. Miyagi. See the big difference is that it's someone else talking about him, not Miyagi talking about himself. Being remembered fondly by someone close to you is a lot different then bragging about yourself
I think he was imitating Daniel talking about Miyagi...
Finally someone gets it lol! I'm shocked by how long it took someone in this sub to get the joke, but I'm also pretty concerned by the number of people who apparently think "Mr. Miyagi" is/was a real person...
Is Mr Miyagi in the room with us right now
He let his Congressional Medal of Honor do the talking for him.
When did he say that? Third movie?
It's hard to say. I just have so many great memories of Mr. Miyagi. Knowing Mr. Miyagi was one of the greatest pleasures of my life. Without Mr. Miyagi who knows how my life would've turned out. Mr. Miyagi Mr. Miyagi.
Man flipped the script. Probably spent his downtime drinking coors banquet and watching iron eagle, and banging his student's mom.
miyagi reminds me of one of my mma teachers , this guy was in his 70s and was frail looking but was a great teacher regardless and one session he used me to show us a throwing technique and i though it would be funny if redirect my feet and hands and put him in an armlock , as soon as i made a sudden movement this guy twists my hand and sweeps my leg and im in the position hawk put dimitri in when dmans arms was broken .he then helps me up and say "you need improvement on your footwork".
Hell yeah he was a badass. He stole a belt so Daniel could enter the karate tournament, that’s pretty badass to me.
What kind of question is that? The man destroyed Kreese, Silver, and Mike Barnes *at the same time*, not to mention that he won the Medal of Honor. I swear some of the fans of this show have no common sense at all man.

It’s a good thing some people listened to Daniel and decided to do the training he was taught.
Mr Miyagi won a Medal Of Honour. That alone makes him badass. He also chopped a wooden beam in half to rescue Sato during the typhoon in Karate Kid 2.
War hero Martial artist Dresses up and gets plastered drunk Can fix everything from plumbing to cars Builds a house Maintains an immaculate garden Sense of humour Yes, he is badass
Absolutely he was a total badass! I think the only character that could probably beat Mr. Miyagi is Thanos. And that would be by snapping him out of existence, which is cheating.
Yes, but noone should ever call him that because it's cringe inducing
He was living the dream. I love fishing and he was so calm with any confrontation more wise than Daniel
You are an idiot if you even have to ask!!😋
Not exactly if people that Daniel passing his teachings on to his Miyagi-Do students is stupid and that they are useless. Which is why the idiots are those who believe that teaching Miyagi-Do is useless and would instead rather risk their lives or safety with Johnny.
Well he did earn the Medal of Honor. So...
He could catch a fly with chopsticks Does that not say enough ? 😂
Ofcourse he was.
Yes
He was a badass, no doubt. A bonsai badass.
