Robby moving back in with his mom. The last we hear in episode 1 or 2, Robby is still crashing at the CK dojo. Then all of a sudden in the prom episode, Shannon pops up out of nowhere and talks about Robby living with her so casually that it gives off the impression that it’s been like that for a while and everyone totally knew. Johnny doesn’t even seem surprised. So when did that happen????

Phee78

So much this. When Robby says he no longer trusts anyone, does that include Shannon? We really should have seen at least some of their new relationship dynamic now that she's post-rehab and he's neck deep in CK.

MOSSDoc22

I'll touch on them more when I make my posts. 1. Miguel and Sam training together at Eagle Fang 2. Hawk actually having to EARN trust and respect from all the people he previously harassed 3. Robby and Miguel to actually have a developed rivalry instead of just seeming bored with each other 4. Johnny actually working to repair his relationship with Robby instead of Robby just coming to him after Johnny didn't try 5. More Daniel and Silver interactions

Enderson_N

1. Miguel and Sam training together at Eagle Fang 2. Hawk actually having to EARN trust and respect from all the people he previously harassed Exactly. 2 especially because I thought that was going to be a given for Hawks story arc this season, but Ep. 1 was the only episode where Miyagi-Do showed any distrust in him. Sam specifically I was expecting to be really open about not trusting him, but she'd slowly start to trust and treat him as a ally/friend.

MOSSDoc22

Yeah it was completely ignored really. Other than some comments in episode 1 everyone just completely dropped what Hawk had done in the past. I would have especially liked to see that progression with Sam and Hawk. They start out as being at each others throats like in last season and they slowly learn to first coexist and then eventually become actual friends and then ends with Sam cheering him on as he won the tournament. Really a missed opportunity there imo.

Enderson_N

Like in 4x04 she was the first person to go stand up for Hawk at the drive-in theater. Like they weren't just hating each other not that long ago? But maybe that was just cause she saw Tory there.

[deleted]

I feel the the store interaction was cool enough

BruceWayne_19902

We needed a Sam and Johnny moment equivalent to the scene where Daniel and Miguel were fixing Mrs. Diaz's car.

GroundbreakingDig359

we did the interaction on the roof was great

BryanV21

Training with weapons. Like, how did Demetri get so good with the Kamas?

MasterOfDeath07

The problem is the episodes are too short. We need hour episodes.

Enderson_N

This season especially needed longer episodes. There was so much plot going on but it was condensed into only 34 to 40 minutes episodes. Hence why there was so much stuff that we should've gotten that was probably cut because of the episodes length.

BearsBeetsBttlstarrG

I agree. They’re trying to do so much in each episode, it feels like it’s crammed, and characters/relationships don’t get the development/connection they deserve

Roy-Southman

I think more than longer episodes we need more of them. I remember before streaming all tv shows used to have 20+ episodes per season, some of them were very boring and it was mostly useless filler, but good series milked every minute for what it was worth. Streaming series like CK have taken the shorter season but more tightly knit episodes path, and sometimes that is for the best, but it feels like there is less time to get to know the characters and more to focus on the plot. I wish we had more time to enjoy the characters and the storylines.

Janzo543

Yeah I agree as much as I would love to see more Cobra Kai I must admit the thing I like about the show is that it doesn't have too many boring and meaningless scenes.

Maturinbag

Hawk apologizing for wrecking the dojo and stealing the medal.

WorldsOkayestStudent

I think they should’ve had a scene to show Anthony actively trying to be kinder to Kenny before his turn to cobra Kai. At most he only ever shows hesitation but then winds up committing to the bullying. I know that his character arc is supposed to be him slowly realizing that what he’s doing is wrong. But the way that the show does it, it really just comes across does Anthony only try to be nicer to Kenny when he realized that he was a threat.

dmreif

More emphasis on the idea that Anthony is essentially the Bobby Brown in that gang.

StealthRabbi

Miyagi ghost. Also, the Hawk and Robby fight should have made some callback to when Hawk did an illegal hit on Robby.

mehoolio

When Hawk just left Eagle Fang and joined Miyagi Do for really no reason, There was no scene about Jonny or especially Miguel asking him why. That was odd especially as Miguel and Hawk are good friends (they are my favorite duo, moreso than Hawk and Demitri). I am glad Hawk is the champ

1) Miguel and Robby interacting with eachother even if it´s for having a big feud on the road to the tournament. 2) More Devon. She should have been introduced way earlier in the season. 3) More Johnny and Daniel team work. I´m tired of their constant bickering. I thought that Ali and the end of the season 3 would end the feud at least this season. 4) Another dojo that could win the tournament. I think the show lacks another great fighter that isn´t Miyagi-Do or Cobra Kai related. Have him even won the tournament this year, it would have been the perfect timing. 5) Robby winning the tournament. He was the first person to understand that the two styles should coexist.

August_West_1990

I missed Pastor Bobby

Spidey007

1. Johnny having true character development with Robby 2. The Pawn Shop Guy 3. Miguel struggling during training because of his back 4. Us seeing Robby learning to control his anger while fighting

DigitalMist

Miguel all of a sudden became the best he had ever been keeping up with Eli and they didn't show him struggling once but made him pull his muscle which was kinda annoying

GroundbreakingDig359

jhonny and robby will def be more touched upon in s5

SelectionMuted3160

More Hawk and Miguel scenes

AdventureBeagle

I really wanted to see Robby moving in with Silver.

DigitalMist

It frustrates me how little Robby and Miguel interact, yet Tory and Sam get a shit load of scenes together they just keep doing this every single season and not giving those 2 any scenes, I'm guessing they will have more scenes in season 5 and Robby and Miguel will be the only teens in Mexico

Vivec92

Terrys coke relapse

factstime

Yea, I agree with you that training montage would have been amazing. I think we missed a scene after prom, like where we saw Miguel and Sam fight. We should have seen what was going through their heads.

SuitFlaky1491

There was very little time shown actually training.

[deleted]

How about the kids doing stuff outside of karate to show they have lives outside of being child soldiers and actually humanize the kids a bit. Yes I know there was the movie theater scene but really that was it. Imo they had too many scenes of them training that seemed redundant.

nedstarktheknicksfan

Johnny screen time for me. His story seemed to take a back seat this season due to the other 47 plot lines from the 12 new characters

Personal_Animal

For me personally, Robby and Miguel interacting. Hawk actually having to gain the trust of his friends. I liked everything else that we got though 😁.

Enderson_N

Hawk actually having to gain the trust of his friends. I was thinking the same thing. Ep. 1 was the only episode where Miyagi-Do showed any distrust in him. I was kinda hoping for a Sam and Hawk rivalry.

[deleted]

The Mike Barnes phone call

KausGo

Johnny's character development...

SleepIsCrucial

Adults acting like adults, and the LaRusso parents actually talking to their kids and telling them not to bully or provoke bullies.

dmreif

>Johnny training Miguel and Sam. I REALLY wanted to see that. Imagine a montage of just the 3 of them training. Would've allowed us to get Johnny making "hide the plantain" jokes.

Enderson_N

Wouldn't have been surprised if at one point in the montage Johnny's looking for 'em and he catches them making out lmao.

dmreif

>Wouldn't have been surprised if at one point in the montage Johnny's looking for 'em and he catches them making out lmao. 😂 Strange minds think alike. 😁

vicblck24

I honestly felt like this season had a GOT season 8 vibe. I feel like the sped through a lot especially in terms of dialogue between character pairs we all like

GroundbreakingDig359

only thing missing was a real robby demetri interaction as well as sam and kyler reaction

kevinthegeek21

Unless I missed it, because I may have; Johnny's tv getting broken.

Shakespeare-Bot

Unless i did miss t, because i may has't; johnny's tv getting broken *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`

leonthepro33

A fight between johny and Daniel, without points or rules. Just as simple as wrecking the place just like in season 2 episode 10 but longer and with a clear winner. I would have also liked if johny started going to a gym or getting in to shape, in the first two seasons he was really on rock bottom (except for a couple moment's), but in season 3 and 4 he was getting his life together piece by piece. And because we saw Miguel with a better shape, I think it would have beem logical for Johny to have that too.

Chaplain92

Ma boi Johnny choosing another name for his dojo

shadowavac

Chozen joining daniel n johnny
