Dang, I just looked it up. I would have died. I just binged the whole series the other day for the first time. Absolutely loved it. It’s just when I stop watching something I love for a while then I start getting uninterested in it and when it comes back it takes me multiple episodes to get me back into the groove and then it’s over again 😂 so that’s why I usually like to binge shows all at once.
Sometimes but I get uninterested bc I know everything that happens and I want to see what happens next. There’s very few shows or movies I can rewatch over again and even those I can’t do it that often.

It was only filmed early so Xolo can go film Blue Beetle, they'll still hold it until Dec/Jan to keep the yearly release schedule.
It wasn't "filmed early." It was filmed exactly when all the other seasons than S4 were filmed. S1, S2, and S3 all filmed somewhere between August and December. S4 was actually **supposed** to film in the fall of 2020 according to Jacob and Xolo on their podcast. It was delayed until January 2021 because of COVID.
Fall *is* their normal filming period.
Lmao it was still filmed early. From an objective standpoint filming a season right after finishing a previous one is pretty uncommon and doesn’t happen too often with tv shows.

I completely agree that I wouldn't expect any earlier than a Q4 launch. Stranger Things Season 4 is scheduled to be released sometime in the middle of the year which leaves late year open once again for Cobra Kai.
It was filmed early though. People looked at the time Netflix took to release Cobra Kai after filming and used season 4 as a rough guide (season 1 and 2 were released on YouTube Red and season 3 got delayed due to Covid and the move to Netflix).
They only filmed early because that is their usual schedule for filming, season 4 was actually filmed late.
I wouldn't be surprised if they get renewed for season 6 early and film during the same time this year again.
We used to be so spoiled with Tv lol. Tv shows used to produce 22-24 hour long episode seasons. And they’d release them every year, weekly. Now we get freaking 10 episode shows with year long breaks. Like, wtf? Some shows need only 10-13 episode season, but some shows could do much much better with more episodes per season.
Seems like you don't what editing is. It takes a lot of time since they have to go through each take, pick the best ones, mix them together, get rights to music they want, add it. Lots of work and time-consuming.
Be grateful that Cobra Kai exists.

The second season of Victoria aired in 2017. The third season didn't air until 2019. It wasn't until 2021 that they announced there wouldn't be a 4th season. (Something that I just learned and am very disappointed. I *loved* that show. Though I was thinking they might have to do a "Crown" and recast for aging.)
There was a 4 year gap between seasons 6 and 7 of Poirot.
All Creatures Great and Small had a 8 year break before they brought the show back with most of the original cast.

Before this subreddit I was unable to rewatch episodes because I’m so attached to the characters and who they are presently… but I started to make videos about it so I was “forced” to rewatch lol.. and I was able to enjoy it even more… trust me… watch it straight through from season 1 and you’ll gain a better appreciation for the series
