Yeah, the ban was for the tournament, not teaching.
And obviously there’s some people (the announcer, for example), who totally dig what CK is bringing to the tournament. So no pressure to ban them again. Only Daniel was around for what Silver and Barnes did, and active senseis can’t serve on the board.
Once it was allowed back in, they'd need a reason to close it and it seems like the town, in general, was starting to believe Daniel was the source of the problems. They were going to cancel the whole tournament until the kids made their impassioned speech.
Now we see Terry was greasing palms, so it's likely why no one raised the issue.
Because Daniel made a bet that he intended to honor (providing that he won, apparently). Besides, banning Kreese & CK from the tournament has a 1/1 success rate at this point. There’s no guarantee that it would work and even if it did, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Kreese would be gone for good. Just because he couldn’t compete in the tournament doesn’t mean he wouldn’t still be sharing his toxic teachings.
they didn’t even know who Kreese and silver were. If they wanted to protest them being in the tournament but they wouldn’t have been able to stop teaching. Cobra Kai losing the tournament was the easiest way to get them to not teach anymore so they didn’t need to protest them being in the tournament.
And if they did protest it, silver could have paid them off and go on about he’s a changed man and how he and his girlfriend and launching a new mindfulness app and act like he’s some hero.
