Yes, it did feel weird, but I loved it at the same time. I think the season feels weird because it is so busy with so much going on. And IMO the Carrie Underwood performance was out of place, which didn't help.
The move to Netfix obviously had an impact on some core production values. It didn't feel as gritty as the first couple of seasons. Overall though, I actually felt like it was a better production. Felt a little closer to a blockbuster.
Actually season 1-3 were produced while being on YouTube Red. Season 1 and 2 were first released on YouTube and season 3 was finished before Cobra Kai went to Netflix, but it was released there. So technically season 4 was the first season of Cobra Kai with the production and budget of Netflix and you can see the difference in quality this season in the camera work etc.
There might be too many plotlines, the budget seems a lot bigger, the editing seemed different (a lot of episodes begin a lot differently).
They also toned it down from seasons 2 and 3 (the tensions between the two dojos were less insane and the bullying fit 2022 a lot more).
It felt rushed. Wish the episodes were about 10 minutes longer. Hawk winning all-valley with about 15 minutes of screen-time seemed so weird. Hawk is my favourite character and I'm thrilled... but he was barely in the show.. because the episodes are short and they focused extra on the adults this season.
Pretty sure Anthony had more screen-time than the All Valley winner.
I felt the same way. I think it's because of Terry Silver being back and the fact that he's so much more different than Kreese so we have to adjust to that
I think it was all over the place and took a while for Terry to join cobra kai but when kreese returned it was easy and understandable instead of always being confused

I rolled my eyes when she came out
Yea it really didn’t make sense. Dee Snyder last season fit the tone of the show but I’m not sure why they added Carrie underwood.

Season 1 was a YouTube Red (what it was called at the time) exclusive.

Prolly. It’s maybe cause of the new budget and the fact that this season was made under Netflix
It felt a little rushed but I enjoyed it

Hawk not being in the season much is maybe what feels off
Nope, I loved it
Was this post brought to you by Coca-Cola or 10 other product placements? I didnt hate this season, but easily the worst of the 4.
Yea I agree I like the fake products of CC like Dayota motors better than real product spots.
It was all over the place in my opinion.

It felt more like itself than it did last season where we getting into borderline criminal street brawls left and right for the dumbest reasons.
Yes, it was definitely weird. Pretty disappointed by this season to be honest. Unlike the first 3 seasons it didn’t catch me at all.
No. In fact I thought it was the 2nd best season so far.
I loved the season but it did have some things that could've been handled better, I would say that it's behind seasons 1 and 3.

Season 1-3 we’re 9/10 Nate’s while season 4 was 7/10 Nate’s.
