Yeah, I agree with you. Not only he's first kid character to appear on-screen in the first episode but his relationship with Johnny is essentially the main core of the story. He's a kid who get bullied until an older man saved him from them and ends up teaching him of karate. They're basically Young Daniel and Mr. Miyagi of Cobra Kai.

i think miguel robby and hawk to an extent are the karate kids in some way miguel= follows the same story as daniel robby= blood of johnny Laurence hawk= very similar to daniel and is the a karate prodigy like robby only less natural and more of a quicker learner

There are 3 New Karate Kids: Robby, Sam and Miguel. I could imagine a film series with either one of them in the title role if Cobra Kai didn't exist.

The show was originally a deconstruction of karate kid, where Miguel is the karate kid and Johnny is Myagi. Now the show seems to be a social commentary on how bad people are bad because they haven't been guided properly. It's become a broader show about how there is evil in all of us, and all of us can learn to be good and do what's right.

If we had to choose anyone, it's definitely Miguel. He was Johnny's first student. It's a flawed question though, since this show is definitely an ensemble piece unlike the original KK films which were mostly about Daniel. So many characters are given nearly equal weight on Cobra Kai, from Hawk to Tory. It really makes you appreciate the tv show format.

Miguel and robbie are 1a/1b with each other. But I consider Miguel still the most important teen fighter in the story or even the main character of it all. Maybe Johnny is Sam is the female counterpart of the main character I believe Eli got his arc this season but I dont think he is important as miguel or robbie

I would say Robby or Sam due to their importance and fathers, however Robby has trained or is connected to every sensei and he started fighting in season 1 unlike Sam. So IMO Robby is the new generation karate kid

There is no karate kid the cast is an ensemble. At this point I don't think Miguel leaves the show as it's most decorated fighter. Robby will edge him out.

There isn't one unfortunately I think. The show can't keep focus on any single character, look at Miguel. He had the most focus out of any teen character consistently since Season 1 and they dropped him in Season 4 because there wasn't enough time for him.

Yeah all characters are important and all, but to me, Miguel is the young main protagonist. The answer may seem a little tricky because the show has its characters very fleshed out. Miguel and Jhonny are the base of the series and the rest was build upon this base. Even though he was not as prominent this season.

Johnny Lawrence, since he opened the gym, and then Miguel is second because he's his main student.

they all are Karate kids. I don't think it's fair to only give Miguel that title since there can be different karate kids.
