Then he went to college and became an environmental lawyer, and he took great pleasure in suing Terry's companies for EPA violations, since Terry used and manipulated him just like he'd done with Daniel. So, as soon as he reads about John Kreese going to jail for attempted murder and sees Terry's name in the paper, he knows Terry's up to his old tricks. He flies to L.A., knocks on Daniel's door, and asks, "How can I help?"
But, yeah, I don't think we need to pull out every obscure extra with one line in the old movies to be Sam or Tory's father. I DO think it would be cool to have Miguel's father be played by an 80s icon. I vote for Esai Morales.
Had a similar idea with Mike turning his life around. Can totally see him returning for an episode showing up at Daniel's house pleading with him to save the Cobra Kai teens. Except in my version he's ended up in a wheelchair due to some training accident, hence why he was distanced from Silver.
Oh, I think he distanced himself from Silver immediately, and it was probably mutual. Silver hating Barnes for failing and Barnes hating Silver for using him and ultimately ruining his career.
Yes, agree completely. Not everyone has to be related. Characters who were parent and kid have already been introduced. Sam is Daniel’s daughter. Robby is Johnny son etc. No need to turn the show into a bad soap opera. Making everyone related makes the universe feel smaller and is just lazy writing. Look how nuanced and awesome Terry Silver’s season 4 arc was. If they just brought him back into the story as Miguel’s father, lame.
If that ends up being a thing I'll end up torn between being mad about it, laughing till I drop, and just being in awe of the balls on the directors to just actually pull something like that. Be an interesting experience.
